An Luxia slowly blinked her eyes open from the sunlight shining into the room. She did not have any classes today, and it felt great to not have to wake up from an alarm.
Once she opened her eyes, she noticed that Mo Han was staring straight at her with a smile, "Good morning, baby."
An Luxia pursed her lips out and squinted her eyes because she was directly facing the sunlight, "Good morning."
It was the start of a weekend, meaning she wouldn't have to go to school for the next two days. After some careful thought, An Luxia asked, "Do you have any work today or tomorrow?"
Mo Han raised one eyebrow, pulling her in towards him, "I do. . . but it isn't important. Why?"
He looked at her expectantly, which only made her slightly uncomfortable as she muttered, "Then do you want to do something?"
"Do something? What is that something?" Mo Han grinned, which brought upon a few seconds of silence since An Luxia did not know what that something was either.
After a moment, Mo Han smiled and pushed himself up, lifting the blanket off of him, "Come on, wake up now. Let's go eat breakfast."
An Luxia knit her eyebrows together, "Then what about -"
"Come on," Mo Han walked over to her and pulled her out of the bed, dragging her into the restroom and helping her put the toothpaste on the brush before going over to get ready himself.
An Luxia grudgingly brushed her teeth, thinking about whether they should go to the beach. . . But it was getting cold, or go to the shooting range again. . . but they did it already.
She took her time until Mo Han finally rushed her and the two of them walked over to the dining room to eat the prepared breakfast.
As they ate, An Luxia continued to ask Mo Han what they would do, and he only nodded his head and told her not to worry.
After they finished eating, An Luxia thought Mo Han would surprise her by telling her that he was going to bring her somewhere, but that did not happen.
Instead, he kidnapped her into his work office with him to get work done. Yes, get work done. An Luxia angrily plopped down onto the couch, writing her novel as she occasionally glared at Mo Han, who was focused on doing the work on his computer.
After she had finished writing several chapters already and was nearing the end of her novel, she finally slammed her laptop close and stood up, "Are we actually just going to sit here and do work the whole day?"
It was finally the weekend and Mo Han still wanted to do work?! She couldn't help but wonder how in the world a leader of an underworld organization had so much stuff to do.
Were they planning some secret action plan again? But she didn't see anything special on the news recently.
Mo Han didn't even look up upon her words, which only made her more frustrated. Just as she was about to speak again, Mo Han suddenly stood up and walked around the table.
"I'm done. Come on, let's go now."
An Luxia frowned confusedly and followed him out of the office and out of the mansion, "Where are we going?"
"You will know when we arrive."
They got into the car, and An Luxia put on her seatbelt, "Are we going to go eat lunch? I'm getting hungry."
Mo Han grinned, "Okay, let's go eat lunch first." Then, he turned to the driver, "XX Restaurant."
An Luxia's mood finally lifted slightly knowing that they were going to go get yummy food. They arrived at the restaurant and ate quickly, mostly because An Luxia was wondering where Mo Han was going to bring her and he wasn't eating much either.
After the meal, they drove again, but not in the direction back to the mansion. Instead, they got further and further, till they reached a location near the beach.
"Are we going to the beach? I was thinking about going to the beach this morning!" An Luxia exclaimed, thinking that the two of them thought alike.
Mo Han reached over, helping her remove her seatbelt although she could well do it herself before replying, "Not the beach, but somewhere close to the beach. Come on, you will know when we arrive."
An Luxia curiously followed Mo Han out of the car, holding onto his hand as they walked down the windy sidewalk, where you could see the vast ocean below you.
However, they never ended up going down to the shore, since they arrived in front of a beach house which seemed to be empty.
Mo Han knocked on the door twice and there was no response for a while until the door finally opened just the slightest bit, revealing a woman's face.
The woman seemed to be a little older than An Luxia, and she was very attractive, with bold red lips and large eyes. Upon seeing Mo Han, she opened the door a little wider, which revealed her perfect body curves which were exemplified in the sexy red dress.
"Mo Han!" She exclaimed, not seeming very surprised.
An Luxia narrowed her eyes slightly at the sight of such a beautiful young woman that seemed quite close to Mo Han. She instinctively grabbed onto Mo Han's hand, which made him smile.
"Good afternoon, Madam Jin. Let me introduce you to my wife, An Luxia."
An Luxia stepped forward and smiled faintly, nodding her head slightly, "Nice to meet you, Madam Jin."
The woman named Madam Jin looked at An Luxia up and down, which made her slightly uncomfortable, before she smiled back politely, "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Mo. I have heard a lot of things about you."
A lot of things. . . An Luxia thought. What were those things? Were they good or bad?
"Come in." She opened the door wider and Mo Han stepped in, An Luxia closely following. When they stepped in, An Luxia realized that the room was brightly lit, which couldn't be seen from outside.
The room was filled with different colored fabrics that were laying on the ground, on tables, on chairs, everywhere.
There were also several mannequins, each with a beautiful dress on them. An Luxia looked around curiously, wondering where Mo Han had brought her.
"What type of dress would you like?" Madam Jin sat down, taking a sip of the coffee she had on her desk as she asked Mo Han.
"The best you have."
She grinned slightly and stood up, walking over to An Luxia, "Let me introduce myself again, Mrs. Mo. I am more widely known as Jin Qi."
At once, An Luxia's mouth fell open as the name Jin Qi rang a bell inside her mind. Jin Qi was the queen of the fashion industry, known for his unworldly talent and sense for fashion design.
"You are Jin Qi?!" An Luxia gasped, her eyeballs falling out of their sockets, "I love your designs! I am a huge fan!"
And it was true. She had first seen Jin Qi in a magazine when she was still in high school, and had fallen in love with her clothes since then.
Jin Qi smiled faintly and walked around An Luxia, looking at her carefully, "Thank you. Mrs. Mo, do you have any fashion preference? Like what dress style you like?"
An Luxia looked over at Mo Han, still in shock, "A dress?"
"Yes, you will know what it is for later."
An Luxia wondered why he was always so mysterious. Why couldn't he just tell her what the dress was for?
"No, I am fine with all designs."
Jin Qi nodded and looked up, walking away, "I will be right back."
"Hanhan, how do you know Jin Qi?" An Luxia immediately asked after she was gone.
Mo Han grinned and lifted his chin up proudly, "Your husband knows many people."
An Luxia scoffed and was about to ask him what the dress was for when Jin Qi came back, holding several different colored dresses in her arms.
"Mrs. Mo, please follow me. Let's go try on the dresses."
An Luxia looked towards Mo Han, who nodded, and she followed Jin Qi into the large dressing room, where she helped her put on the first dress, which was a light yellow dress that made her skin seem to glow under the light.
She stepped out and saw that Mo Han had made himself comfortable on the couch, sipping a cup of tea. He looked up from his phone when the curtains were drawn open, and his eyes sparkled when they landed on An Luxia, but the next second, he said, "Next."
An Luxia raised one eyebrow as the curtains closed again and Jin Qi helped her put on the next dress. One after another, she switched from dress to dress until finally, they finished on a red dress that seemed to cover her body at every inch, and Mo Han nodded, "This one."
An Luxia glared at him unhappily, looking at her own reflection. The dress had long sleeves and a high neckline, and it looked like something an old lady would wear to her birthday party.
The dresses before this one had all looked so much better, but obviously, Mo Han didn't want her to look good. . . in front of other people.
Surprisingly, they did not have to pay for the dress as they left the building and returned to their car. She lifted the dress up as she entered the backseat, looking at Mo Han.
"Where are we going?" It was almost dinnertime already, after spending so much time trying out dresses, and she was getting slightly hungry again since changing was also a tiring form of exercise.
As it was nearing winter, the sky outside was already dim at this time as they left the beach area.
Mo Han looked over at her and smiled as he looked at the dress she was wearing, "Today is Qin Wei's grandfather's 80th birthday, and they are holding a very extravagant party. They invited many people, including me. I didn't plan on going originally, but since you wanted to do something, there is no harm in going."
An Luxia blinked a few times, not sure if it would be a good choice to mingle within a large group of high-class people. However, there was only one thing that mattered.
"Will there be good food?"
