"My son, are you worried right now?" The man paused, expecting an answer but not receiving one, so he chuckled, "You do not have to worry. I only wanted to meet her."
Mo Han's face was so cold that the owner almost peed his pants as he turned around and walked into the back kitchen to avoid having to see the scary man.
"Where is she?" He asked, turning to look at his worker sitting at the table with his laptop open as he typed away.
"Why are you so scared? Don't worry, I won't hurt her! There is no point in doing that. She is enjoying her time with me here in Country A." Mo Siyan closed his eyes as he spoke, twisting the glass of red wine that looked like blood in his fingers.
Hearing this, Mo Han immediately hung up the call and turned to his worker, "Did you get the location?"
The worker nodded, "Yes, we got it this time. It is in a. . . it is on the border of Country A. It seems like a forest on the map."
Hearing this, Mo Han was more certain as he stood up, marching out of the coffee shop, "Prepare the helicopter. We are going to Country A."
---
In less than half an hour, all of them were on a plane in the air. Mo Han continued to type a chain of letters and numbers into the computer as they flew across the sky from Country Z all the way over to Country A, which took a few hours.
K glanced over at his boss occasionally, thoughts running through his mind as well. After all these years of working with Mo Han, he had never seen his boss this nervous before.
When the old man came to the mansion, K had been there too. Was it that man? Who was that man? K looked ahead then back at the people inside the helicopter. Since they were in a rush and they had to fly to a different country, Mo Han had not brought a lot of men.
Including Mo Han and K, there were only ten people. Although K did not know where they were going, he had a bad feeling that the ten of them would not be enough for whatever was to come.
"We will be landing now," The co-pilot said into everyone's headphones and right after saying that, everyone in the helicopter felt the plane drop as they began going down.
About three minutes later, they came to a stop on this large plain of dead grass in the middle of nowhere. There was nothing behind them but in front of them, there was a forest. All you could see was the large patch of trees, and in the darkness, you could only see a few rows of trees before it disappeared into darkness.
Even in the day, standing in front of the forest would seem quite scary, not to mention that it was nighttime.
Mo Han jumped off the helicopter, landing on the hard ground as he looked around. He knew that there were more than trees in the forest, but it would be hard to get there.
The trees were very dense, and it was impossible to ride a car in there, so it meant that they would have to walk.
With several men behind him, Mo Han entered the forest, his black shoes making crunching sounds against the leaves on the ground.
They held flashlights, walking through the endless trees, not sure where they were. The only source of direction was from the device K held, giving them directions for where to go.
It seemed like an hour had gone by, and Mo Han was getting impatient when K said, "We should be getting close. It is a few feet away."
Right after saying that, Mo Han's flashlight shone onto a wall, the first thing they saw in the forest other than trees. When the light hit the wall, there was a bang as suddenly, several lights turned on, revealing a large building that seemed like a grey warehouse.
Lights lined the walls, illuminating the forest around them, and there was the sound of birds flying away. They stopped as the door to the warehouse opened and a man walked out, wearing all black.
He had a black shirt on with short sleeves, revealing the green snake tattoo that ran down his left arm, and his bulging muscles were also very eye-catching as he walked towards them.
"Welcome," he said, holding his arms out, "I am Si's assistant. I will bring you to him."
Mo Han eyed the man cautiously, reaching his hand into his pocket as he took a step forward, and the men behind him also took a step forward.
The man merely chuckled but his eyes were fierce as he said, "You do not want to use any weapons on me. It will not be of any good to you, especially since you are on our territory."
Hearing this, Mo Han's men stopped and Mo Han also knit his eyebrows together tightly, his fingers grazing against the cold material of the handgun in his pocket. The man's smile widened by Mo Han's reaction as he turned around and began walking towards the door, and Mo Han and his men followed.
However, before the man entered, he turned around and pointed at the men behind Mo Han, his eyes scanning them one by one almost mockingly, "I'm afraid your. . . people can't come with you."
Mo Han frowned, "Why?"
The man shrugged, "Si's orders."
Mo Han looked behind at the HLX's people and nodded. The men took a step back, standing a distance away from the building. K frowned, exchanging a glance with Mo Han before he stood back too.
The man was pleased by this as he walked into the warehouse and Mo Han followed. After they entered, the door shut with a bang.
The building inside was empty, and there was not a lot of space as it looked like from the outside. Inside, it was a narrow hallway throughout as they turned left and right, walking through several closed doors. Finally, they reached a steep set of stairs going down, and the man turned on the lights as he began walking down quickly.
Mo Han followed the man down the stairs and it went down very deep before they finally reached the underground level. When the door opened, Mo Han realized that this place was much more spacious than the upstairs.
It was like a large house, but also like a business area. They made several turns, and they finally met other people now, all of which also had the snake tattoo.
After several turns, they reached a large door and the man stepped aside, "Here we are."
Mo Han looked at the man and then at the door and with one push, he opened the door and stepped in, looking around the large room.
It was decorated very well, like a royal palace with red carpet, dimly lit candles, bookshelves filled with different colored books, and even a large bed to one side of the room.
However, his eyes quickly landed on the chair to the other side of the room, because An Luxia was seated on it with her eyes closed.
He immediately ran over, realizing that her arms or legs were not tied but she was just unconscious, "Xiaxia, Luxia!" He called, and he was surprised when after a few times, she slowly blinked her eyes open.
She looked around the place and then at Mo Han, and seemed to suddenly remember what had happened, "I -"
"Come on, I'll take you out of here. Let's go." Mo Han grabbed onto her and she followed, not saying anything as the two of them made their way to the door, which was still open. However, the man that had just been with them had gone.
Just as they reached the door, another person came in, blocking their way. After the person walked in, the door shut, and there was a click, signifying that the door was locked.
Mo Han pushed An Luxia back when he saw who the person was, "Mo Siyan, what do you want?"
The man smiled, folding his arms together as he walked over to the couch and sat down. As he did, Mo Han tried the door, not surprised to see that it was indeed locked.
"Nothing. Didn't I tell you I wanted to meet her?"
An Luxia frowned, totally confused about what was going on. Meet her? Why did this old man want to meet her? Did she even know this old man? An Luxia looked at the back of the man's head and frowned, a weird feeling filling her gut as her eyes landed on the snake tattoo on his arm.
What was this place?
Mo Siyan crossed his legs together and then turned back with a smile, locking eyes with An Luxia, "I assume you don't know that you are dying yet?"
