This is a depressing time for Laura, she ended in a strange place, straight into the arms of a mysterious handsome stranger in the middle of nowhere.
With problems piling up one after another, she was lost on how to proceed next! She knows that she needs to go home quickly before the vampires find out that she was not in her house or else... all hell will break loose in her home. She was afraid that if she can't come home on time, the vampires will massacre her entire family along with the loyal servants that have been serving her family for many years.
She needs to plan her escape before that mysterious guy comes back! She looked at Sally. "Can you bring me some biscuits or bread, please?" she asked.
Sally nodded her head. "Yes, Miss. I'll go to the kitchen..." she said and left.
Laura rose to her feet and went to the area near the iron gate, Sally was telling the truth. The gate is high more than eight feet tall and two guards are guarding it.
Damn! She can't escape through the gate.
She went back to the flower garden and walked towards the forest at the back of the house. Is she brave enough to venture into the forest where overgrown bushes and grass might hide snakes and suddenly bite her? She might die by the snake's venom in there and no one can help her. If she dies in the forest, her death can't solve her problem. Her entire family will still be killed by vampires!
Tears welled in her eyes as her frustration grows in her heart, suffocating her.
She wants to go home badly!
She bit her lower lip and sighed heavily. She turned around heading back to the flower garden. She will just wait for another opportunity...
The maid was already there when she returned to the table. She lowered herself in the chair and poured the pitcher of lemonade into the glass.
Sally's worries turned into relief after seeing her coming back to the table. "I'm glad you're back, Miss. I thought you're already planning in escaping..." she said worriedly.
Laura sighed. "Don't worry I won't escape today," she said.
"If you're gone and goes missing...our Lord will kill me!" Sally said misty-eyed.
"Calm down, I'm still here," Laura said and drinks the glass of refreshing lemonade.
Fearing that she will escape, Sally remained in the flower garden watching over the Lord's mistress.
Hours went by.
Noontime.
"Miss, where do you want to eat your lunch... here in the garden or inside the Lord's room?" Sally asked.
"Just bring the food here. I want to eat my lunch surrounded by the blooming flowers," Laura replied.
"Okay, I'll get your food from the kitchen," Sally said and walked towards the house.
Laura waited for Sally to come back to bring her meal. Worrying much about her dire situation made her hungry. The flower garden is beautiful to look at but its charm can no longer cheer her up as she was deeply troubled by her current condition. Stranded in a faraway place surrounded by strangers with no chance to go home is the worst thing ever.
She was losing hope already...
Wait... if she can convince that handsome guy to send her home, maybe things aren't as hopeless as they looked to be.
But how to convince that guy? He was keen on keeping her by his side. Convincing him is her last option. She has no other choice, she will try her best to convince him tonight to let her go home the next day. Maybe...after hearing her explanation...he will take pity on her sad plight and release her.
Sally returned carrying a tray of food. She placed the tray on the table and arranged the dishes.
There was chicken soup, with ginger, and mixed with green leafy vegetables. There was also an appetizing pork dish stewed in tomato sauce, and then rice.
"Enjoy your meal, Miss!" Sally said.
Laura smiled. "Why don't you go back to the house and eat your meal as well instead of waiting when I will finish eating," she suggested.
Sally was hesitating.
ραпdα Йᴏνê|(сòm) "Don't worry, I won't escape today. Rest assured that when you return here I'm still here in the garden. You don't have to worry about me," Laura said reassuringly.
Sally smiled. "Thank you, Miss!" she said with gladness in her voice and sauntered towards the house.
Laura sighed and began putting food on her plate. She tasted the chicken soup, it tastes delicious. Next... the pork dish was tasty as well and it melts in her mouth. Liking the food, she eats ravenously.
Thirty minutes later, Sally was back in the garden. "I'm glad you like the dishes today, Miss," she said looking at the empty dish platter.
Laura smiled. "Tell the cook, I like her cooking a lot! She's a good cook!" she stated.
"Okay, I'll tell her. She would be delighted to know that the Lord's mistress likes her cooking skills," Sally said. She began putting back the dirty dishes in the tray. "Miss, would you like to stay here longer or back in the Lord's bedroom?" she inquired.
"I'll stay here for a while. I'll go back to the room, later. I'm still enjoying the company of the beautiful flowers," Laura replied.
"Okay, I'll go back to the house now. Is there anything you want me to bring for you after I'm done putting the dishes into the kitchen?" Sally asked.
Laura shook her head. "I can't think of anything right now. Oh, wait...do you have an empty flower vase lying somewhere in the house? I want to cut some flowers and put them in the flower vase and bring them to the room if that's okay," Laura said.
"Yes, we have. When I come back, I will bring the porcelain vase and the scissor to cut the flowers," Sally said and left the garden.
Laura sighed. She shifted her attention to the flowers as they were swayed by the gentle wind.
A few minutes later, Sally returns with the porcelain flower vase and scissor.
Laura picked up the scissor and walked towards the flowers, she was enjoying cutting the White Daisy and Pink Carnation. After getting satisfied with the number of flowers that she had cut, she went back to the table and began arranging the flowers in the vase. She smiled in delight while admiring her handiwork.
"It's nice to look at, Miss. You arranged the flowers beautifully..." Sally commented.
Laura smiled, very much pleased with her flower arrangement.
They stayed in the garden until 3:00 in the afternoon.
Then Laura began yawning and rose to her feet. "I wanna go upstairs and take a short nap," she said. "By the way, what time does your Lord return?" she asked the maid curiously.
Sally shook her head. "I have no idea, Miss. Usually, if he goes out of the house, he returns late at night and sometimes he would return the following day," she answered.
"Okay, let's return to the house now," Laura said.
Sally picked up the flower vase and they walked towards the house.
"What does the Lord do for a living?" Laura began interrogating the servant.
Sally scratches her head. "Sorry, Miss. I can't tell you..." she apologized for not answering her questions.
Laura sighed and no longer ask the maid another question or else she will only get disappointed.
They entered the house and climbs the grand staircase, they went straight towards the Lord's bedroom.
After putting the flower vase on the table, Sally left the room.
Laura was left alone to her devices. She lies in bed and stares at the flowers on the table. A few minutes later, she was already dozing off.
She slept for a few hours and woke up to see the room submerged in darkness. She left the bed and carefully navigated her way towards the door, she managed to locate the switch and turn it on. The light-flooded the entire room.
She looked at the window, the evening already arrived. Where is that guy? Why does it take him so long to come back? She's getting restless!
A few minutes later... the door opened.
