The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife
Chapter 274 - Deprived Of Two Greatest Feelings.Later everyone left with the exception of Zhenyi, Ryuu, and Xiuying. They stayed back only because they had to see off their guests. Although Ryuu was a Tang and it was not necessary for him to see off the guests after lunch, still he insisted on doing so as he was his father's son. Xiuying had no complaints. She genuinely liked Xin family though she still wasn't close to Zhenyi. She couldn't understand how could her Aunt Lily hated this family. They accepted her wholeheartedly without any prejudice.
It was only after they returned inside the mansion and Zhenyi picked up her handbag to leave, Xin Yichen felt as if his patience had reached its peak.
His daughter was the reason behind it.
Xin Yichen gave a warning look to Ryuu who raised his brow in return as usual, and then turned to speak to his daughter," Where are you going?"
"Back home," Zhenyi replied, walking towards the door. She used the word 'home' for Long mansion so smoothly that Xin Yichen was left baffled.
"I thought you would join me for dinner," Xin Yichen said."You haven't lived at the Long family house for a week and you already forget this old father of yours."
Zhenyi stood frozen, crossing her arms over her chest and her mouth pursed.
Ryuu glanced at his wife and spoke in her ear in a low voice, "Let's go out. They have some matters to resolve."
Xiuying nodded her head in acknowledgment.
They were about to leave the room, when Xin Yichen's voice rang, "You young man, Where are you taking your wife? You're not off the hook."
"Xiuying is tired. I'm taking her to my room. I'll be back later," Ryuu smoothly lied. "And then you can reprimand us both to your heart's content."
Therefore, Xin Yichen didn't stop them.
On the way out of the room, Xiuying looked at the nonchalant Ryuu walking beside her. 'Shouldn't he be worried that Uncle Yichen is angry with him and Zhenyi?'
As if he could feel her gaze on him, he glanced at her and she reverted her eyes.
He chuckled at her reaction.
"Don't worry, I won't eat you," Ryuu said.
"I'm not worried for myself," Xiuying said in a soft tone. "I'm worried for you. Uncle Yichen looks angry. Aren't you concerned that you will be scolded?"
"He will scold me?" Ryuu asked her and she nodded in reply. He laughed at the thought running inside her tiny pretty head. The look on his face was that of nostalgia. His Bà used to scold her years ago when he would play a prank on him to covet the attention of his mom."I'm still waiting for the day when he will scold me again."

Inside the living room.
Xin Yichen turned to his daughter again and said, "I expect answers, Zhenyi. Can you give me an explanation for your behavior today? And why are you running away without informing anyone? Most importantly, let's talk about the stunt you pulled yesterday."
"Fan Bingbing sure snitched on me," Zhenyi let out the bitter words.
"Just because your friend or brother didn't tell me, you thought I wouldn't know how you ordered your security team not to follow you?" He spoke in a reprimanding tone. He had never used harsh words with her. But yesterday, she had crossed every limit. Did she not know how many people wanted her dead?
This girl was hellbent on giving him a heart attack.
"Touchè, Bà."
Zhenyi added in a sarcastic tone. "Just because you won't tell me about something doesn't mean that I won't know. You were hurt by what I did yesterday, then what about your actions? You thought since you forbade everyone to discuss it, I won't get to know too. Wow, what a meticulous plan. I should praise you for it."
Zhenyi even clapped to enhance the effects, and sure it worked as the realization finally dawned on Xin Yichen.
"Who told you?" asked Xin Yichen as he heaved out a painful sigh. Now he knew why was his daughter behaving like that.
Zhenyi did not speak but it did not mean she didn't want to. She was controlling her words from escaping her mouth because she knew if she said something she shouldn't to her Bà, she wouldn't be able to forgive herself. Sometimes in anger and suffering, we say and do things we do not mean. So, rather than regretting later, it's best to gain control our tongue.
"Zhenyi, my intention wasn't to hurt you. I swear that I thought I was protecting you from pain. The way I took might be wrong, but trust me, my intentions were not. You were severely hurt, and when I saw you in that condition, I couldn't tell you. So I prohibited the doctors to tell you about your miscarriage," Xin Yichen tried to show his point, but only if it would be working.
Not to mention the fact, she was emotionally unstable for a long time.
Zhenyi laughed sarcastically at his words and why wouldn't she be. It was the cliche-est excuse she had ever heard.
"You had no right to make decisions on my behalf. I have been through worse and we would have lived through it too," Zhenyi whispered, tears collecting at the rim of her eyes. "You know what? I trust you the most! I always used to say that my Bà could never wrong me! He would never deprive me of anything. But Bà, you deprived me of grieving my child. I did not get to feel the happiness of his arrival, but I could have at least felt the pain of his departure. You deprived me of the two greatest feelings of my life!"
"I'm sorry," Xin Yichen could only apologize now. He hadn't thought that instead of making it easy for her, he gave her the biggest pain of her life. He knew she would break down after hearing the news. He had seen her trying to end her life several times when Ryuu brought her home about fifteen years ago. She didn't want to live because she thought she was the reason behind the death of her mother and sister. He knew that she wasn't at fault and how could he blame her for the inevitable?
Thus, he hid the truth of her own child when she lost it, he was aware of the fact quite well that she would blame nobody but herself, and that's what she was doing now.
So, he didnt regret lying to her for a single moment.
