"Do you remember how you used to fight with me over nothing so that I will stay with you for a little longer?" Ryuu said and then laughed and then his voice turned even more painful.

He caressed her forehead softly and "Ah, how can you? You don't remember the majority of your childhood. You forget many things, Angel."

Her stomach felt tight and there was a pain in her lower back. And her head hurt. She felt the pulse in her head.

And her hands and feet burned. She tried to move but she couldn't.

Her lower stomach was aching so badly. What happened to her?

"Don't forget me too, please." Something warm touched her forehead.

She opened her eyes. Or she tried to. She saw Ryuu. But she knew it was an illusion just like the bomb attack.

It was definitely not Ryuu and she was certainly not in an accident.

"B-bro-th-er," She said in a weak voice. Or at least it felt weak. She felt weak... and her back hurts, but not as much as her head. No, her whole body hurt.

What had happened to her? Was she in an accident? Was she dying? Fan Bingbing? Where was she? She didn't hurt her, did she?

Millions of questions were running in her mind but there was not even a single answer.

"My stubborn angel will never call me brother. Say Ryuu," His voice full of anguish.

Who was this guy? He was not Ryuu. He never talked like that. He was always in control and authority. Who was he and where was Ryuu? She felt him. She knew Ryuu was there.

Her husband? He was there too? Was he hurt? No, it couldn't be.  He couldn't be hurt because of her?

How would she forgive herself if something happened to him because of her?

I-I'am n-not d-dy-ing soon" She managed to say.

She tried to open her eyes and look for Long Jie but she couldn't. It was as if she had lost her capability to open her eyes and see.

"Shut up, don't you dare utter that word again. Talk to me angel," He told her, his voice quivering with panic and fear.

"My h-husband?" question Zhenyi in a hoarse voice.

"He was not there. He's fine." Ryuu informed her.

Stupid girl, she was on the verge of dying, and here she was asking about her husband. He didn't know what he gonna do with this crazy sister of his.

Relief flooded through her. He was fine. And nothing else mattered.

"You are always here whenever I need you." Zhenyi managed to utter the sentence without breaking it.

"I vowed to be by your side whenever you need me." Here, he was. The always caring and authoritative Ryuu who had made his life mission to help everyone out of their problems though he would never admit it aloud.

"Always the guardian, Ryuu." Zhenyi chuckled.

"You used to call me your Genie, Angel. Ask for anything. Anything, Angel. But just keep talking and never leave me." He begged.

Zhenyi's vision was fading. She could see the blurry face of Ryuu and his fading voice as he was urging her to continue speaking. She could no longer hold any more. Her chest was bleeding, her legs were aching like someone was constantly hitting it with an iron road. Her back was hurting even more than before.

She was sinking to another land...sinking deeper and deeper. No matter how much she was trying to struggle to reach the shore, she just couldn't move her organs. And just like that, she entered a world where she never ever wanted to go back.

'I want my Knight, Ryuu.' A sobbing little girl said.

Blood was trickling down her face. Paramedics were tending to her injuries. She had tightly clasped her brother's hand and was whimpering. She never thought she would see him again but here he was protecting her like always.

'I will give him back to you. Just come back safe. I will give you anything.' Her brother promised her.

'Ryuu --' with this passed out.

'Run, Zhenyi. Run. They will catch you. Run, Zhenyi. Run.' The girl subconsciously kept on mumbling as if the words were embedded in her mind.

"Angel!" Ryuu tried to wake her up.

She was lifeless on his lap. Her skin had losing color except the red painting her beautiful face, neck, and then her chest. Her lips were blue. She had a gash on her forehead. It was deep and red, but there was no way to stop the bleeding. He put his hand on the wound which suddenly started bleeding excessively.

"Run, Zhenyi. Run. Don't let them catch you. Run, Zhenyi. Run."Zhenyi subconsciously mumbled.

"Drive faster!" Ryuu barked.

"Shhh, I killed all the monsters, Angel. Open your eyes and look at me. You are safe. You are with your Ryuu."His voice was raw and helpless.  He took her wrist in her hand as if checking it.

"Run Zhe—" Her voice went quiet….

She was losing the pulse. It was not good. The whole situation was not.

"Angel!"

"I want my knight back, Ryuu." With these last words, everything went to black.

"I already gave you what you asked for," Ryuu whispered in the deadly silence.
