Chapter 431: The Headmaster’s Master

At the sound of the booming voice, Feng Tianlan raised her eyebrows in recognition. The voice was familiar to her.

What a strong spiritual force!

Those who found themselves frozen in place also had this same thought. However, they were not frightened but eager, because this powerful voice belonged to someone who belonged to the Flying Frost Pavilion!

A dark figure flashed by. He swung his hand and dispersed the force that held everyone in place. He also dissipated the active spiritual forces from the fight. Some people collapsed as soon as they could move again.

“Master!” Qi Hongan shouted happily as he watched the arrival of the dark figure.

Tu Xiupei and Qi Shujie’s eyes brightened as well at his jubilant call. They folded their hands as they kneeled in greeting. “Grandmaster!”

Their grandmaster had arrived. It must be because he was sick of the scourge, Feng Tianlan!

Now that Grandmaster was here, there was no need to be afraid of the Demon Palace of South Winds Nation were to get involved!

Following Tu Xiupei and Qi Shujie’s example, every disciple in the Martial Training Square kneeled where they stood and greeted in a loud voice, “Grandmaster!”

Feng Tianlan raised her head and stared at the old man wearing black clothes with greyish white hair. She frowned slightly. “It’s you.”

He was the Advanced-stage Spiritual Emperor who had been chasing her, wanting to be her disciple. He was actually...Qi Hongan’s master? But she had heard no rumors about this in the martial world. Could that be because he was reclusive?

“Mas—”

Qi Hongan interrupted the old man with an injured voice, “Master, she is from the Demon Palace and she plans to destroy the Flying Frost Pavilion. Please, Master! Protect the safety of the Flying Frost Pavilion!”

“That’s bullsh*t!” Luo Yunzhu’s face turned red in anger.

Feng Tianlan reached out with one hand and pulled Luo Yunzhu close to her. She shook her head and warned her with her eyes to stay silent. Then, she turned to the old man and spoke in a loud cold voice, “So, you’re the headmaster’s master.”

He was the master of the Flying Frost Pavilion’s headmaster. She wondered how he was going to deal with this situation.

“No—”

Qi Hongan cut in unhappily, “Master!”

“Shut up!” The old man scolded Qi Hongan, who had interrupted twice while he was trying to curry favor from his master.

A doubtful look flashed across Qi Hongan’s face but he shut his mouth obediently.

“What’s going on? How could a discipleship induction turn into a fight?” The old man folded his arms and glared at Qi Hongan. He dared to interrupt while his master was speaking—this brat must be tired of living!

However, being a respectable man, sincere about honoring her as his master, the old man decided that he must first find out what had happened. He must carry out justice for his master!

These brats who bullied his master today would not get away with it!

“Master, her name is Feng Tianlan. She refused to be disciplined even though she has been causing harm to our disciples on several occasions now. She has also exaggerated her ability to use three elements at the same time and disrespected me by insisting I am the one who is not worthy to be her master. She is clearly implying that you, Master, are also not worthy.”

The old man nodded to acknowledge he understood. “Go on.”

So, his master’s name was Feng Tianlan. What a magnificent name!

His master could practice three elements at the same time, making her the second person capable of that in all of the Guiyuan Continent. How glorious!

She even had the domineering attitude of a grandmaster. His master had even begun lecturing her grand-disciple. That was really impressive indeed!

He agreed with his master’s words wholeheartedly!

Qi Hongan’s doubts subsided quickly as the old man continued to nod his head in agreement. However, to prove that he was not abusing his power as the headmaster, he turned to Tu Xiupei and asked her to explain, “Pei’er, tell him. As her sister, you know more details about the foul deeds she has done in the South Winds Nation.”

“I can’t do that. She is my eldest sister,” Tu Xiupei rejected, merely to show off her sisterly devotion.

Qi Hongan said gravely, “You are now a direct disciple of the Flying Frost Pavilion, she is merely your Junior Sister. You should prioritize the Flying Frost Pavilion’s safety before your relationship with her in the past.”

Tu Xiupei hesitated for an appropriate length of time before she promised reluctantly, “I am truly sorry to my Eldest Sister but for the sake of the Flying Frost Pavilion, I will share what I know about the punishment she deserves and her misdeeds.”
