Regardless, after a bit of a melodramatic encounter, Malon and Ailen talked with each other and explained what had happened to them. Ailen appeared in that forest and was soon found by the witch called Siora Ailen couldn't look for the others and leave Ervan behind, so he had been there, training his archery and trying to apply time magic while waiting for Ervan's recovery… he didn't wake up until now, though.
"Just like me, she is burdened by a destiny that says that she needs to fight Tenebres," Vaeral said.
Siora had been watching everyone talking in front of her house silently, and when everyone looked at her, she just kept showing her usual annoyed expression. That wasn't surprising for her, so she knew a thing or two about Tenebres. The group thought that only a handful of people would be aware of his existence. Then again, it seemed that their meeting was almost bounded by fate, just like with Vaeral. It was the only explanation
"Don't count me in," Siora said. "Just heal your friend and leave this place. I am not someone you would want to get involved with."
"... You have a presence similar to him; you are related to him, aren't you?" Alien suddenly asked.
Everyone looked at each other and wondered what Ailen was talking about. The woman didn't look like Tenebres at all… then again, Malon knew that his friend was quite good at feeling things. He became an extremely good hunter because he lived in harmony with nature. When it comes to senses, he was almost unrivaled.
"That is none of your business," Siora replied, unfazed.
"I think it is since you decided to help Ervan out of responsibility… that is very clear to me," Alien said after he crossed his arms.
"Let's talk with a little less hostility, okay?" Malon asked.
"I am not being hostile at all. I am just pressing her for answers," Alien said. "If she didn't want to get involved, she shouldn't have helped us. I dislike people who do things half-assedly, after all. If you think that you are unrelated to the situation, they don't get involved in it. Otherwise, it would just become clear that you live here alone because you don't want to get involved in the situation unless you see a problem caused for it right in front of you."
Those two glared at each other silently for a while. Alien was the type who didn't hide what he thought, so it was easy for him to annoy others. Regardless, Aion felt that his guess was right… Siora had a connection with Tenebres. She had this aura on her… it was weird that he only realized that now and not in the tower. Then again, in the tower, he didn't know Tenebres.
"I will go take a loot at Ervan… don't increase the number of wounded for me," Cailena said.
It was unlikely that a fight would break out, but Cailena warned just in case. After seeing Malon using his new technique, Cailena applied the same principle to her magic, so her powers increased. Still, she had a hard time focusing when she saw the wounded Ervan… he had a large wound in his chest, and the surroundings were emitting a dark miasma… it was probably some type of curse that prevented healing.
Although that was something hard to deal with, Cailena was able to counter it because the curse made the wound remain like that, thanks to something similar to time magic. Ervan stayed unconscious because his body felt like the wound was fresh… even though many days had already passed.
When night fell, Cailena had dispersed the curse with her powers, but she worked until morning to make the wound close completely. Thanks to that, Ervan looked a lot better, but now Cailena was the one who needed rest.
"It seems that Ervan should wake up tomorrow. Cailena will need to rest until then as well," Alien declared. "We obtained some extra manpower, but I am not sure if Ervan will be able to keep up. Even if his body heals faster with Cailena's power."
"Rest assured, friend, with the spirits on our side, we are basically invincible," Vaeral said while he was practicing his wind manipulation and making himself fly in the air.
"... Okay…" Alien furrowed his eyebrows. "I can tell now why you look so stressed. He is the type that is hard to deal with."
"Someone that can finally understand," Malon said and then shrugged. "Anyway, let's kill time by training as well."
Siora looked like she had a few things to say about all that… just one week ago, she lived in complete peace. While she felt bored out of her mind, she was satisfied with that, but then some weirdos showed up in her backyard, and now they were making a ruckus in front of her house.
Siora came and left many times, she gathered herbs outside for a while, but nothing changed when she returned. Siora stood outside her hut, arms crossed over her chest, watching as those guys trained. She couldn't help but feel annoyed by their constant noise and commotion. They seemed to forget that others lived nearby, and she needed peace and quiet. Siora couldn't concentrate on her work with all the racket. She wondered if they were crazy or just stupid… as if anyone could actually defeat Tenebres.
While she watched them, Siora wondered what would happen if she were to reveal that she was Tenebres' daughter… most people would try to kill on the spot. Most people had more than a few things against her father, even though she never saw him and only heard stories about him.
She didn't want to meet him either, for good reasons and for bad reasons… she didn't want to meet someone that never cared about her and her mother, and she didn't want to fight her own blood as well… nothing good would come out from that.
