The Sorcerer's class has leveled up.

The Sorcerer's class has leveled up.

The Sorcerer's class has leveled up.

When Aion recovered from the shock, he saw the body of the enemy falling, and the notifications confirmed his victory.

Before the body could fall, Aion approached and then changed to the necromancer class and turned the former emery into a death knight.

"Can you talk?" Aion asked.

Aion didn't get a response… the body of the draconic wanderer had been mostly toasted thanks to the previous attack, and it seemed that it was already fortunate enough that he could fly by himself, considering that the brain suffered the same fate.

"Now I won't be able to tell who gave you information…" Aion thought and then began to meditate.

Since he was completely out of mana, it was the perfect time to attack Aion, so he tried to recover it as soon as possible while he watched the enemies below. The tornadoes had vanished a while ago, and it seemed that the remaining soldiers were waiting for their commander.

"Should I just make him go there and kill some guys to make them think that he has gone insane?" Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

In the end, Aion decided to be a bit more sneaky about that. He decided to summon his death knight archer and make him kill a lot of enemies and focus on the monsters to make them think that the defender's side was ambushing them.

When they saw the rain of arrows, they lost a bunch of men and then sent some more to look for the enemies. Aion summoned him back and made him appear at the back of their formation. He played that game until the enemies began to pack their things to retreat… Aion wasn't getting that much experience anymore since they were mostly small fries, and he didn't want to risk altering the future too much.

Soon enough, the sky began to get brighter, and then Aion moved North in order to look for the primordial firebird. There was no need for him to stay there anymore.

Since he felt really weird just thinking about the idea alone of sitting on the back of the draconic wanderer, Aion just stood there, and it looked pretty cool to fly that insane faster while he was looking forward with his arms crossed. The draconic wanderer could keep that form only for a while, though… half an hour considering Aion's current mana and if he doesn't try to meditate… he could fly at mach one, though. So, if it feels worth the hassle… Aion didn't even try to use the flying rune on him, and he wouldn't be able to stand on his back if he moved faster.

In any case, once he was back in the middle of the country, Aion used the relics again and then pointed to his starting point… it seemed that the divergence in that timeline had been finished. Now he just had to find a way to look for the primordial firebird.ραпdα `nᴏνɐ| сom

While Aion was thinking about that, the land began to tremble. Although he couldn't feel it since he was flying, he could sense that something was off since several volcanoes began to emit more smoke than before, and the temperature also began to increase.

All of a sudden, a volcano in the distance erupted, and then a massive blast of magma flew upward alongside something massive as well. Aion blinked several times when he saw a massive red bird in the distance that had red and orange feathers… the creature was at least one hundred meters long and one hundred fifty meters wide while its wings were open.

"I didn't have many chances to level up Tame, but…" Aion thought and furrowed his eyebrows when the creature began to fly toward him.

Once he was close enough, Aion realized that the primordial bird resembled a bit of a penguin that had feathers. The shape of its beak was similar, but it was blood red in tone. Eventually, the primordial firebird stopped in front of Aion while flapping its wings.

"Are you the one who protected my land?" The primordial firebird asked while using Telepathy.

"Maybe, that wasn't my intention, though," Aion replied. "I just wanted to get rid of a nuisance that was between me and my goal. By the way, my goal is to capture you."

pαndα`noνɐ1~сoМ "Fu. You think you can do it?" The primordial firebird asked.

"I can try," Aion shrugged his shoulders. "By the way, if you knew what was going on, why didn't you go to lend a hand?"

"That was unnecessary since I sensed your presence and intentions, and I knew that despite having the same power as the enemy, you weren't on their side," The primordial firebird replied.

"That sounds like bullshit, like I said, my goal is to capture you," Aion furrowed his eyebrows. "Also, if you know about time magic, then I should also tell you that in one version of the future, we became enemies, and I had to kill you."

"At least you are an honest one," the primordial firebird said. "As someone who knows what time magic can do since I have been living for thousands of years, I don't like it when people use it to change the past for convenience. I am willing to help you if you prove that you are worthy."

"How can I do that? A fight?" Aion asked.

"Wait until I deem it necessary to help," The primordial replied. "I am the guardian of the these lands, and I intend to remain here until I can tell that the world needs my help. Return to your time, and if I can tell that my powers are needed, I will offer you my assistance."

That seemed suspicious since it would give time for the primordial firebird to get stronger… still, Aion would like that if he discovered that the firebird was trying to fool him. Defeating it and then forcing it into submission will be fun.
