Killing those two would be easy, but Aion didn't know if his sisters were there yet, so he couldn't start the massacre just yet. In the end, Aion knocked on the door two times, and then he waited for the guards to open it. While they checked the other side, Aion did the same, and he saw the entrance of an underground room on the side of the dark throne room.
Aion quickly entered while the guards thought that they had heard things… there wasn't anyone in the throne room, and the place was almost intact… It was weird considering the war of twenty years ago.
"Mages and even warriors can destroy those walls quite fast… so why do they guard the entrance of the room but not the entrance of that place?" Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
Aion approached the place and confirmed that there was a heavy steel door on the floor… it looked quite different from the whole building, so he assumed that the criminals had brought that from their country.
Opening that will be easy. Aion could do it with magic, but lifting it without making noise will be difficult. Aion landed and then changed to his Necromancer class. Doing things like feeling the presence of others with his mana wasn't his forte, but he could do it.
After taking a deep breath, Aion made his mana enter the dark underground room and then felt a presence, two, three… four presences. That fits the number… However, Aion felt that it had been too easy so far…
"Let's just destroy and levitate the entrance with my Magic," Aion thought while cutting the ground around the door and wetting it as well to make it softer.
It didn't take long for Aion to see the iron door almost falling, but he made it levitate using his wind magic and then slowly made land nearby.
Aion jumped in and landed without making any noise before creating a fireball to illuminate the area. It didn't take long for him to find dozens of underground cells there, and the metal bars inside didn't look old or rusty… It looked like Aion's grandfather liked to keep his prisoners closer than his friends. It was almost a miracle that his mother didn't grow up to become a crazy and sadistic woman.
"I can see now why mother always looked as if she had accepted the doom of the kingdom without much of a fuss… maybe they really deserved it," Aion thought. "Even the shrimp grandma didn't look that bothered by it."
The smell in the room began to get quite bad once Aion reached the end, and he also found some shadows of people inside. Two men on the left side and two women on the right side, all in different cells.
Maisie was the eldest daughter and just a month younger than Henri. She was as old as the princess, and she looked a bit younger than she was with her curly, short black hair and clear light brown eyes. Darina was a tall woman, so her long straight black hair tied up in a ponytail sure suited her.
That was the image that he had of his eldest sisters… it had been around three years since he had seen them, and while it had been difficult, Aion recognized them lying unconscious on the ground of the cells. They had grown a bit, but it was hard to be sure since they were wearing dresses that had turned into rags filled with blood and dirt and other bodily fluids since they couldn't even more or had any place where they could go to the toilet.
Aion's mind went blank for a second, and the air around him began to vibrate. His mana was responding to his rage to the point that he even summoned small bluish lightning bolts. Still, Aion forced himself to calm down… he couldn't let loose yet. Vangel asked him to bring the corpses of the enemies, but it looked like Aion was going to bring a pile of ashes instead.
After summoning some water Blades, Aion cut off the iron bars with ease and then broke the chains that kept the arms and legs of his sisters tied up. Before anything, he tried to heal them, and the deep wounds began to close after he cleaned them with the water he had created. When Aion made sure that their bones weren't messed up, he turned them and checked their bodies with more care. His mind went blank again.
Aion never got too close to his eldest sisters, and he never felt that he could feel that much anger because someone mistreated them. Still, it was only because of his own naivety. Their mouths had signs of dried blood, and they were missing teeth… their tongues had been burned, and their nails had been pulled. They lost one eye each, and their breasts had been cut off… Aion made up his mind. The bandits' country was going to disappear…
When Maisie woke up, she felt like a gentle aura was enveloping her and healing her wounds. That must have been a dream since she experienced hell last week and couldn't even take her own life. Still, when she opened her eyes, she saw a weird family person nearby healing her, Darina, and their husbands. They were resting on soft beds, and the feeling of dirt, wounds, dried blood, and other things she got used to have vanished. When her vision improved, she recognized Aion.
"A… On," Maisie tried to say his name, but she lost even that ability.
"Don't worry, I am here, and everything will be fine now," Aion said and gently touched her forehead. "Just rest for a bit. I promise that I will make you recover completely."
Maisie fell asleep again thanks to this gentle touch, it felt like a dream, so she decided to fall asleep again. It was a wild claim, even more so when Aion barely leveled up the Priest class. Still, he is going to do that soon… and he was absolutely certain that the class would be able to do that, or at least an evolution of it.
