Chapter 791: Identity Is Not an Assassin
The assassins could not see how Jiang Li did it. They only knew that she only used a few moves and threw one of their companions into another trash can.
There was still room for one more person in this trash can.
Jiang Li closed the lid of the trash can and raised her head to look at the other people. She noticed that there was panic on their faces and they looked at her helplessly. No one dared to make a move again. They did not even dare to look into her eyes.
They were too afraid.
Jiang Li frowned in disgust. As she sized them up, she finally noticed that something was wrong. She asked in puzzlement, “You guys aren’t professionals. How did you get this dagger?”
As soon as she asked this question, the assassin acted as if he was scalded as he threw the dagger in his hand to the ground.
“We can’t beat her. Let’s go.” The assassin had to admit that their target was very powerful.
They thought that the girl in front of them was very weak and would be easy to deal with. Only now did they realize that she was not a simple person and was not someone they could kill.
Jiang Li noticed their retreat and sneered, “We’re already here. None of you should run. All of you should stay.”
This time, it was Jiang Li’s turn to stop them.
When there was only one assassin left, he leaned against the wall and turned to run. He only ran a few steps before he was kicked to the ground by an old man who suddenly appeared.
He rolled a few times in a sorry state and looked at the little old man with resentment. He actually pounced forward, but he was pressed to the ground again.
The little old man bent down and pressed hard on the assassin’s neck, causing him to faint.
He was Elder Mo, who had helped Jiang Li find the blue dagger to organize the assassin.
Elder Mo was full of energy. When he glanced at Jiang Li from the corner of his eyes, he said with dissatisfaction, “Little girl, are you so focused on dating that you forgot to practice?”
Jiang Li immediately felt that she had been wronged by Elder Mo. she placed her hands on her hips and pushed back the lid of the garbage can that she had secretly lifted. With a gloomy face, she said unhappily, “Master, they have several men against me. It’s fine if you don’t feel sorry for me, but do you still think that I’m not working hard enough?”
She looked as if she had been wronged. When she lowered her head, her eyes were red.
Elder Mo had only seen Jiang Li being ruthless and capable, but he had never seen her act like a little girl. She stood there aggrievedly, saying that he, as her master, had wronged her.
“I was just saying casually. Why would I think that my disciple is lacking in practice?” Elder Mo kicked the assassin under his feet and said with an embarrassed smile.
Jiang Li’s expression quickly changed. She quickly ran to Elder Mo’s side and said, “Master, why are you here? Did you follow these assassins?”
Elder Mo saw that Jiang Li’s hands were dirty and could not help but feel disgusted. However, he did not show his inner thoughts on his face. Instead, he silently moved to the side to avoid Jiang Li’s hands. He turned his head to look at the assassin on the ground and said bluntly, “Do they deserve my attention? I noticed that there was a guy in the vicinity, so I came over to take a look.”
There was another meaning in his words. He meant that he did not find the assassins who escaped but only found traces and clues related to the assassins.
Jiang Li sighed in disappointment. “They are quite powerful.”
Elder Mo rubbed his hands and said in a low voice, “Their weapons are all very good. I want them all.”
What weapons?
What did he want?
Jiang Li looked at Elder Mo in confusion. She saw the old man disappear from her sight before she could even explain.
“I really don’t understand master’s thoughts anymore.” When Jiang Li took out her hand to ask, Erlong rushed over.
When Erlong saw the assassin lying on the ground, he looked terrified. It was because he was pushed aside on the street and lost Jiang Li, causing Jiang Li to be in danger.
He was too incompetent as a bodyguard.
Jiang Li could see that Erlong was very ashamed. She raised her hand indifferently and said to Erlong, “It’s okay, i…”
She understood why Elder Mo had avoided her. It was because he disliked her dirty hands.
She also felt disgusted.
Jiang Li clenched her fists and pointed at the trash can in annoyance. “Tie them up and interrogate them properly.”
“There are two more people in the trash can. Don’t let them run away.”
Erlong looked at the lid of the trash can that was being lifted and immediately understood what Jiang Li meant. “I’ll arrange for people to come and clean them up. I’ll send you first…”
“No need.” Jiang Li waved her hand. She could vaguely smell a sour smell and frowned in disgust.
“I’m going home. You clean up.”
She almost ran home.
As soon as Jiang Li entered the door, she went straight to the bathroom in her room. She walked out with satisfaction only after she had cleaned up.
At this time, Erlong had also returned and was standing at the door.
“So fast?” Jiang Li looked at Erlong in surprise.
Erlong quickly replied, “Captain Yan took them away. I heard that they were just little hooligans on the street. They were paid to do things.”
Jiang Li seemed to be thinking and frowned. After a long silence, she said, “Are you sure they are not assassins? They are quite good at fighting.”
“They have practiced in the underground boxing city,” Erlong explained.
So that was it.
This made sense.
Jiang Li was extremely disappointed. She sat down at the dining table and said calmly, “We just need to find the person who ordered them to do it. I guess they are not big shots.”
“The things in their hands are very special. They have daggers and short arrows. It’s very difficult to find them now.”
