Volume 2, Chapter 464 First Entry To The Secret Territory
While passing through the space door, Shi Mu felt the purple light flash in front of him. He regained his vision after the light briefly disappeared.
In front of him was a vast green grassland.
The cyan weeds, which were almost as tall as a person, had spread to the end of Shi Mu's field of vision. It swayed gently in the breeze, like a wave in a blue sea.
In the vicinity of the area where it was located, hundreds of young people of different heights scattered with various expressions across their faces.
Among them, the tallest ones were more than two feet. The weeds did not even touch their knees.
Shi Mu gazed at his surroundings. He was slightly surprised and confused at the same time. He found that the person who had entered the space door with him at the same time was not beside him.
It was obvious. Upon entering the space door to the secret chamber, all candidates would be randomly transmitted to different areas.
As early as half a month ago, Shi Mu had already inquired about this relevant information of the secret trial through various channels.
Since each of the trials in the past millions of years had always been carried out in the same secret chamber, the internal situation was not classified as secret, so he did not expend too much effort collecting more intel.
Within the secret territory of the verdant hills in the green waters, it was a vast area like a whole new world. The news that was circulated outside was basically only about the peripheral areas. As for the depths of the secret territory, no one knew about it in detail.
However, what was certain was that the closer he got to the center, the more powerful and skilled the wild beasts would be. The risk factor was so much greater.
In the area around the periphery of the secret chamber, it was roughly divided into ten places, collectively referred to as the "Tenth Heavens World".
The area of the Ten Heavens World was extremely vast. The topography and landforms were entirely different. Some were deep never-ending deserts while some were rocky forests. Some were swamps that stretch for thousands of miles... Where Shi Mu was right now was in the pristine grassland.
The beasts in the Tenth Heavens Worlds each had an innate rank. Rare ranks and the highest rank in their hierarchy. Based on the hierarchy, the disciples would not know which is safer for them to go for to minimize risk.
Under Shi Mu's observation, there were still constant fluctuations in space were at a specific time, a person would be sent. As time went, the frequency got lower.
After some time, the area no longer had any space fluctuations.
During this period, someone began to depart. Though everyone was exposed to the alert that a blood bath among them would occur anytime, there had been no conflict for now.
Shi Mu understood because everyone who had just entered the secret territory from the space door started off with zero points in their token. Hence, there was no point in going into a meaningless battle. It would be just a waste of time.
As for now within Shi Mu's range, there were more than two hundred people. Some like Shi Mu had been observing their environment for some time now. Meanwhile, some of them sat on their knees on the grass and some even found people they were familiar with. Disciples from the same family began to communicate with each other to establish an alliance of sorts.
Upon observation, Shi Mu discovered that most of the people here were demons. With himself included, there would only be three Terrans.
One of the Terran youths was located on the northeast side of Shi Mu. His facial structure was perfectly aligned. His demeanor was calm and he had a distinctive hairpin on his head. His hair was hanging on his chest. He was dressed in a white robe that radiated a sense of elegance.
What made Shi Mu noticed was the atmosphere of the refined young man that was not exposed at all. With his knowledge he acquired, he was unable to see through the cultivation this young man possessed.
As thoughts were running in his mind, the young man suddenly turned and left the depths of the grassland.
Shi Mu looked at the back view of the man who left as his eyes slightly stunned.
"Big brother, are you from Planet of The Spirits?" a crisp sound suddenly sounded behind him.
Shi Mu turned around and saw a small ethnic girl standing in front of him.
The girl had short purple hair that was combed into a bundle of plaids pointing to the sky.
Her skin color was pale and fair to the point that her blood could not be seen. She had a short emerald on. Her look came across as very smart yet with the feeling of showering them with love and compassion.
Shi Mu looked at the little girl and he could not help but feel a little surprised. This girl was of such a young age yet she had already achieved an early stage of Earth Grade.
"No, I am not from the Planet of the Spirits." Shi Mu responded with a smile.
"My name is Zi Ling from the Planet of The Spirits and of Terran race."
"I'm Shi Mu from the Cerulean Sea Star."
"Ah, it turned out to be big brother Shi Mu. I am very glad to meet you!"
"Zi Ling, how old are you? Why are you here at such a young age…" Shi Mu could not help himself from asking.
"I want to come by myself. I want to join the Holy Land of Qinglan!" Zi Ling said with a serious face before Shi Mu could even finish his sentence.
"Ah, I see," Shi Mu nodded and said nothing after that.
"Is this big brother Shi Mu's first time in the secret territory?" Zi Ling asked again.
"Yes," Shi Mu snuck a little, then nodded.
"I may be young but I know a lot more than everyone else!" Zi Ling said with pride.
"Oh… Then how much do you know about the monsters that resided here?" Shi Mu arched his eyebrows and asked.
"Ah for this... I heard that the monsters here are very different from the ones we have seen. The biggest difference is that the monsters here can condense demon nucle.."
"Do you happen to know what monster is specifically?"
"It is said that this demon nuclear is actually the essence of the demon beast. Generally, it would only be innate to those of Xian Tian Level. There are many monster beasts that can be used to make alchemy. Even some high-ranked demon nuclei can be used to refine magical weapons!" Zi Ling said.
"The demon nucleus has such a big effect? ??If that's the case, wouldn't it be a kiss for the Holy Land of Qinglan to let in so many disciples to enter every ten years to kill these monsters?" Shi Mu was somewhat puzzled.
"The Holy Land of Qinglan is savvy! The Qingshan Order that they gave us is a special storage device. All the demon nuclei were gathered here would be automatically inhaled by it. In addition to the points, it is impossible to remove them. All Qingshan orders will eventually be recycled so all the demon cores obtained here will always belong to the Holy Land of Qinglan." Zi Ling laughed.
" How can I even say that the Holy Land of Qinglan is generous. HAHA! Short to say, we are just here as a bunch of freeloaders!" Shi Mu said speechlessly.
"That may not be it! There are more benefits than you can imagine by joining the Holy Land of Qinglan. Since it is a secret territory, there are many treasures that are rare in the outside world. In addition, some people enter here for other purposes such as traffickers who specialize in selling points."
"If that's the case, different monsters have different corresponding demon nuclear score. Then, what is the difference?" Shi Mu nodded thoughtfully and asked.
"Well... Specifically, the congenital level of the demon nuclear points has the least points. It's not even worth mentioning. For the Earth Grade level monster, the points will increase by a large proportion of which the initial level is one hundred integral. The Mid Grade is a thousand points and it is ten thousand for the ones in their late stage. If you can get a higher level of the celestial nucleus, you can get at least 100,000 points at a time. Sadly, it is said that no disciple who has traditionally entered the secret territory got to kill the heavenly monsters. Most of the candidates will rely on the hunting situation of the ground-level demon nucleus to distinguish the winners and losers," Zi Ling thought about it before saying so.
"I didn't expect Zi Ling who is of such a young age to know so many things. This really benefited me a lot," Shi Mu smiled slightly.
"Many of my family members have come here and this is what they told me! Big brother Shi Mu, you do not have to address me so formally. We are all of Terrain's blood. After all, we understand each other better than the others."
Shi Mu kept this information secretly in his mind. Though he had a lot of good feelings about this lovely girl who seemed to know a lot about the secret territory, everything was never as simple as it seemed.
As they conversed, some people had left.
Although Shi Mu had been talking to this little girl, he had been observing the environment the entire time while at it.
He noticed that most of those who had left were of mid-grade while some of them were of Earth Grade level. Their strength was partial among the others. As she possessed such strength and probably some secret technique, they were not even close to afraid. The most striking among them was a tall strong man with a flaming red-like skin. He was unscrupulous and radiated a great consummation of late-stage qi.
The reason why Shi Mu was impressed by it was that the upper body of the naked body was engraved with a strange and flamboyant animal pattern that looked fierce and abnormal.
There were three to five groups left. After a while, they too separated and left. Some of them were familiar with each other while some temporarily formed an alliance.
As for the rest of the people, either their strength is slightly lower than that of those middle-level disciples, or they are cautious. Anyway, they are more than a month-long, and they are not in a hurry. They are all left in place.
Shi Mu suddenly heard a noise from afar and turned around.
He saw a young blue-haired demon youth in a robe with a jade belt with three similar faces tied around his waist. He surrounded himself with a woman whom he was talking to. They seemed to be talking about something drastically important.
The blue-haired youth had a sharp horn on his head. His nose was dark and his body was under a thick cloak-like robe. He looked like every ordinary person but he was at his mid-level of cultivation.
"This lady, I. Xia Tian is infatuated... It is quite risky to talk about this secret journey. Why don't we take a walk and built a better relationship between us" the blue-haired youth said.
The blue-haired man wanted to win her over. She was a lady who liked fair skin and with blue-hair. Her face was no different from humans, maybe even more delicate than most ethnic women. Her pointed ears were hidden under her hair. She had a really delicately sharp nose with plucker small lips. She was the definition of beauty and elegance but there was a layer of frost on her face.
