The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 571 - 571 William is a Johnson!

571 William is a Johnson!

In the morning.

Ariana got ready while Sierra brought her bag. She helped her in wearing the same bag as her two ponytails making her appear cuter. It was personally done by Javier. This was specially done in order to make her look younger but still dominating. He didn’t want her to be taunted to be wiser than her age.

Noah and Ailey were already sitting there and waiting for her while Emily came out with William tagging behind her. There were drivers assigned to drive the kids to the school.

After last night’s incident, Sierra had least expected Emily to show up at this time. In her mind, she had imagined the lady taking a rest and not bringing herself to face anyone with such a huge humiliation being put on her head. ‘Guess I forgot that she is stubborn as hell. Nothing could stop her from understanding her position so easily.’ Sierra rolled her eyes but tried not to bring up the topic of last night in front of the kids.

Everyone got ready and William had already seen Ariana. She took a peek at him and then turned her face opposite to her older brother, Noah. Seeing her reaction, the young boy’s heart fell down and he lowered his head. But to his actions, Emily brushed, “William! I told you to not walk with your head down! You are a Johnson’s, how can you bow down to others?!”

“S-sorry mother,” William mumbled and this time, Emily got frustrated. She wanted to slap the boy for his rude behavior in front of her. Couldn’t he follow the few simple instructions she gave him?

However, when Emily’s eyes scanned around the surroundings, she found Ariana, Noah, and Ailey sitting and waiting for the drivers to pull the cars out. At such a sight, a sly smirk crossed her lips when she moved her hand over William’s head. Instinctively, William anticipated a slap from her but to his surprise, there were no hard feelings. His hair was caressed and this brought him confusion.

“My baby boy, you have to learn everything at school properly, do you understand? You need to study better and make sure that you score better than others. Momma will be waiting for your good result in the future.” Emily bent on her knees and planted a kiss on his cheeks, receiving wide eyes stare from her son.

William was too much taken aback by such a display of affection. Was this lady surely his mother? He even suspected such information once it was almost not possible for her to be acting so well.

.....

Yet then, he saw his mother’s sight wasn’t looking at him but somewhere else. He followed her sight to find her looking in Ariana’s direction. ‘She is trying to hurt Ari again.’ he thought.

But after this, Emily held his hand and they walked outside of the mansion. The rest of the children too followed behind and the driver brought the car out, behind the bodyguards.

Noah was the first one to go inside and Ailey followed him. By then, William also entered and Ariana was the last person to step. However, her steps came to halt when she heard Emily’s sarcastic words entering her ears, “Ariana, don’t think that you can easily fool me with your sweet words. I will convince your father that he needs to make you sleep in a different room for your growth.”

Ariana raised her eyes to meet with Emily before blurting, “Is that so? I know my dad doesn’t listen to you. So you can try your...luck, Ms. Emily.”

This tone irritated Emily. She watched Ariana entering the car and she clenched her fist. ‘Is that what Javier told her?’ How could he insult her in front of his child? Did she have no respect in his eyes?

Her glaring intensified but unknown to her, far behind her stood Sierra who had heard her words. Sierra’s lips curved to a thin line when she resided Emily’s intent and a sigh escaped her lips. “Even a young girl like Ariana knows how to handle you, such a pity,” Sierra muttered under her breath and smiled.

At the same time, on the way to the school, William had taken the initiative to talk to Ariana. They reside in the same residence and were of the same age. Yet the gap between them was wide. They were connected in a strange manner and he always tried to reduce his interaction with anyone. However, since she was the same age, he had tried to maintain a cordial relationship with her.

Yet to his disappointment, his mother always put him in a tough spot. Biting his lips, he held his identification card around his neck before tugging Ariana, “I wanted to say...”

“We will talk once we reach school.” She also mumbled in a low pitch. While William was confused, Ariana decided to not converse with him in front of Noah and Ailey. If he had something to say, they should talk privately

As she said, they got down from their car and walked to their respective classes. Since Ariana and William were of the same age, they got the opportunity to talk while walking with the rest of the children.

At this time, she looked at William, “What do you have to say?”

“I’m sorry. My mother...”

He lost count of how to comprehend his words. Even though he wasn’t the one to do and put harm her, indirectly he was indeed involved,

Lowering his head in guilt, he tried to say but no word came out from his lips. However, at the same time, Ariana said with a small smile as she said, “I know. Don’t worry. You can be fine, your mommy doesn’t like me and neither do I. I have my dad and you have your mommy. I will not say bad things about her in front of you because daddy said it isn’t good to talk about another person behind their back.”

“I will simply put this behind me and I hope you will not think about it too. You are also like my brother, even though you are my...but yes, I treat you like brother Noah, just I don’t show it because your mommy won’t like me addressing you as one.”

Her words were comforting and William smiled. At least she didn’t take him as a bad person and for the young boy, this was enough. “Okay! Then I will let you eat my lunch too. Let’s go!”
