The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 112 - Status Of Jennifer?!

Chapter 112 - Status Of Jennifer?!

Jennifer failed to keep the track of her words

Whatever landed in her brain, came straight away on the tip of her tongue.

At the time, when she realized how she addressed his family, Jennifer immediately regretted it.

She had no idea how he would react to what she just said. Will he get angry? Jennifer waited, to see the change in his expressions and to hear out some angry and furious words as always.

But to her surprise, nothing like this happened.

Moreover, he remained still and passed her a look, indicating this is how things are.

To make herself not sound in the wrong way, Jennifer added on in her speech before he could have answered, "I...I didn't mean that the wrong way. Just.. you know that your family doesn't like me either. The last time, your stepmother...was kind of rude.."

"I'm aware of the same but isn't that the truth as well that you are good at giving back the answers? Don't mind me, or get uncomfortable thinking that I will get angry with the answers you will give my family. Chill, they deserve the same if they opened their mouths to speak out about any dirt."

His words were much relaxing, easing the very kind of worry she was taking in her mind. At the same time, his radiant smile made her almost stumble, where she was on the verge of getting lost in that.

If not for the hunger she felt at the moment, Jennifer was sure that no one could stop her from staring at his face, and once again this will give him the chance to tease her openly.

"Shall we go now?" Javier asked in a polite manner and Jennifer nodded her head, as both of them made their way towards the dining table.

But at the same time, someone was keeping an eye over these two from her window.

Shirley was standing near the window and her eyes never tore from the two people who were roaming in the garden.

Before, Charles was giving her a tour but later on Javier continued. The closeness between the two was somewhat irking her from the very start.

"This lady isn't that simple. Just when she needs it, both the giant man, are developing a sweet spot for her. Whereas, here I'm living for decades yet no one baits an eye over me.."

In her own house, Shirley felt a sense of loneliness. Without Shawn, her next day was either spent either in the beautification of herself or having parties with some of her females.

The reason behind the same was simple, no one is so much interested to talk or converse, which always makes her blood boil.

A girl, who is arrived a few hours ago, has already started feeling the villa as her own home.

Yet, she has been living here for so long but no one has gathered the feeling of home or made her feel like a member of this pack.

Her bloodshot eyes were breached in anger. "Jennifer Taylor, how can I let you live a peaceful life until you reside under this residence?"

Lifting her chin, her mind was fixed on one aim, to make her prey beg her for the survival of her life. Earlier, how she responded back, wasn't suited in her accordance.

'Let me now remind you who actually is the owner and lady of this house... and how you should respect her.'

...

Javier and Jennifer made their way inside the villa and sat at the dining table where the lunch was served to them.

Her eyes glimmered when a variety of dishes were replaced in front of her, making her stomach growl more with the fragrance of the taste of food entering her nostrils.

Turning her face in Javier's direction, who was sitting beside her, she nudged his shoulders and asked, "Is your family accustomed to eating the best food of all? Like, you can make such good food and now, this all.."

A chuckle escaped through his lips when he took account of her expressions when something tastier was bought for her. 'As always, this girl can easily be impressed by good food.'

The trick is known to him, after all after spending a few days with her on the island, he became habitual to her habits, with a closer look. Although he knew somewhat of her habits and behavior already, all because of the observation he kept for the last five years.

"Well...in my family, only I can cook. Brother Charles doesn't know either. As you see, my mother used to make some delicious food for us and I adapted to her cooking skills." Realizing that he once again mentioned his late mother, Jennifer felt awkward.

'Since when we have arrived here, he has mentioned his mother so many times already. Does this villa reminds him of the first lady of the house?' Not new in her eyes because the figure of the mother can never be replaced.

A faint smile appeared on her lips when she recalled her mother, who must be in the state. Dishearted or normal and happy? Since her daughter isn't with her, does this affect her a little bit or not?

Jennifer didn't find any reply to her question and let the doubt bury deep inside her heart so that all the worry vanishes away and she can enjoy the tasty food in front of her.

Javier served here the dishes one by one, and she waited for him to complete adding. With this, he added some food into his and kept the bowl back in its place. With time, they both started eating, and Jennifer found herself using herself closing her eyes while absorbing all the other tastes..o

"Ummm...This is the best! But obviously, not as good as what you make.. but still" Comparatively, obviously Javier's skills are still unmatched in her eyes, which brought a proud smile over his face.

Just when Jenifer emerged in her absolute dine and savoring all the flavor, a harsh and shrill voice was heard, ruining her entire taste.

"Oh, so our hostage has the right to sit among us and have lunch with us, The Johnsons?! Since when is this allowed in our villa?"
