Boomboomboom!

In another domain, a silent battle was taking place. But in terms of intensity, it was far above the battle that was taking place in reality.

Wang Chong and the High Priest, two of the strongest Psychic Energy experts in the current era, were battling with their Psychic Energy throughout spacetime, their energies constantly clashing and colliding. The Psychic Energies they had sent out were like vast armies that were fighting and killing each other.

This was Psychic Energy far above the mortal domain. Even Great Generals were nothing but ants to them.

From a certain perspective, this was a battle of ‘gods’.

Wang Chong and the High Priest were gods, and those below the Subtle realm were mortals, ants. The Psychic Energies of this pair were suns suspended high in the sky while others were stars or fireflies. Simply glimpsing this battle would be enough to leave people shivering in fear.

“Your Psychic Energy is very impressive…”

The High Priest’s cold voice resounded through the dark and deserted mental world, reaching to every corner.

“Alas, you still cannot defeat me.

“I must admit that you’ve truly made me take a second look at you. The east is a land of martial arts, where the method for training and passing down Psychic Energy has long ago been lost. I did not think that it could produce as powerful a Psychic Energy practitioner as you!” the High Priest said in a booming voice.

“Hmph, there’s a lot that you could have never imagined. The east has more than just powerful Psychic Energy practitioners, and they are still capable of defeating you.”

Wang Chong’s rang out like a great gong. As he spoke, atop the White-hoofed Shadow, Wang Chong’s eyes glinted with cold light as he prepared to attack.

“Blazing Sun Domain!”

A moment later, the ‘world’ shattered. Wang Chong’s Psychic Energy swept across like a great flood and swiftly assailed the High Priest.

Wang Chong and the High Priest had been fighting all this time, but this assault was on a different level of power. Boom! An immense energy dragged the High Priest into a strange domain.

As the High Priest manifested his form in this strange domain, he looked up and saw a massive blazing sun, as large as a city. Even he could not help but grimace at this.

The High Priest was revered as a god throughout Arabia, and even Masil had shown him utmost respect, not once even thinking about rebellion. This was because Masil was keenly aware that no one in the world could stand against the High Priest.

But Masil would have never imagined that not only was there someone in the world who could fight against the High Priest, this person could also drag the High Priest’s mind out of his body and into a domain.

Anyone who learned of this fact and knew about the High Priest would be deeply stunned!

“Masil’s memories were correct. Rather than being an overestimate, his judgment of you was a heavy underestimation. Unexpectedly, you not only created the Blazing Sun art, you even learned how to create a mental domain from Masil!”

The High Priest quickly came back to his senses, looking up and sighing in praise at that blazing sun that exuded endless heat and energy, wanting to burn away everything in the world.

“You obtained Masil’s corpse?”

Wang Chong slightly frowned as he spoke.

At the Battle of Talas, Masil had been killed underground, and Wang Chong had ceased to care about his body afterward. But it now appeared that the High Priest had managed to obtain Masil’s corpse and use some special method to obtain the memories in his brain.

It was obvious that the moves and powers he had used against Masil were no longer any secret to the High Priest.

This was definitely not good news for Wang Chong!

The High Priest did not reply to this question.

“Heh, as expected of the Child of Destruction! But you don’t think that just learning the power of domains means that you can fight against me, do you?”

The High Priest softly chuckled as he flipped his palm over and lightly raised it up. The space for several thousand feet around him instantly began to fiercely ripple, and above the High Priest’s hand, another dazzling light appeared, rapidly swelling as it radiated light and heat.

The corona, sunspots, solar flares… these various traits began to appear on that ball of light, and as Wang Chong stared in shock, another sun took form, exuding endless light and heat.

“Impossible!”

Wang Chong’s heart was given a fierce shock, having never imagined that the Arabian Empire’s mysterious High Priest would be this frightening. Just by glancing at the sun Wang Chong had created, he had understood its principles and created his own.

“Masil was a fool who believed that Psychic Energy was a dark energy that could only be used to create things of shadow like the Abyssal World!”

The High Priest slowly twirled that massive sun in his hand, his eyes shining with admiration.

“But Masil had no idea that Psychic Energy can create all things, so it can naturally create the bright and radiant. The only reason Psychic Energy experts could not create the sun was because it was too far away, not because of their Psychic Energy. No one knew the exact construction of the sun or what principles it ran on. To blindly create without understanding the principles will only result in creating a glowing ball.

“Masil lacked the qualities, so telling him these things was pointless. But I didn’t think that he would meet someone like you at Talas!”

The High Priest glanced up at Wang Chong’s blazing sun.

“Truly, the Child of Destruction! There are far too many secrets within you. You even know the make-up of the sun. It is no wonder that not even the Celestial God Organization has been incapable of finding all the secrets regarding you! Unfortunately, even if you’re the Child of Destruction, in the mental domain, trying to fight me is like trying to best a fish at swimming.”

The High Priest spoke with confidence and ease, as if he was discussing the simplest of facts. In front of Wang Chong and his terrifying Psychic Energy, only the High Priest could speak with such confidence.

“Is that so?”

Wang Chong’s eyes narrowed, and then he noticed something and coldly laughed.

“Then let me see how strong you really are!”

Rumble!

With a thought from Wang Chong, the massive blazing sun began to rumble downward toward the High Priest.

Its rumbling descent made the entire world groan under this terrifying strength.

But the High Priest was unperturbed. He flicked a finger, sending his own blazing sun howling upward like a comet in reverse.

There was a heaven-shattering boom as the two suns, one large and one small, collided in the air.

Boom!

The world was momentarily devoid of sound, time itself seeming to have stopped. And then all fell into mayhem, endless heat and blinding light expanding in every direction.

For the first time on this continent, the unprecedented energies of the sun clashed against each other.

A moment later, the High Priest’s sun shattered, but Wang Chong’s sun only shrunk a little, its radiance halving. It continued to travel at the same speed toward the High Priest.

“You were too simpleminded! What does it matter if you’ve learned my Blazing Sun? In the end, you only see the surface, not the essence. How could you possibly stand against me?”

Wang Chong’s cold laughter resounded throughout the world.

The High Priest truly possessed a rare ability. The Blazing Sun art had never before appeared in the history of the continent. For many Psychic Energy practitioners, including the High Priest, it was impossible to reach this level. But with one glance, the High Priest had managed to understand the principles behind the sun and create a nearly identical sun in Wang Chong’s own mental world. It truly made one sigh in wonder.

But all comprehension had its process and its limits. No matter how talented the High Priest was, it was impossible to instantly grasp the principles behind Wang Chong’s Blazing Sun art.

While those two suns had seemed identical, they greatly differed when it came to the details. At the very least, the High Priest had not completely understood the principles by which the sun operated. The sun he had created had at most forty percent the strength of Wang Chong’s.

This was why Wang Chong had chosen without hesitation to bring down his sun.

Boom!

Wang Chong’s sun hurtled into the High Priest, bringing with it endless heat and light.

This time, the High Priest was clearly caught off guard. He stood there in a daze as the massive sun crashed into him, and then blinding light and endless waves of heat exploded across the entire mental world.

When all the light and heat faded, Wang Chong’s mental world turned into a silent world of endless darkness.
