"So this was the reason why" Yang Chen muttered before coming down to the hall. He headed for the receptionist's desk but the middle aged man who seemed to be the manager of this place, wasn't there.

"I guess I will find it myself" Determined to find the bathhouse himself, Yang Chen began wandering through the expansive inn, following his instincts. After a brief search, he stumbled upon a sign pointing to the bathhouse. "Hmm? What is this sign? Well, who cares, I want to bathe right now" Ignoring any caution, he brushed past the sign and confidently entered the male section. After which, he neatly folded his clothes in the locker room and headed in.

"Yes young miss, I have already informed the servants. Since the female bath is not working currently, they have prepared the male bath for you and have put a sign. The Young Miss can take a bath without worrying about anything"

The middle aged man spoke respectfully to the young lady dressed elegantly in front of him. She was the Young Miss of the Lin clan and the only daughter of the clan head. Hence even if it was him, he had to be respectful around her.

As Yang Chen was sitting in one corner of the bath and due to the rising steam he couldn't see the figure properly but their appearance soiled his mood a little. He enjoying the tranquillity he was having to himself but somebody had to come and break his peace.

Nevertheless, the bath was big enough so even if one more person entered, it didn't matter much. Also, he wasn't the owner of this place, so he couldn't have it all to himself. Thinking that to himself, Yang Chen calmed his mind and went back to enjoying his bath.

Or so he thought; however, his plan was destroyed when he noticed the other person coming towards his area. Did they not notice him? Yang Chen didn't want some random dude to encroach on his personal space, and so he called out to them.

"Hey you, do you mind bathing a little away?".

"EHH?!" the other voice acted all surprised and for some reason very... feminine.

As the mist caressed their skin, a soft halo of light played upon their features, casting an ethereal glow that accentuated her natural beauty. Skin as white as porcelain, a smooth delicate body with supple curves and gracefully veiled by a translucent robe, appeared in sight.

The figure in front of him had a slim waist, a shapely body and developing curves. The gentle slope of her shoulders, the graceful arc of her neck, and the subtle curvature of her waist created a portrait of elegance and femininity.

"This…" As he beheld the figure like carving every sight in front of him in his memories, Yang Chen came to a realisation and so did the other party too. No matter how much she tried to cover her body with that small towel, there was no mistaking the other party was a... Girl.

What was she doing here? Confusion swept over him as he realized that something was amiss. Did he accidentally enter the female bathhouse? No, he was certain he had checked before entering. He was not in wrong here? But the girl's presence here seemed to indicate otherwise.

Panic welled up within him as he contemplated the implications of this unforeseen encounter.

Who was going to explain this to the girl who staring at him with wide open eyes as if she had seen a ghost? Her eyes that were looking at Yang Chen's face, turned towards his body and a red flush immediately engulfed her face.

Before he could explain himself or process the situation fully, the girl, her face ablaze with embarrassment, hastily clutched her towel, turned, and fled while letting out a startled scream.

Yang Chen could probably tell that the entire inn was alerted by that scream by now. They would hurriedly run towards the bathhouse and at that time he would definitely be unable to avoid this mess.

He just wanted to enjoy a relaxing bath, so how did things escalate this way?

Although he would be lying if he said he didn't like the scene he just saw, it would be annoying if he got caught by the servants and get branded something he wasn't. And so he came to a decision, running away from imminent trouble was his only option.
