The time was in the middle of the night, the forest was shrouded with darkness. The moonlight that seeped through the thick foliage of the trees, only illuminated a small area.

"Speak, who killed young master Zhang Wei" Zhang Zhan spoke sternly. He needed to find the killer as soon as possible or else there would be no place for him in the Zhang clan.

"I-It was a brat. He killed all nine of your clan members" When Li Hao saw that the eyes of this elder darkened, he panicked and blurted out everything that he knew.

"I-I-I'm not lying. Young Master was pursuing this brat. He was extremely cunning. He tricked all the people that the young master brought into thinking that he was weak only to make them lower their guard at the last second so he could kill them in one fell swoop".

"Y-Young Master was caught off guard too or else he would have been able to kill that brat".

Zhang Zhan silently listened to everything that Li Hao had to say, all the while his eyes stared unblinkingly at the latter.

Only after ascertaining that this hunter wasn't lying did he shift his eyes in contemplation.

"How do you know all this?" Zhang Zhan posed another question.

"I-I...It's because that brat had killed my team too. I survived getting slaughtered somehow and stumbled upon young master Zhang Wei who was coincidentally alos pursuing that brat. I thought we could kill him given our numbers; however, that brat turned out to be far more cunning".

Li Hao replied honestly, he dared not take chances with his life.

"Heh, you say that young master Zhang Wei's whole group was killed yet here you are all alive and fine in front of me? Not only that, you say that your team was also massacred by the same brat yet you were the only one to survive both the times?"

As Zhang Zhan mentioned that, there was a weird glint in his eyes with which he observed the man.

"T-that was because... I was knocked unconscious. Yes, that brat must have thought I had died"
