‘Did they really discover God Qi from the Hidden Fragmented Realm and become Quasi Heavenly Palace Realm existences? Wasn’t it not due to constant cultivation and them gaining insights over time? Then what about that Li Shu? The Hidden Fragmented Realm had not opened but he became a Quasi Heavenly Palace Realm existence, even managing to form a clone that cultivated back up to the Late Soul Transformation Realm.’
Patriarch Evernight's heart was gloomy while he was in his own thoughts. Ghuanyu meanwhile had become strangely silent.
Answering Patriarch Evernight’s question, Monarch Gu shook his head and said.
“Our Fire Empire had only recently discovered the information I just told you two, so we are not a hundred percent certain that God Qi is inside, we are only seventy percent sure. The information also said that the Ancient Clans weren’t able to open the Divine Beasts Legacies inside the Hidden Fragmented Realm. There is a high possibility these Divine Beast Legacies might contain God Qi.”
Hearing up to here, both Ghuanyu and Patriarch Evernight finally understood the Fire Empire’s plans. This also meant they probably had a way to enter the Divine Beast Legacies.
“You two probably guessed my Fire Empire's plans. Not many people in our Empire know about the information I told you, or of our plans to excavate the God Qi. Even though the Divine Beast Legacies are valuable, when it comes to gaining God Qi the resources inside are inconsequential, so it would be left to your powers. But be at ease, after my Fire Empire has gained the God Qi we will not forget about the Ming Clan and the Demonic Cult. Hm, that is all for this meeting.”
After saying that, Monarch Gu went to end the transmission.
Ghuanyu and Patriarch Evernight stood up to cup their fists. Only they know of the thoughts currently running through their heads.
Give them a share?
Would such a power that saw them as nothing more than ants be willing to share something that could produce a Quasi or possibly a full Heavenly Palace Realm existence with them? Even if they did, would it be much?
It was now they knew that the Li Clan had a way to extract God Qi from the Hidden Fragmented Realm when it appeared.
No wonder their past Emperors were so strong to keep the throne. Perhaps it was because their Ancestor was the first one to discover this place, and he put some measures in place to secretly get God Qi when the Hidden Fragmented Realm appears.
But that being said, the Profound Sword Sect ruled by the Lu Clan has the Ying Yang Ancient bloodline and also produced Quasi Heavenly Palace Realm existences before.
The Fire Empire and the Water Empire on the Fire Bound and Water Bound Continent were both behemoths that have produced double or even triple the amount of Quasi Heavenly Palace Realm existences in the past. With some even staying back instead of venturing out to seek out a way to break through fully.
That meant everyone except for them had different methods to produce Quasi Heavenly Palace Realm existences of their own.
The Fire Empire was just being greedy and having found out the Li Clan’s method, they wanted to quickly monopolize it before anyone, especially the Water Empire who were the only power on par with them in strength, could find out.
As for the powers on the Star Bound and Maple Continent, the Fire Empire didn’t even place them in their eyes.
“Oh!”
Before Monarch Gu could leave, he suddenly remembered something. Turning to Patriarch Evernight he said.
“I heard of a disciple from one of your branch sect’s in the Demonic Cult has a mutated Yang Essence Foundation. I am interested in him becoming my disciple and cultivating our Fire God Clan's Ancient Bloodline techniques, so take care of him until I reach the Maple Continent.”
Patriarch Evernight was feeling shocked in his heart as to why Monarch Gu know of such a person, and why he would take interest in that disciple enough to take him in as his own disciple.
The status of Monarch Gu in the Fire Empire was only third to two others, and he was said to have already become a Quasi Heavenly Palace Realm existence several millennia ago. If not for the God Qi, he wouldn't have come out of seclusion much less suddenly found an interest in a disciple.
However, didn’t this mean the Fire Empire already had people here on the Continent watching them? Was he using his words just now to warn them?
Despite these thoughts, Patriarch Evernight remain calm as he bowed his head and responded.
“Yes, Monarch Gu.”
Monarch Gu nodded with a smile, before the runic symbols on the chair faded away along with him.
“Terrifying, absolutely terrifying. No wonder they weren’t worried my Demonic Cult or your Ming Clan would go against them. As for why he chose us to cooperate with the Fire Empire, that Monarch Gu probably lied about just discovering that information. Perhaps they had known for a while, and had sent people here to observe the two continents' situations as well as to find out which powers to take advantage of.”
As Patriarch Evernight openly said that, he turned to Ghuanyu who was in deep thought.
For Patriarch Evernight to reveal his thoughts on this matter so openly, it could be seen he wanted to form an alliance with the Ming Clan separate from the Fire Empire.
After a moment Ghuanyu said.
“We might not even be the only ones the Fire Empire has approached with this alliance. Some Sects on the Star Bound Continent might have been coerced as we have just been.”
Patriarch Evernight smiled upon hearing Ghuanyu's words.
Who were these two?
They were leaders of two of the major powers on the Maple Continent that have been in power for hundreds of years, Ghuanyu thousands. Schemes are abundant in the cultivation world, but their schemes ran deep and their wisdom even more so.
Without even explicitly saying it, both parties just agreed to form an alliance. If a random person was here, they would have thought Patriarch Evernight had casually spoken those words, and Ghuanyu simply added his own thoughts.
Only true schemers who knew more than the average person would know their real intentions.
“Your information network is fast, but it is only surface level. My Dark Moon Guild's information network is more in-depth.”
Patriarch Evernight suddenly said cryptically.
Ghuanyu upon hearing his words didn’t hesitate to throw out a jade slip, in which Patriarch Evernight caught before throwing out his own.
“Haha, brother Ghuanyu, let’s work hard to fulfill the Fire Empire’s goals. With your revolutionary cultivation method, a few promising bunch has appeared in our Cult that could take the top one hundred spots, the more the better.”
With those final words, Patriarch Evernight’s suddenly figure vanished from the room. That was despite the runic symbols still flashing on the walls.
Ghuanyu’s face twitched at that, but it quickly went back to a neutral expression.
A few more hidden exchanges had occurred with the last by Patriarch Evernight leaving the chambers abruptly. These runes were anything but simple. Even for Ghuanyu, it would take a while to be able to teleport out, but Patriarch Evernight did it in an instant.
“Even a Quasi Heavenly Palace Realm existence would be baffled by his escape methods. If not then Lu Xue Wen, his former Master would have killed him long ago. I have to be careful of that fellow in the future.”
Ghuanyu mumbled this to himself, as he got up and left the stone room through a door that suddenly appeared.
However, it was strange. Although he said that, he didn’t seem perturbed that Patriarch Evernight or Monarch Gu had their own agendas. It's almost as if he didn’t put their schemes in his eyes.
