Chapter 872: Gloomy Lily!

As the Lizee burned its blood, the entire arena turned so hot that even the air began to boil.

The numerous injuries caused by the air seemed to disappear at that moment as the sky rumbled, its falling speed growing severalfold.

Aakesh could see the creature shriveling due to the loss of blood, but not for long, as he heard a crack.

When Aakesh looked up, he saw the giant saber cracking from its tip. They kept crumbling under the weight of the ground and the sky, and the pressure on them grew, increasing the crumbling speed.

The Lizee had shrunk to one-fourth of its total size, while the black fur spread across its body had turned gray. But Lizee didn't seem to care about that. Its eyes contained bloodlust and excitement as it charged toward Aakesh.

It seemed to throw everything it had into the punch, aimed at Aakesh's head.

Aakesh, already bearing the brunt of the sky and the ground, tried to defend himself, but he failed.

The Lizee's punch hit Aakesh, exploding his upper body into a blood cloud. It was an instant death as when Aakesh opened his eyes, he found himself on the exit portal.

Aakesh stepped out of the portal and didn't find Lily waiting there for him. After calculating the time, Aakesh found that there were still several minutes left before Lily's training came to an end, so he decided to enter another training area and sharpen his saber skills.

Time flew by, and several minutes passed in the blink of an eye. As Aakesh came out of the training arena, he sighted Lily waiting there for him.

A gentle smile spread across Aakesh's face as he went to his chair and sat down.

"Why were you gloomy?" Aakesh asked as he sat down. He had seen Lily being gloomy when she came out of the room.

Lily didn't hide anything from Aakesh and told him everything. The betrayal of one of her subordinates didn't end with one man.

Today, she had found that several of her best soldiers had also betrayed her. It wasn't the end, the first friends made by Lily other than Aakesh were the wolf cubs.

Even though their talent was average, Lily had spent too much on them since they were her friends. She didn't want to see a time when only she would be left, and the wolves would be dead of old age.

The squadron that betrayed Lily was headed by one such wolf follower. The soldier's betrayal cost Lily her friend, who lost its life trying to fight the soldiers.

When Aakesh heard Lily, he could only sigh with frustration. Aakesh had told Lily about the wolf cubs not being able to match her talent and that someday she would have to give up on them. It would be better for both her and the wolves.

She had started with five wolf cubs, and now only one was left in her care. Two of them died of old age; one died in battle, and the fourth one died today trying to fight the soldiers.

Lily's voice almost broke down when she talked about the death of the wolf.

Aakesh didn't disturb Lily and let her vent herself.

"Aakesh, what should I do?" Lily suddenly looked at Aakesh and asked.

In normal times, Aakesh would have refused to interfere with Lily's actions but today, Aakesh couldn't bring himself to say no to Lily.

"Do you want revenge, or do you want the stability of your territory?" After a sigh, Aakesh asked Lily.

"Revenge!" Lily didn't even take a moment to respond. The death of the wolf had broken her mental strength. Now, she couldn't bring herself to care for the territory. She wanted revenge; she wanted to vent her anger; the five wolves were both her friends and followers. They were only second to Aakesh in her heart.

It didn't matter to Lily whether they were a part of a virtual world or not. What mattered to her was that she loved them like her siblings.

After hearing Lily's response, Aakesh smiled since he had expected such an answer from her.

"Fine, I will help you once," Aakesh told Lily.

Before Lily could celebrate, Aakesh added his condition, "I will help you, but after this, you can't ask me for revenge. You have to take responsibility for your actions. Second, your training time would increase by ten minutes after tomorrow."

Lily nodded, as she was willing to accept any condition put forth by Aakesh if he helped her kill those who took the wolf away from her. Lily would only come to regret accepting Aakesh's second condition in the future.

"In three months, I will be able to reach your territory. Wait until then," Aakesh told Lily. He decided this time to personally intervene since the mental blow taken by Lily after the wolf's death had angered him as well.

Lily could only nod, as Aakesh wasn't omnipotent in Panagea. The system was, but it wouldn't interfere with the lives of its inhabitants unless Aakesh paid a great price.

Lily knew that if it were for her, Aakesh would be willing to pay any price to the system, but she didn't want him to do that.

The duo then discussed a few more things, and soon their traditional discussion came to an end.

The next moment, Lily and Aakesh disappeared from the selection area and appeared in the store's hall.

Lily then summoned the doors to the room and left for Panagea.

After Lily left, Aakesh's face turned cold as he turned around and proceeded toward the portal room.

Now that he had promised Lily that he would help her, Aakesh needed to reach Lily's territory in three months.

After appearing in Panagea, Aakesh decided to travel to the nearest city. He had Lily's territory coordinates, so he needed a map.

Time flew by, and several hours passed in the blink of an eye.

Aakesh couldn't get the complete map, so he only bought the one that could take him the closest to Lily's territory coordinates.

Aakesh didn't just travel, he also killed and leveled up during his travel.

When around eight hours were left before sunrise, Aakesh reappeared in the store's hall for his meditation session.
