Chapter 864: The Quest(1)

Aakesh waved his hands, and the quest screen disappeared, waiting for Aakesh to call it back.

Time continued to fly, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.

Ricky's six hours in Panagea were up, so the system forced him out.

Ricky had a crying face as he turned around and looked at the virtual portal. The beating he had received in Panagea from the group of children was still fresh in his memory.

What was more aggravating was that the group of children could only be considered newborns,  and they played him like he would play a newborn.

After returning to the real world, his original strength returned. Since he couldn't beat them in Panagea, he took solace in the fact that it wasn't his authentic strength.

"I will show hell to those bastards tomorrow," Ricky vowed with gritted teeth as he remembered that tomorrow was the last day for the quest. His ability to use energy depended on the result, so he couldn't be complacent.

'I will go train in the time chamber,' Ricky thought, as it was the only way for him to train his strength in several hours.

The time chamber was a chamber where time could be manipulated for training. It belonged to a top organization that had branches spread across the entire Sacred dimension. It was very famous and expensive.

Because there weren't enough people with the fortune to cover the organization's costs, the time chamber in Thorr City was only rudimentary. Five times the original time was the maximum that Thorr City's time manipulation could reach. And even that cost an outrageous amount in Sacred stones.

Another thing was missing from the time chamber in Thorr city; the cultivators could only train physically in the chamber.

At the same time, the time spent in the chamber was equal to going through that time, so the body would have aged. But since the people in the Sacred dimension were Immortal, they didn't have to care about them reaching their lifespan. They only needed enough money to train for as long as they desired.

Ricky needed to train his physical skills since he couldn't use any energy in Panagea. Training in the time chamber was Ricky's best bet to ensure his success in the quest.

Since Ricky had made his decision, he didn't waste any time and exited the portal room. After coming out, he came face to face with Jemiah.

Ricky nodded to greet Jemiah. Jemiah repeated the same gesture. Jemiah wanted to stop Ricky and ask him about Panagea, but Ricky left in a hurry even before Jemiah could speak.

Jemiah could feel that there was something wrong with Ricky, as his aura seemed to be turbulent. His curiosity over Panagea became even more intense. He then turned around to talk to the general about it when he found nothing but empty air in that place.

Jemiah smiled wryly as the general had already left for Panagea.

More time flew by as six hours passed for the two generals inside Panagea. Even though they entered at the same time, the duo decided to go their own ways in Panagea.

Since both of them had entered at the same time, the system forced them to exit simultaneously as well.

As the two generals appeared in the portal room, they looked at each other. A wondrous expression had adorned their faces, but since none of them wanted to say anything about their quest, they didn't say anything and left the portal room.

As Jemiah saw two generals coming out of the door one after another, he decided to ask them about the Panagea, but similar to Ricky: they seemed to be in a hurry as they left after greeting Jemiah.

Jemiah didn't stand there on ceremony after he was left alone, but he proceeded toward the portal room since it was finally his turn.

After Jemiah entered the portal room, Aakesh became the only soul to be present in the store's hall. He continued relaxing with closed eyes.

Around an hour had passed in the blink of an eye when Aakesh opened his eyes after sensing the sound of footsteps.

As he looked at the door, he found the last general out of the six standing at the door.

Frederick frowned as he got a familiar feeling when he stood at the store's entrance. He remembered how he had knocked several times in a row when this building had appeared out of nowhere in the land he liked.

Now he got the same feeling, as he neither saw anything nor did he hear any voice coming from outside. But since Frederick wasn't as daring as Jemiah, he didn't dare have his senses enter; he instead stepped inside.

Frederick's eyes caught Aakesh's eyes looking at him with an indifferent expression. Frederick moved his eyes immediately and proceeded in the direction of the chair.

After learning about Panagea, Frederick couldn't stop himself as he paid thirty-five lesser Sacred stones to Aakesh and entered Panagea. Unlike the other generals, Frederick's luck was better as he didn't have to wait for hours and he got his turn immediately.

"Two more to go," Aakesh mumbled after Frederick entered Panagea.

While Aakesh was waiting for two more customers to arrive in his store, a strange scene was happening in one corner of Thorr city.

Seventh street was the most prosperous street in Thorr city. It also held the popular time chamber.

In front of the building, two people stumbled across each other and both of them looked as shell-shocked as the other.

"Why are you here?"

'Damn it, why did he have to come right now?'

The man asked while at the same time he thought in his heart.

The second man in question had the same reaction. These two were none other than the two generals that left the store around an hour ago.

Before completing a quest, adventurers wouldn't be able to manipulate energy, so they wouldn't be able to use skills. Since things were like this, they would need to depend on physical combat methods if they wanted to complete quests.

Those who had a bit of money and were knowledgeable would think of a time chamber to learn some physical combat methods.

The two generals then began to share their ordeal of what they had gone through in Panagea in just six hours.

Both of them seemed to become great friends as they shared their bruises. The duo then went their separate ways after talking some more.

The generals were going to be here for eternity, but the quest wasn't. It had a deadline, and neither of them wanted to fail their first mission.

The sun's setting signaled the end of the day and the start of the night. And with it, a store closed its doors.
