Chapter 773: Strictness!

After all the attendees left, only ten or so people were left in the store’s hall.

The inside space had returned to normal, while all the chairs, screens, and the platform had disappeared.

“Lily, say hi to the new store’s assistant,” Aakesh smilingly called Lily.

The next moment, a shadow jumped out of Aakesh’s head. When it landed on the ground, its height was only one cm below Aakesh.

“So, you’re the store’s assistant,” Lily spoke in her childlike voice.

Every store customer knew Lily since she would appear an hour before the store’s closing time every day.

Jonnah and his family members respectfully greeted Lily. They had even more respect for Lily than Aakesh.

The beasts respected the bloodline. The level of Aakesh’s bloodline was most certainly higher than Lily’s, but the beast could sense nothing from Aakesh. The same wasn’t the case for Lily.

The Epochal Feline was also once an overlord of the Beast race. They were also the primogenitors for many feline beast races, so other beasts could sense the tremble from their bloodlines only by standing in front of Lily.

If Lily wanted, only the presssure of her bloodline was enough to crush Jonnah and his family member to dust.

Lily liked the hint of fear and respect in Jonnah and his family member’s eyes. But since Jonnah was becoming a part of the store, she took back any bloodline pressure affecting the group.

In Jonnah’s family, there were three children who only came to her knee. Lily ignored other family members and began playing with them since she liked children the most.

“Winning the competition has allowed you to have the position of the assistant. But the post isn’t permanent. Anything you do that’s outside the bounds of rules set by the store, you would need to leave the post,” The smile on Aakesh’s face disappeared as he expressionlessly told Jonnah.

“The store has no affiliation with any race or being. For the store, each and every customer is equal. Now that you have become a part of the store’s workforce, the only relationship you’ll have with the beasts is that your ancestors are from that group.”

“You can’t show your biases toward people who had hatred for you or the beast races.”

“You can’t use the title of store’s assistant for personal use or vendetta.”

“Any enmity you have with anyone, you need to forget it. You represent the store from now on, not your family or the Paltry Bear race.”

“Remember these rules. There are no chances here. You fail once, and you’re out,” Aakesh expressionlessly told Jonnah.

Being the store’s assistant was an honorable job, but the freedom provided by the store would make even the strictest of work look liberal.

Only slaves had less control over them than the store assistants over their lives.

“I understand,” Jonnah responded. He then looked toward his family members, who were looking at him with concerned eyes.

They also heard the conditions put by the store owner, and from the tone, it was clear that there would be no bargaining here. It was either working as the store’s way or not working at all.

“Store owner-“

“You don’t need to call me store owner from now on. Either call me Aakesh or senior,” Jonnah wanted to ask something, but Aakesh cut his sentence off midway and stated.

“Senior, I wanted to ask you about the enmity rule. I will forget my enmities, but what about my enemies?” Jonnah asked, as having enemies in the beast race was common. The killing was so prevalent that only rarely did no beast have an enemy.

“You need to mind the conditions. The store is responsible for you and your immediate family member’s protection as one of the benefits of your post,” Aakesh answered.

“Are all of these your immediate family members?” Aakesh then asked as he took a look at the ten or so Paltry Bears currently inside the store.

“Yes,” Jonnah replied straight away. Immediate family members included parents, blood siblings, wives, and children.

Jonnah had no siblings, as his father got killed early. There were thirteen members in his family, including him. One was his mother, one was his wife, while the other ten were his children, with the oldest being a few decades old and the youngest only three years old.

Aakesh nodded and snapped his fingers. The next moment, a golden light covered every Paltry Bear in the store.

Lily, who was playing with the three children, couldn’t help but turn angrily at Aakesh since the sudden emergence of golden light interrupted her and the children.

Aakesh only smiled and didn’t say anything.

In no time, the golden light became a part of the skin of the Paltry Bear.

“Any attack below or equal to peak Immortal wouldn’t be able to harm you and your family members now,” Aakesh announced as the process came to an end.

The next moment, twelve cards appeared in Aakesh’s hands. The cards were blood red in color, and only from looking at them, Jonnah felt his soul getting crushed.

Not long after, the cards disappeared from Aakesh’s hands and appeared near the Paltry Bears, excluding Jonnah.

One of Jonnah’s young children wanted to catch the card, but before it could, the card turned into liquid and melted into its skin.

The process repeated itself for every bear in the store.

“It is a three-time use card. No one below the Void beasts in the Primal dimension would be able to survive it once you release it,” Aakesh announced.

“You and your family members can’t use this protection to harm others. You would have to take responsibility if anything untoward happens,” Without waiting for the bears to fully digest this information, Aakesh warned Jonnah.

Three attacks that could kill anyone below Void beasts were truly generous and overpowered stuff. If Aakesh were to sell even a one-time use card, he would make more than a few billion supreme Primal stones.

“Let’s sign the contract,” Aakesh added without giving any time to Jonnah to respond. Since the deal was final, there was no point in wasting any time.

The next moment, the space inside the store began cracking only to stop after it took the form of a portal, and a silver piece came out of it.
