Chapter 631: Wyatt, A regular Customer(2)
Reading that the Art of Longevity could help Wyatt increase his lifespan, he fell into confusion about whether he should buy it or not.
The art cost five hundred top Primal stones, so it wasn’t cheap for Wyatt to splurge on it.
Wyatt then suddenly remembered the preview option the store owner had told about, but he had forgotten it in the excitement of learning about the cultivation art. Wyatt had no idea that it was he who remembered it on his own, but it was also done by the store owner just like the memory of the type of the grades of cultivation arts.
Wyatt could only buy a Rare-grade cultivation art, so to preview its detail without having to buy it, he needed to pay five percent of its total amount. If he bought the art in the end, he would only need to pay the remaining ninety-five percent, but if he bought another one, that five percent would belong to the store.
The Art of Longevity cost five hundred top Primal stones, so even 5% of it wasn’t any insignificant sum as it came to twenty-five top Primal stones.
But since wasting twenty-five Primal stones was better than wasting five hundred stones, Wyatt decided to use the preview option.
Since Wyatt owned a card, the system deducted twenty-five top Primal stones from it after Wyatt gave his permission.
The next moment, the screen showing the outside details of the cultivation art expanded, and soon, it turned into a virtual book.
Wyatt opened the first page of the book, and what greeted him was the title in golden fonts.
Wyatt then turned the page over to the next one.
On the second page, there was a human body painting. It showed how the Qi flew to the body.
Wyatt couldn’t help but smile wryly as he found his knowledge lacking again. He already knew about the way Qi flew into the human body, but after seeing the diagram, Wyatt found how many things he had gotten wrong.
‘Maybe that’s why I am only an early Soul Formation,’ Wyatt couldn’t help but think in his heart as for someone of his lifespan and background, reaching only early Soul Formation was nothing but an insult.
Wyatt then refocused on the book since there was no point in disparaging himself and wasting time rather than focusing on what was in front.
After reading the diagram three times, Wyatt turned the page over to the next one.
Before opening the book, Wyatt had thought that the store would do its magic and he would get the information about the cultivation art in his head just like the memory of the grades. But after opening the book, Wyatt found his thoughts to be incorrect.
No memory of the art got implanted into his body, but he had to read the details line by line, word by word, and figure by figure.
Despite reading the Qi-flow diagram three times, Wyatt had forgotten many things about it. But since there was no point in wasting time learning every detail of the figure when the customers would forget everything about the art if they didn’t buy it.
The third page had some information about the usual lifespan of the cultivators. The fourth page finally showed how to cultivate, and what stages it had.
Time flew by.
Wyatt finally reached the last page of the virtual book. Unlike other pages of the book, it was blank.
Wyatt then closed the book and his eyes. He then remembered the basic information he had learned about the art. The virtual book in his hands disappeared since its work was done.
A few seconds later, Wyatt opened his eyes and took a deep breath. He had made his decision about the art.
A look of struggle appeared in his eyes as he extended his hands to the shelf to take out another cultivation art.
Taking out another cultivation art didn’t mean that the preview spending would be termed null. In the end, if Wyatt decided to buy the Art of Longevity, he would still only need to pay ninety-five percent of the total cost of the art.
The reason for the struggle was Wyatt making up his mind not to buy the cultivation art. As its name suggested if Wyatt cultivated it as the book told, he would live at least several years more than the cultivator of his level. But unfortunately for Wyatt, except for increasing the lifespan, the art’s other abilities were mediocre at best.
Living longer was a dream for any person, but at the same time, being mediocre while living long was nothing but pathetic and didn’t suit cultivators who fought with the laws of the Multiverse to grow strong.
Time flew by.
After reading the outside details of a few more cultivation arts, Wyatt finally came across a second art where he wanted to use the preview option.
[Name- The Art of Five Elements,
Grade- Rare grade,
Type: Qi-cultivation system,
Details: In the Art of Five Elements, the cultivator uses Qi of the primary five elements to increase his cultivation. At the same level of cultivation, the cultivator with the Art of Five Elements can trump others,
Users: Soul Formation, Nascent Soul.
Price: one superior and five hundred top Primal stones.]
Wyatt couldn’t help but flinch for a second before going through the option of previewing the cultivation art after reading its price. Since he needed to pay 5% of the cost of the art for the Art of Five Elements, Wyatt had to spend five hundred and twenty-five top Primal stones, which was already over the price of the Art of Longevity.
‘Let’s do this. So what if I lose this many stones in pursuit of finding a better cultivation art,’ Wyatt motivated himself in his heart. Unfortunately for Wyatt, the motivation only stayed in his heart.
Wyatt couldn’t help but grit his teeth as forcing himself to pay the preview amount proved to be a tougher task than cultivating. In the end, logic dictated everything, and Wyatt decided to go ahead with the purchase.
Wyatt had two reasons for it. First, the more expensive the product, the more beneficial it was for the customer. Second, wasting 525 top Primal stones was better than wasting one superior and five hundred top Primal stones(10,500 top Primal stones).
