Chapter 342 – Surprise
Chapter 342: Surprise
"Isn't this what I need most?" Carla thought after learning about Panagea.
Her father, the Emperor, a peak Heavenly Monarch, had died. Her mother was dead. She wasn't even sure about the safety of her siblings, let alone the revival of the Empire.
The enemies would surely want to see her head not to live in fear of the revival of the Empire. If she wanted to survive the onslaught of one of the top organizations of the Primal dimension, she needed to hide and bide her time, and at the same time, she needed to grow stronger enough to have the capability to take revenge.
But Carla knew both things weren't possible at the same time. How can she grow stronger if she hid for survival?
So Panagea, a different world out of the jurisdiction of the organizations of the Primal dimension, allowed creatures to grow stronger with the ability of unlimited revivals and take out the gains in the real world, proved to be an excellent opportunity for her. There she can grow without the fear of anybody, and if everything works out, she may even have her revenge.
The only thing she lacked for now was time. She was a late Tao Manifestation level cultivator, which meant she had a lifespan of several millions of years, and she was only 26 this year.
(A/N: I have defined her 16 last chapter. It was a mistake, and I've already edited it.)
If not for spending the last six years in the space storm, she would've at least reached the Tao Palace, but she still had a lot of time left to regain that lost time.
The only thing she needed to worry about was money. She only had a limited amount of Primal stones and a few treasures left in her space ring. Now that there wasn't an Empire behind her to fulfill all her demands, she needed to earn.
"How much does it cost for the Panagea?" Carla asked the duo, who were looking fearfully at her.
The reason behind the fear for the duo was that when they had begun introducing Panagea to the stranger, they had noticed that their bodies had lost their control and couldn't do anything except talk.
"Sen…senior, 50 inferior Primal stones as the entry fee, and 25 inferior Primal stones per hour, with a maximum stay of six hours per day," The woman answered with a slight tremble in her voice due to fear.
"Huh!" Carla couldn't contain her surprise and exclaimed.
"Are you joking with me?" The next moment, Carla's voice turned chilly as she asked the duo.
"Sen…senior, I…I didn't lie to you. It's the price," The woman tremblingly answered as she found herself standing in front of a beast that was ready to pounce on her.
"Ye…yes, senior, it's the rea…real price," The friend also responded, adding to her friend. If not for their bound movements, they would've nodded their heads like a pecking chicken.
Carla, seeing the look of fear into the eyes of the duo, removed her suspicion and believed in what they told her. The next moment, a joyful expression appeared on her face hiding behind the cloak, as the only worry she had after learning about Panagea was money.
But now that she had learned the price of entering Panagea and the stay per hour, she couldn't help but get excited. Even though she didn't have the wealth she had when her parents were alive, and the Empire still existed, Carla still had around a million supreme Primal stones in her space ring, excluding the value of the treasures, materials, and medicines she had.
Even a single supreme Primal stone was enough for her to stay continuously for years in Panagea, even if the store had the worst conversion rate. With this, her worry about lack of money disappeared from her heart, unaware of the existence of the money-sucking training area.
"What do you know about the store and the store owner?" Carla then asked the duo.
"Senior, a few weeks earlier, the store suddenly appeared on a controversial land, and soon the first conflict began…," The woman told every story and rumor she had heard about the store and the store owner. The friend also added something the woman had missed so that the stranger wouldn't get angry.
"Good," Carla commented after she had learned everything known about the store and the store owner in the public domain.
At that moment, the duo also found them getting free from the bind. They could finally move.
The first thing they did after getting free was to look at each other. A relieved expression could be seen in both of their eyes.
Since Carla wasn't a terrible person, she didn't get the information for free. She took out two pills from her space ring and handed them to the duo.
"This is a supreme unaging pill. If you two were to eat this, for now, your body will stop aging and stay the same until the day you exhausted your lifespan," Carla introduced the pill.
A look of shock and surprise appeared in the eyes of the duo as they looked at each other and the stranger covered in the cloak.
They didn't even know what to feel shocked about, the supreme level of the pill, or the ability of it to stop them from aging.
"Senior, we can't take this. It's too big of a gift to give us," The woman, gritting her teeth with a struggling expression, told the stranger as he attempted to hand the pill back to them.
The friend wanted to say something, but after a second, she also followed her friend and tried to return the pill.
"You don't need to worry about it. These are the most basic and cheapest pills I have, so you can peacefully take it," Carla told the duo as she backed her hands away, while a smile had spread across her face, seeing the honesty of the duo.
The duo didn't know what to say after hearing the stranger. Suddenly, they found themselves out of control. Their hands moved on their own and fed the pill to their mouths.
Before the duo could even understand, cold energy spread across their body. As soon as it appeared, it disappeared too.
The duo's skin turned even more, whiter, smoother, and softer due to the pill. Even the tiny wrinkles they had across them had disappeared since the pill belonged to the supreme level.. The pieces of dead skin had fallen, and newborn skin had taken its place.
