Chapter 207: The War(2)

Time flew by, and around an hour had passed since the quest began, and forty minutes had passed since Aakesh joined the battlefield.

With swords in both hands, Aakesh had killed more than hundreds of beastmen in this time.

He had already reached the inner area where the number of beastmen soldiers exceeded the number of human soldiers, but right now, he was returning to the outer circle as the ten candidates he had picked had finally joined the battlefield.

Since the candidates had joined, he needed to ensure their safety. He had also gotten the information that 90,000 strong beastmen army was approaching them and would clash with them in the next thirty minutes.

No matter how many fighting techniques Aakesh knew, he currently only had the power of an ordinary mortal and would only be able to contain twenty-thirty soldiers at the same time.

The town of Bristol had a population of 170,000, but only 40% of the population was able to give a fight, and the other 60% included disabled, old, and children.

In the battle against the Roszke, the town had already lost around seven thousand soldiers. They currently had fifty-five thousand uninjured men, while more than ten thousand soldiers were injured, and six thousand soldiers had severe injuries.

If the town added the other 60% to this fold, they would overwhelm the beastmen army with numbers. But that wasn't possible. Beastmen like Lionmen, Tigermen, Boarmen were inherently stronger than humans and could take multiple of humans at the same time on their own.

Aakesh knew this, so he decided to clear the outer area of the battlefield so that the ten candidates easily survive in the starting phases. He would then enter the army of beastmen that is approaching the battlefield and would take on the fight with the leaders.

As he had decided, after returning to the outer area, he started cleaning the battlefield.

With each hand carrying a sword, he created a massacre of the beastmen. It didn't matter what type of beastmen his opponent was. Each swing of his sword took a life.

The humans could only look at the scene with awe. The setting of him massacring the beastmen looked as if it was a scene of a beautiful painting.

Aakesh didn't care what the human soldiers thought of him. He continued his massacre.

In only twenty minutes, he had killed more than two hundred beastmen of various types and almost cleared the outer area.

Aakesh knew the army was only ten minutes away from the battlefield, so he gestured the human soldiers to kill the remaining beastmen and rushed in the direction of the beastmen army.

"Do you know who that man was?" One of the male candidates Aakesh had picked asked his friend.

"I don't know, but whoever that man is, he is no less than a god for us," The friend replied while his eyes were still wide open after watching the massacre.

"A slaughter God!" One of the soldiers commented in admiration, hearing the conversation between the group of friends.

Aakesh didn't hear the conversation about him. Even if he had, he wouldn't have cared. Gods may be lofty beings for others, but the products he had sold have already created a hundred real Gods.

Five minutes later,

Aakesh was standing on the branch of a tree and looking faraway. He could see the silhouette of a strong army while the trees around him shook due to such a large movement.

Despite continuously fighting for more than an hour, there wasn't even a single bead of sweat on his forehead.

After identifying his target, he jumped down the tree and rushed.

If the leaders of the beastmen army didn't have tens of beastmen as their guards, Aakesh would've killed them from a fair distance using bow and arrow. But since shooting tens of arrows each second wasn't possible in his current state, he had to rush in their midst.

The beastmen had better eyesight when compared with humans, so when Aakesh was some distance away from the army, the rangers had already seen him.

The beastmen didn't believe that someone alone would dare enter their midst, but they still prepared for the intruder.

When Aakesh reached the army, the beastmen were already prepared for him. In no time, he got surrounded from all directions.

"Halt, human!" One of the beastmen in front coldly ordered Aakesh.

Aakesh had no change in his expressions even though he got surrounded. He ignored the beastmen soldier and took a look around him.

The beastmen soldier got angry after getting ignored by a human, but before he could vent his anger on the human, his world turned upside down.

Only the next moment, he found the reason behind it, after seeing his headless body falling in front of him. The next moment, the beastmen lost consciousness.

Aakesh didn't stop and took another life with the swing of his second sword.

The beastmen didn't know how to make weapons, but since humans have always been greedy, they created the weapons and sold them to the beastmen. Humans didn't forget to use the beastmen's weakness and only made the weapons that were suitable in their hands, so only the beastmen who had human hands could use those weapons.

A few of the 90,000 strong beastmen army had human hands, and several of them were archers. They fired arrows in unison, and Aakesh got engulfed in arrows.

Aakesh created a shield using both swords to defend himself from the arrows. He may have fighting knowledge, but the knowledge doesn't matter when the sword starts losing its durability.

"Clang!"

The continuous sounds of metal clashes rang in the area, while cracks started appearing in his swords.

Aakesh had already prepared for such circumstances and had carried four extra swords on his back before coming here.

He threw the two swords, aiming at the archers, making the beastmen confused. He then grabbed the next pair of swords from his back and pulled them out right away.

Both the swords didn't miss their aim and pierced the throat of the beastmen.

"Clink!"

He started his dance again. His killing rate decreased since he now had to deflect the arrows coming at him.

Time flew by, and ten minutes passed.

He had finally killed all the archers present in the beastmen's army.

No beastmen could be seen in the area of ten meters around him. The beastmen finally felt the fear of death from Aakesh, so they started escaping even when they outnumbered him by tens of thousands.

How could Aakesh let them escape?

The war would only end when the leader of one side was dead, so Aakesh rushed inside the camp of the beastmen.

No beastmen dared to stop him. They forgot their loyalty to their leader and made way for Aakesh to reach them.

Only a few familial relatives tried to stop him in his way, but every single one of them died after Aakesh cut their heads off.

"Halt-!" The Lionmen roared, seeing Aakesh coming near him, but his roar came to a sudden halt when Aakesh stared at him.

"You're the Townhead of Roszke?" Aakesh asked the Lionmen, since he was the only Lionmen in the group of leaders.

The Lionmen didn't dare to answer.  He knew if he answered, Aakesh would kill him, but the next moment, something unimaginable happened.

"Dear master, he's the Townhead of the Roszke," Another leader of the neighbor town gave out his identity.

The Lionmen glared at his friend, but his friend didn't dare to look at him.

Time flew by, and the morning of the next day arrived.. It was time for Aakesh to open the store.
