Chapter 133: Events

The moment the projection of the golden crown appeared above George, everybody had to move away from him. It gave everyone the pressure of standing near the king, so only when they walked a few steps away from him were they able to breathe freely.

"Take your reward," Aakesh expressionlessly told George as he extended his hand carrying the sword.

George nodded and approached Aakesh. He had an excited expression as he was getting an Immortal level growth sword. He already had the same level weapon, but the addition of the sword would only be advantageous for him.

When he reached Aakesh, the ordinary looking sword floated to him. It couldn't be any more ordinary looking as when George touched its surface, it felt cold, and he thought he was touching a plain hard rock.

"Drop your blood on it, and it would become yours for eternity," Aakesh added as he sat back down on his chair.

George didn't wait and bit the tip of his index finger. The next moment, a drop of red blood with a golden hue fell on the sword and engulfed it. The injury on George's finger healed on its own the next moment.

He eagerly looked at the sword, trying not to miss a single change, but unfortunately, he couldn't peer through his own blood and see what was going on inside the blood cover.

A few moments later, the blood cover dissipated on its own, and a sword that looked completely different from its previous version appeared in George's hands.

Before George could see the changes of the sword, it got free from its hold and tried to escape the store. It all happened so fast that George didn't have enough time to stop the sword.

The sword had only reached the first row of the chairs when Aakesh extended his hands, and a sudden unknown force arrived that dragged back it to his hands.

"Make it submit," Aakesh told George as the sword had its own will, and George had to win against it if he wanted to own its will.

"Thank you!" George thanked Aakesh for stopping the sword and took it from his hands.

The next moment, the sword started struggling again, which brought a look of surprise on Evelyn and Lenna's faces. George was a Heavenly Monarch level cultivator, yet it was trying to break free in his hands. Aakesh, who wasn't an Immortal level cultivator, pinned it down to such an extent that it didn't dare struggle free.

George ignored it as he was in a fight against the will of the sword in its consciousness.

The sword's consciousness looked the same as George's since his blood was the reason for its growth.

"Submit to me! You exist only because of me," George said to the consciousness.

The sword's consciousness didn't speak anything and instead made a move against George.

"You asked for it!" George said with a disappointed sigh as the next moment, he raised his hands and slashed it down.

The next moment, a white flash passed through the sword's consciousness and split it into two half perfectly cut pieces. It then started disintegrating into light particles. A few moments later, only he remained in the sword's consciousness.

George took a step forward and started searching for the core of the sword. To make the sword his own, he needed to imprint his signature on the core.

He finally found the core, and it was in the shape of a human heart. If George didn't know it was the consciousness of the sword, he would believe he was seeing an alive human heart since it was beating with the same rhythm as George's heart.

"Aghh!"

George screamed in pain as he felt the pain himself of imprinting on the sword core. When he finally stopped and opened his eyes in reality, his back was wet with cold sweat.

He finally took a look at the sword in his hands. It was dark red in color with some golden hue surrounding it. It was similar to the color of his blood.

It was a one-handed sword with both the edges being sharp. On the sword, a pattern of an alone human fighting myriad beasts with a sword in the human's hand was engraved to show its power.

The grip of the sword was wrapped in the rare, scarlet wyrm skin. George's name was engraved in the lower part of the grip, signifying him as the owner of the sword.

The Scarlet wyrm was one of the races of the wyrms that had the ability to control blood. The next moment, a skill emerged in George's head.

The skill name was 'Blood Healing'. It gave George the ability to heal by burning his blood, irrespective of the extent of the damage. The skill also allowed him to regain his blood simply by killing.

Since George was an Immortal, he didn't have use for the skill. Being an Immortal already granted him the ability to revive automatically from even a drop of his blood.

He then waved the sword in the air to see his compatibility with it. It fit perfectly in his hands, and it only weighed where George could use the sword flawlessly.

"You can leave now," Aakesh said as he waved his hands. The next moment, All the nine participants, including George, appeared on their respective chairs.

"It's time for the next event," Aakesh announced the next moment.

It was the same event as the previous one, but this time it was for archers. Around fifty-two participated in this event despite the event fee of 200 inferior Primal stones, and it was only due to one person, Lenna, who also took part in the event.

In the hope of facing her in the battle, many joined the event.

It also had the same rounds as the swords. In the first round, all the archers faced against the store warrior. Only five participants survived the arrow and qualified for the next round.

Being an Elf gave an advantage to Lenna despite Aakesh restricting the archery into basics, so she easily won the event and got the growth-level bow as the reward.

After that, similar events for different kinds of weapons happened, and some events passed without even getting single participation.

So far, Aakesh has had around 178 participants in the events, and 26248 people were currently sitting, watching the event in the store.
