Chapter 1203: Battle!

The sunset arrived in Thorr and its nearby cities, bringing the cover of darkness. Soon, the store turned empty, with only the exceptions of Aakesh, Lily, and Khaval.

"Let's go!" Aakesh commented after closing the store's door.

The next moment, he and the other two disappeared from the store's hall, appearing in the selection area.

Khaval and Lily jumped down from his head, ready to go to their training. Soon, only Aakesh was left standing there alone.

The smile on his face disappeared, and he closed all his senses. He went to the weapon counter and picked up one. He then went to the selection switch, and soon the newly-emerged space crack sucked him inside.

Aakesh's senses returned, and he found himself in the familiar arena with the regular blue pop-up screen floating in front of him.

Aakesh brought his attention to the weapon in his hand. It was a spear. Aakesh casualty swung it, and his body had gotten accustomed to the weapon.

He then focused on the blue screen and tapped on the regular option. The next moment, a blue light covered the entire arena.

When the light disappeared, his opponent was waiting for him, standing only a hundred meters from him.

It was a humanoid creature of the same height as Aakesh. It belonged to the Gregorant, a race in the demon group, but not in the Sacred Dimension. It was a creature of the Primordial Dimension.

The creature was humanoid but looked nothing like them. His face wasn't at the top but right above his waist, and it was inverted, with the mouth at the top and the eyes at the bottom.

The Gregorant had three eyes in straight lines, with each having a different pupil. The one on the right had a red pupil in the pattern of a horizontal half-moon; the one on the right had a gray pupil in the pattern of a vertical half-moon. The one in the center had a full golden moon, but there seemed to be a second silver sphere superimposed on that, making it seem different.

Growl!

The creature growled after he saw Aakesh standing on the other side. The next moment, all three of its eyes closed.

Ding!

The familiar sound of the bell rang in the arena, announcing the start of the battle. Aakesh immediately made his move, charging at the opponent.

The eye in the center opened, and soon a blinding light emerged from it. But before the light could do anything, Aakesh appeared right in front of the creature. His spear pierced the creature's heart, which was placed where the head should have been.

It was like clashing with unbreakable metal, but even the slight strength from Aakesh pierced through it like a hot knife passing through butter.

Thud!

The next moment, the creature collapsed, his heart exploding. The battle ended as soon as it had begun.

Aakesh had returned to his spot with not even a single wet spot on the spearhead.

Soon, a blue light washed over the arena, freezing the time. The usual pop-up screen appeared with the same choices. Aakesh's fingers reflexively tapped on the screen to go to the next stage, and soon, the arena appeared as new as ever, with the creature also appearing.

Time flew by, and the battle between the two continued.

Since Aakesh's strength had grown after the successful breakthrough from peak Divine Transformation to Divine Being, it was inevitable that Aakesh would break the record he had set the day before with the bow.

As the battle continued, the opponent finally succeeded in surviving the first attack, but to reach that point, he had to face more than ninety battles.

In the one hundred and seventh battle, the opponent succeeded in landing a hit on Aakesh for the first time. It wasn't even enough to be called a minuscule injury, but nonetheless, it was a hit.

The battle continued, and finally, in the one hundred thirty-first battle, the opponent succeeded in landing a strike that could be considered a big cut, but no blood came out as it healed in no time.

In the one hundred seventy-eighth battle, the fight continued for more than twenty rounds for the first time. It was a complete domination by Aakesh, but still, it was the lengthiest battle between the two until that point.

In the one hundred and ninety-ninth round, Aakesh released more than three-fourths of his strength, making the battle the longest as well as the most destructive.

Time passed by, and minutes passed in the blink of an eye.

It was finally time for the 204th round of battle. It was the record made by Aakesh.

Aakesh released eighty-five percent of his strength in the battle, and after around a minute, the battle came to an end with Aakesh becoming the victor. It was complete dominance from Aakesh's side.

Ding!

The bell rang, announcing the start of the 218th round of battle.

The opponent opened its left eye first, and the next moment, countless horizontal half-moon-like structures were coming down on Aakesh.

Aakesh's eyes were cold as he jumped and clashed with the gigantic moon shower. As his spear clashed with the half-moon, the result was only destruction.

BOOM!

As Aakesh was going to clash with another half-moon, a loud explosion suddenly rang beside him, throwing Aakesh off balance.

Aakesh was knocked back to the ground, but he stabilized himself during the landing and did not let any serious harm come to him.

Aakesh looked at the creature and found that the number of superimposed full-moons in the center eye had gone down by one.

There was a cruel grin plastered over the creature's face as the center eyes suddenly blinked, and there was another explosion beside Aakesh.

Aakesh was ready and activated [Counter Shield] immediately. The transparent barrier not only stopped the damage but also threw it back at the creature with amplification.

Right at that moment, the arena started to crack from gravity as the gigantic half-moons in the sky were closer to the surface.

Aakesh looked into the sky and threw the spear, aiming at the half-moon in the last.

Whoosh!

The next moment, the spear flew through the air.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Consecutive explosions started to ring as the spear destroyed the half-moon one after another, forming a chain of fireworks.

Not long after, the sky was clear, and the left eye of the creature exploded with the last half-moon exploding in the sky. Before Aakesh could celebrate, the gravity around him started to grow at a dangerous rate.

At first, Aakesh felt nothing, but as it reached ten thousand times, he felt himself slightly sinking. Still, it was nothing much, so Aakesh looked in the sky and found a gigantic vertical half-moon in the sky, looking down on him.

While the gravity around Aakesh was growing, the opposite was happening for the opponent. The creature found his movement skyrocketing as the gravitational force turned optimal for him.

Whoosh!

Like an arrow, the Gregorant came flying at him, tearing through the air. Aakesh felt his body finally turning heavy enough to make his movement extremely hard, but Aakesh overpowered the bounds of the force as he released his energy.

Aakesh ignored the Gregorant, focusing on the vertical half-moon in the sky.

A golden glow started to form around the spearhead, and in no time, it engulfed the spearhead in its entirety. It wasn't the end, as another golden flow began to develop, but darker. As the color of the glow turned darker, similarly, the space around the spear became fragile.

At one time, the glow had become so dark that it looked simply black, but those with sharp eyes would be able to catch the slight golden intensity.

The Gregorant had also reached Aakesh. It punched, with a silver glow around the punch.

Aakesh's eyes were cold as he turned toward the punch. But since Aakesh already had his move planned, the punch hit nothing but the air.

Aakesh, adding force to his legs, took a jump, soon reaching close to the vertical half-moon.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Suddenly, a flurry of explosions rang out as the Gregorant blinked its center eye repeatedly. With every blink, there was a new blast, and similarly, the golden moon began to get clear.

Aakesh had the Counter Shield around him, but the sheer number of explosions began to take a toll on its defense.

Aakesh's eyes were filled with nothing but chill as if he had gone past the concept of emotions at that moment. He carried his spear with his right hand behind his shoulder, and after adding as much energy as he could at that moment, he brought it forward.

Aakesh's strength was no joke at that moment, as the intense gravitational force bearing on him failed to do anything to stop the onslaught, and the next moment, the spear clashed with the vertical half-moon.

BOOM!

An explosion louder than ever in the battle rang as the force from the blast knocked Aakesh downward.

Roar!

The Gregorant let out a painful roar as his right eye exploded.

Aakesh didn't stabilize himself but used the force from the explosion to push him toward the Gregorant.

He was like an uncontrolled bird as he crashed on the Gregorant, his spear piercing through the creature's head.

The next moment, the heart exploded like a watermelon, but as the bits and pieces came toward Aakesh, an invisible force acted and stopped him from getting sullied by the blood.

Time flew by, and soon, Aakesh reached his battle limit after the breakthrough.

In the 223rd round, the battle went for fifteen rounds, but it was complete domination by the Gregorant, and soon, Aakesh died, making a new record for himself to break.

The next moment, Aakesh found himself in the selection area. A smile spread across his face as he found Lily and Khaval waiting for him.
