Chapter 1064: A New Day for the Store(1)
After losing the battle, Aakesh appeared in the selection area. Since there wasn't much time left in Lily's training, Aakesh decided to wait for her.
ραпdα Йᴏνêl(сòm) Time flew by, and suddenly, the silence inside the area broke as a portal appeared, and Lily stepped out of it.
A smile spread across Lily's face when she saw Aakesh waiting for her. She then went to her chair and sat down, beginning another of their traditional conversations.
***
"Another assassination happened," Lily stated, beginning the conversation.
"Who was it?" Aakesh asked.
"Fickley!"
"Have you discovered the traitor's identity?" Aakesh asked. Fickley was one of the council members of the group directly controlled by Lily.
A wide smile spread on Lily's face as she raised her hand and pointed at herself.
"Oh, did you have any proof of her betrayal?" Aakesh seemed surprised and asked. Lily had never before made such a significant choice without consulting him.
"I had doubts over her actions," Lily responded. She clearly couldn't prove Fickley to be the traitor.
"I just wanted to alert the real traitor," Lily then added with a smile.
"Ah, my daughter has gotten smarter," A proud expression appeared on Aakesh's face, and then he made the gesture of wiping his eyes.
Lily couldn't help but squirm when she saw the cringe actions of Aakesh.
Lily then further told Aakesh about her day and what actions made her suspicious of Fickley, and when her turn was over, Aakesh shared his experience for the day.
"What do you think about me getting late to reach you in Panagea?" The session was about to come to an end when Aakesh suddenly popped the question.
Lily looked in surprise at Aakesh since he never went back on what he told her. At the same time, she also became curious about what could make Aakesh extend his journey duration.
"I have found a special palace…"
Aakesh responded, igniting curiosity in Lily's heart.
Something that could make Aakesh interested was rarely anything ordinary.
Lily didn't accept Aakesh's request immediately, and soon the conversation between them came to an end.
The next moment, Aakesh and Lily appeared in the store's hall.
***
"I will answer tomorrow," Lily told Aakesh before stepping up the stairs.
Aakesh smiled upon hearing Lily's answer, and soon it turned into his usual indifference after Lily disappeared into the room.
Time flew by, and days passed in the blink of an eye.
Several days later,
Tap! Tap! Tap!
Aakesh was relaxing on his chair when he heard the sound of footsteps coming from the door. He opened his eyes and turned in that direction where he was greeted by an unfamiliar face.
***
"Hello, store owner," Giri greeted Aakesh after approaching him.
Giri was a True God level cultivator, with her being the King of one of the neighboring Kingdoms to the Fawkes Kingdom.
As time passed, the store's popularity grew exponentially, not only with people outside of Thorr City but also with those from neighboring Kingdoms.
Since Giri had already found out all the information in the public domain about the mysterious store owner, she was extremely respectful, despite having greater strength and higher cultivation.
"I am Giri, the King of the Glorious Sparrow Kingdom," She introduced herself.
"I am Aakesh," Aakesh replied with his usual response to any introduction.
"Store owner, what products are sold in the store?" Giri asked. Even though she already knew about the products since it had become extremely common knowledge among the spies, she still asked, as it was the most harmless way to communicate with the mysterious, non-demon store owner.
"The store currently sells five products. They are pills, weapons, cultivation arts, Panagea, and beasts…"
Aakesh introduced all five products to Giri in a single breath. Despite knowing about it before the introduction, Giri was still surprised to hear it directly from Aakesh's mouth.
***
Giri wanted to enter Panagea, but unfortunately, all the spots were booked for the third and fourth groups while the second group was currently inside Panagea.
All the products catered to True God level cultivators, so Giri had a choice here. But since the most consequential product in the store was Beasts, she decided to check it out.
Giri had learned about how Jamie's fortunes had changed after getting a Red Fawkes. It was only a Divine Lord, but it was sure to become a True God, and for the Kingdoms on planet Curiel, an additional True God meant a severalfold jump in power.
Thinking like this, Giri went to the beast's room. There were already three people in the room, so Giri silently went and joined the queue. Around thirty minutes later, it was finally Giri's turn, while behind her, two people were waiting.
Giri pressed the switch, beginning her round of summoning.
Time flew by, and at the fourth summon, a familiar beast appeared on the screen. Not long after, a card emerged out of thin air and flew into her hands.
As sales increased, the system added a blurry effect to the card to conceal the beast's details from other customers. Only the summoner was able to see the details.
