The Female Assassin Pretends to Be a Lamb in the Campus

Chapter 50: Qin Han more to M Island; Qiao Ying for the White Lord to seize back the goods"

Chapter 50

Qiao Ying's eyes narrowed slightly as she looked intently at the brightly lit building in the distance, murmuring to herself, "Fixed up?"

God's Army, the feared powerhouse in M Continent that no one dared provoke, had been destroyed halfway with ten kilograms of TNT. It had shocked the entire M Continent.

At the time, it had been broad daylight. Qiao Ying couldn't help but think: Could it be that God's Army had found out that she was the one who blew up their headquarters?

Beijing,

Qin Family.

Qin Yan knocked on the study door, "Boss, M Continent has been more chaotic than usual this year, with an influx of desperados from Southeast Asia. Yesterday, even our goods were robbed. Don't you need to go take care of it?"

Qin Han looked at the documents in his hand, "The Gladiator Competition is about to start?"

Qin Yan: "Yes, there are ten more days. It will probably be more exciting than previous years."

Qin Han closed the documents, looked up, and after a moment, said, "Ask Yuchen if he's going or not."

Qin Yan: "Yes."

After leaving the hotel, Bademan hadn't come back.

Worried, Bai Xiao called some companions to go look for him. Fortunately the man was fine.

After resting at the hotel for two days, Bai Xiao's wallet had run empty and he couldn't even afford the room fee.

Relying on his long-standing connections, Bai Xiao received another escort job and immediately set off with his companions.

In the elevator, they ran into a girl.

The girl was a little chubby, but had fair skin and delicate features. The composure and nonchalance the girl exuded attracted more than a few glances. It was the same girl who had randomly smiled at him when checking in a few days ago.

What also caught Bai Xiao's attention was that, like him, the girl was an Asian with black hair and eyes. She might even be Chinese.

"If the goods get robbed again this time, we Blackwater Mercenary Group might as well pack up and become farmers. Anyway, I won't have the face to stay in M Continent anymore."

"Say something more positive, mate."

Bademan then said, "After this mission, I'm leaving Blackwater." The elevator door opened and Bademan walked out first.

Qiao Ying stood in the corner of the elevator, watching as the group left.

Just before the elevator doors closed, Qiao Ying stuck out her foot to stop it, then walked out of the elevator.

This time the goods exceeded the budget, so Bai Xiao's group was short on manpower. They wanted to send more backup but there was no time. Hiring extra local help required funds they didn't have.

They could only proceed with gritted teeth.

Fortunately the journey wasn't far, just an eight hour drive.

For safety reasons, they decided to floor the gas without any stops, taking obscure side roads.

With seven trucks, they had exactly seven people, one per truck, with no spare manpower.

But even with their careful precautions, something still happened.

The lead truck driven by Bai Xiao suddenly had a flat tire, forcing all the trucks behind to stop.

Bai Xiao got out to check, telling the others to stay in their trucks.

After the number of incidents this year, Bai Xiao's group was on high alert towards any movement.

Before Bai Xiao could inspect the situation, over twenty armed mercenaries emerged from the bushes, instantly surrounding them.

Outnumbered, Bai Xiao's mere seven men had no chance to resist. With guns pointed at them, they were forced out of their trucks.

Watching their goods get robbed again, after a year of suppression, Bademan lost his patience.

With his hands clasped behind his head, he suddenly lashed out, yanking a mercenary climbing into a driver's seat out of the truck and punching him square in the face, before spinning around to punch the man next to him.

Reacting quickly, Bai Xiao grabbed the long barrel of a nearby gun and yanked its owner stumbling forward, before kicking the back of the man's knees.

War erupted instantaneously.

Chaos ensued.

Bai Xiao's group were elites among mercenaries, comparable to God's Army's top forces.

But they were still outnumbered.

In the end, Bai Xiao's group were beaten down, with Bademan shot in the leg, seriously wounded.

The leader of the mercenaries stepped on Bademan's injured leg, arrogantly jeering, "If not for the damned rules set by the God's Army Alliance, I'd have blown your brains out."

"Trash barely clinging onto life."

As Bai Xiao's group seethed helplessly, the mercenaries swaggered away with their loot.

After the mercenaries left, White Xiao struggled up from the ground, battered all over.

He looked at the shot Bademan, telling another companion, "You take Bademan back. The rest of us will find people and get our stuff back."

With their goods constantly being robbed, they had no money left to compensate.

This time, even if it cost their lives, they had to take their goods back.

Bademan shoved away the companion trying to support him, eyes filled with killing intent, "I'm going with you guys."

"Now's not the time for bravado!" Bai Xiao yelled angrily.

"I'd rather die fighting them!" Bademan was determined to go.

As the argument raged, the sound of engines suddenly grew louder. Looking up, they saw the familiar trucks approaching them.

Bai Xiao's group instantly tensed up in alarm.

What more did these people want to do?!

Bai Xiao tightened his grip on the combat knife in his hand. Before they could react, the incensed Bademan charged forward, hellbent on a fight to the death. His companions desperately held him back.

As the trucks neared, the passenger door of the first truck opened and the person who jumped out left Bai Xiao's battle-ready group momentarily stunned.

It was the girl.

Before they could think much, the person who exited the driver's seat next left them gawking in shock once more.

They saw the mercenary leader who had arrogantly crushed Bademan's leg, robbed their goods, and swaggered off, now covered in injuries as he tumbled out of the truck.

Not just the mercenary leader, but the rest emerging from the trailing trucks were all battered and bruised, supporting each other as they limped forward wretchedly.

The previously brazen group now looked at them sheepishly.

Bai Xiao stared blankly at the scene, stupefied.

"What are you standing around for? Hurry up and get ready to move out."

Snapping back to his senses, Bai Xiao saw the girl who had appeared by his side somehow, speaking to him.

"You-" Bai Xiao's lips moved but no sound came out for several seconds before he finally asked, "You're Chinese?"

Realizing he had asked the wrong thing, Bai Xiao immediately followed up, "Who are you? Why are you here? What's going on with the goods and these people?"

"I heard your leader died and the great Blackwater Mercenary Group was left leaderless. Consider this a show of sincerity." Qiao Ying's tone was breezy as she cocked her chin lightly at the miserable crew.

Before Bai Xiao could respond, the blond, green-eyed Sack who understood Chinese cut in, "What do you mean? You want to become our leader?"

Qiao Ying's brow quirked slightly, "Not qualified enough?"
