Chapter 251 - My Youth (10)

Murong family was one of the ancient families in the Azure Republic. They were a family that consisted of dangerous people. Because of the hideous crimes that they committed, they were eradicated by the other families who worked together.

The family who led the union was none other than the Han family. At the end of that war, the Han family rose up and became the leading family that ruled the Azure Republic.

Han Yehan was still confused about how Lu Xingyan was able to draw the logo perfectly. Did she saw it somewhere? That was impossible. It has been decades already since they were annihilated.

After telling her what she knew, he asked her once again, "Are you sure that you have never seen this kind of tattoo from someone?"

"Like what I said, I saw it in my dream." If Han Yehan became this restless, it only meant that they were really dangerous. Aside from that, the man in her dream, that killer... It only meant that he belonged to the Murong family, right?

He looked around, making sure that there was no one near them before he leaned close to her, their faces inches apart. He warned in a whispering tone, "Xingyan, if you ever saw someone with that tattoo, you better tell me okay?" This was something too serious, something he should report to his father.

She nodded a bit, "Don’t worry, I’m not a dumb person, Xiao Ye."

He pulled back and sighed, "I know. But I’m just reminding you, it’s better to be safe than sorry. They do say that people in our dreams are actually we met, faces of people our eyes saw even if it was just for a second. We only remember them through our dreams."

Lu Xingyan had never thought of it that way, not even once. If he put it like that, then it could really mean that she really did meet the people in her dream.

The two teenagers stayed for quite a while at the library, burying their heads in books until one of them noticed that the sun began to set.

"That’s enough for today." Lu Xingyan closed the book she was reading. She looked at him with a small, grateful smile on her lips. "Thank you, Xiao Ye."

"I guess we’ll have to continue this on the next weekend." He replied. "We should check out these two books." He took the books about decoding ciphers that they were reading earlier.

"Okay."

After fixing their things, they went to the counter and borrowed the books before they part ways. Lu Xingyan directly headed to the apartment building. She entered the elevator and pressed the button of the floor she belonged in.

The elevator cart was raised and after a few seconds, she reached her designated floor. She went out of the cart and walked towards where her room was located. She took out the key card from her bag and used it to unlock the door. She turned the knob and pulled the door open.

Upon entering, she saw her sister in the living room, watching tv with her boyfriend. She narrowed her eyes at that sight. Lu Weichun was inside her boyfriend’s arms while they were both immense in what they were watching.

This shameless sister... How dare she brought that man in their place?!

It has been days since they last talked to each other. They were giving each other silent treatment and it looked like that treatment has to stop now that Fan Jingli was there.

Lu Weichun was busy watching so she didn’t notice her sister’s arrival, but unlike her, Fan Jingli turned his head to the door’s way and saw her there.

Lu Weichun’s attention was finally stolen when he said, "Ah, Xiao Xing, you’re back."

Lu Xingyan’s poker face cracked when she let out a small sarcastic snicker on her lips, "What? Are you expecting me to be out longer so that you can take advantage of my sister?"

"Xingyan!" Lu Weichun yelled, glaring at her.

"Well, while you are flirting with each other here, can you please lower down the TV’s volume? I have to study. The rooms here are not soundproof." She headed straight to her room and shut the door with a loud bang.

Lu Xingyan sighed heavily. It was her schedule to make dinner that night but with that awful bastard around, she didn’t feel like cooking at all.

She placed her bag down on the bed and sighed. Oh, how she wished her dear sister’s eyes would be opened to the reality of her relationship soon.

She didn’t really want to mingle with her relationship, she didn’t mind if her sister was out dating, disobeying their father. What she only wanted was for her to find a decent man, not someone like Fan Jingli who could break her heart into pieces. Even if it was just a dream, she was bothered enough by it. She has to make sure that her sister was well protected.

She tied her hair up into a ponytail and went to the bathroom to wash her face clean. After she did, she wiped her face dry with a towel before she went out and headed straight to the kitchen to start preparing dinner. Not long, the scent of the food she was cooking reached Lu Weichun and Fan Jingli’s noses.

"Are you done watching? Dinner is ready. You better tell that guy to go home before it gets late." Lu Xingyan said as she looked at them after placing the food on the table.

"Jingli-ge can join us for dinner." Lu Weichun said, acting as if she wasn’t in a feud with her sister.

The younger twin snickered inwardly, "Sure, have it your way."

Did they really think that she would just let them have a peaceful time? She wasn’t going to let Fan Jingli leave without a souvenir. It may be childish but so what? She didn’t like the man so she was going to show it on his face.
