Chapter 516: The Original

Somewhere in the depths of one of the 13 oceans, hundreds of kilometers below the surface of the ocean where even the sun's light could never reach, a battle was taking place between a shadow so massive that it could easily dwarf a mountain and a silhouette of a single man.

The beast's lower jaw was divided into six sharp protrusions formed by thick bone-like material that covered the front half of its body.

The back half had transparent skin that was lit up by millions of small lights inside its body. There were two feelers above its head that were several thousand meters long, covered by a constant electrical current.

Every time it moved its two fins on either side, whirlpools were created by the displacement of large amounts of water. (Reference image in author's notes)

In front of this humungous creature was a human silhouette that was only visible because of the numerous glowing tattoos on his body.

Without any clothing or apparatus on his bare body, he floated in front of the creature like it was his own backyard.

The crushing pressure that would turn even a Spirit Real cultivator to mush couldn't seem to restrict his movements at all as he lazily picked his nose with the pinky finger.

There were a few wrinkles on his face along with a streak of white hairs on his head that revealed his age to be in the early forties.

He had no defining features other than the tens of small and large scars all over his body. Each scar was followed by tattoos of various shapes and sizes that even covered his privates. One could only imagine how painful it would have been.

He looked completely ordinary. If dressed in a suit you would be hard-pressed to pick him out of a crowd of office workers. But this quality of being mundane and commonplace had more to it than it met the eye.

In the depths of the murky ocean, he stood alone in front of this creature that was thousands of times his size.

Seeing his calm reaction to its previous attack, the creature recoiled its body. The lights on its back-half started getting brighter and brighter until they formed a vague symbol.

All the water within 5 kilometers of the man turned to ice in every single direction, leaving him nowhere to escape to. The creature then opened its mouth and drew in a copious amount of water within a blink of an eye.

The water gathered in its maw, forming a ball that first increased in size to over 2,000 meters before being shrunk to just over 200 meters. This ball of water resembled a blue color as dark as it could be and gave off a dense energy that kept getting thicker and heavier.

It was almost at the level of turning into a natural law, indicated by the increase in water density in the surroundings.

When the ball was fully formed, the creature's coiled body suddenly expanded as if an explosion had taken place inside it and the ball of blue energy was shot towards the iceberg imprisoning the man.

The ball made contact with the ice, shattering it like glass. But it didn't float away, instead, it was all pulled in towards the ball of water and crushed into nothingness.

The ball continued moving until it reached the spot where the man was, where it stopped. It then started rotating, drawing in everything from the surroundings.

An attack of this magnitude, not even profound realm cultivators would be able to escape from with their lives.

The beast watched on as the ball got smaller and smaller, having drawn in everything within a few thousand meters. It finally stopped upon reaching a size of half of a meter, but it had turned into a solid now, in the shape of an eight-sided crystal.

The beast warily inspected the crystal from afar before coming closer. It opened its mouth once again, ready to swallow the crystal when it suddenly froze. On top of its head between the two feelers, the man stood unharmed.

The creature's body lit up once again and the feelers started discharging blue electric currents, trying to push him off but before this attack could be executed, the naked man bent down and placed his hand on top of the creature's head.

Five tattoos, each of a different shape lit up all at once with a blinding red light. All of these tattoos were located along his right arm. Much like the charging up of a weapon, the tattoo's light increased in intensity until even the tens of thousands of meters long creature under him was shrouded by it.

And when the light disappeared, there was nothing left in its place. Not the man, and neither the creature where there.

Below an old supervolcano somewhere on the main continent of the planet was a huge lava lake that bubbled continuously.

Around it were hundreds of people, all calmly standing in a circle when the lava rippled, and the same creature that was millions of miles away in the ocean just a second ago now appeared above it before falling into it with a splash.

*Krreaaaaaaaaak*

It made a sharp, ear-piercing noise as the lava started burning it alive.
