Chapter 332: Welcome

"Mhm, that's right!"

Yu Yan (Authors notes) was sitting in her office watching what seemed like a movie or a tv show while munching on some snacks. Every now and then she would say something in an animated voice in response to the current scene.

On the screen was an astoundingly beautiful woman dressed in slightly worn-out pants and shirts that were ripped from a few "strategic" places here and there. The were bloodstains on her face and clothes and it looked like she had just come out of a fight.

But even though it was made to look like that, with her unparalleled beauty which was enough for her to be called heavenly even, she looked anything but weary. If there were heavenly angels that were the very standard of perfection, this girl would have left them far behind in comparison. She was charming to such a degree.

Every single shake of her waist was caught perfectly by the camera and showcased tastefully and elegantly.

This statuesque beauty held a sword in her right hand which was being pointed towards another handsome figure, albeit much less in comparison. The figure belonged to a man who could take any average woman's breath away with a glance.

*GASP!*

"No way! It was him all alone?! How could he do this to the princess?!" Yu Yan shouted at the top of her lungs, throwing whatever was in her mouth at the screen.

*Crackle*

*Vmmm*

The sound much like a vacuum being turned on and the crackling of lightning came from outside, startling her.

Yu Yan placed the bowl of snacks on the table and got up.

"Huh? What's happening??" she peaked out of the window.

She was a technician that overlooked the teleportation formation of the city of Fortuna along with a few other people.

But since there were no mass teleportation planned, there was no need for more than one person to be there because under normal circumstances nobody would just make a random visit to such a far-out location.

Teleportation formations were extremely expensive to maintain and required a lot of energy to activate every single time. They were only ever used for either emergencies or if important people were coming from somewhere very far away.

Today, she was on duty just like the thousands of other times already.

"The hell is happening??" she looked even more confused when she saw the sigils lighting up. The formation was powering up on its own.

She quickly went back to her desk and looked around for a piece of paper. She looked through it but became even more confused after.

This document recorded all incoming teleportation, their exact time, place of origin and the people arriving with their complete history. Yet right now the document had nothing written down for today.

If this was happening back on earth, it would be like a random airplane suddenly attempting to land on a small runaway far out in the sticks. So her confusion was understandable, to say the least.

She quickly dialed a number on Spirit Band. It rang for a few seconds but was picked up. A lazy voice came from the other side.

"Why are you disturbing me rooky?" it sounded like the owner of that voice had just woken up.

"You bast- Uhm, I mean team leader, the formation is starting up on its own. There are none planned for today but it seems like someone is about to come through right now! What do you want me to do??"

"WHAT!!?"

The sound of glass breaking came from the other side. The man had hit something while getting up.

"Do you recognize the energy signal?!"

"Let me check," Yu Yan said while going over to her desk. She opened a drawer and pulled out something that looked like a compass but had two antennas on the top. She went back to the window and pointed the antennas at the formation and a few numbers showed up.

"Its..."

"What? Open your mouth and speak the words quickly!" the man shouted.

Yu Yan hesitated, not being able to believe what she was seeing. She triple checked the numbers before continuing.

"The starting signal reads...not of Tertium. If I'm not wrong, it's from Primis!"

"P..Primis...?" the man went suddenly silent.

"Boss, what should I do? Should I call for the military??" Yu Yan asked when more than half of the formation had lit up. A couple of seconds later the man spoke up again.

"No. Don't do anything. Is there anyone else with you?"

"No."

"Okay good. Close the door, close the windows. Go back to your desk and continue watching your movie. Ignore anything you hear outside. Do not look, do not say or do anything. Understand?"

"But th-"

"Under.satnd?" he repeated but louder and clearer.

Yu Yan had been working with this person for over 5 years. They were childhood friends and he was the one that got her this job in the first place.

"I-I understand."

"Good."

*Click*

Yu Yan did as told and closed the door and windows. She went back to her desk and resumed the movie but all she could hear was the crackling sound of the formation powering up.

A minute passed like this and then suddenly it all went silent.

She tried her best to hold back but she was always a curious person and could not just sit back like this.

With small steps, she crawled over to the window and moved away the curtain just a tinny bit, enough for her to barely see one corner of the formation, the landing area.

She saw a person standing in the middle of the formation staring up at the sky. Someone dressed in full white. A man? No, how could a man be so bewitching?

The sound of footsteps came from the entrance of the yard and four people walked in. All of them youngsters. They immediately got down on one knee.

"Y-Young Master Alucard, welcome to Tertium."
