The Black Necromancer

Chapter 471 Improved Trick

When Leon teleported himself and the three other Ace Candidates out of his other summons had immediately taken note of it.

"The Master has gone out to fight again." Kaladin sighed.

"Let's go and watch. It's been a long time since we last saw him fight." Nero urged Kaladin and Grokus. Eventually, he was able to convince the two of them, along with a host of other summons to head to the floating island where Leon had teleported to.

The sudden appearance of half a dozen Gods and dozens of celestial creatures surprised Dyson's companions, but upon seeing that there were two Obsidian Skeleton Gods among the new arrivals, they calmed down to an extent.

"Who would have thought that Leon already had so many subordinates under him?" Hannah whispered to Dean.

"Definitely not us. But one thing is for sure, Dean is in for a tough fight." The blue haired man grimaced.

"Heh, but I'm confident he can at least draw with Leon." Hannah said, folding her arms over her chest and huffing.

"Let us wait and see the results, then." Dean said nothing else and simply watched on.

On the other side, Nero's eyes were burning with passion when he saw his Master's challenger slam into the island down below with a casual move from Leon's hand. This display of Leon's power was pure ecstasy to a bootlicker like him.

Kaladin cast Nero a side glance and shook his head. The least Nero could have done was to try and act more natural. His attention was quickly drawn back to the fight when the sounds of explosions rang out.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOOOOM!!!

Gigantic domes of golden light swelled to immense sizes on the floating island every few seconds before dying out and revealing a crater that was several hundred meters wide in its wake. Each of these giant domes of golden light were brought about by the explosions caused by Dyson's Sun Seekers, as he called them. He constantly lobbed them out at Leon without pause, wanting them to corner Leon, but they all failed. Leon kept teleporting in a nick of time.

"Gah!" Dyson growled but he had not lost his cool yet. His hair had grown down to his waist at this point, glowing as if it was made of light itself.

He stopped throwing the Sun Seekers and instead charged straight at Leon. As he moved, a faint glow seemed to surround him and stick close to his body, like a second skin.

Leon also prepared himself to clash with Dyson. His body suddenly gained weight as he applied his understanding of various Laws to himself to make himself more sturdy.

Bang!

Dyson's fist clashed against Leon's but Leon was flung back as a second force that he had not been expecting slammed into his fist. He quickly reoriented himself before Dyson could exploit an opening.

'The second skin acts as a conduit for his power. He sets off a secondary explosion after the first hit has landed.' Leon noted. He prepared himself to receive the second punch, this time with more precautions.

A light sheen of purple energy clung to the surface of his armor, just like Dyson's. When Dyson's fist landed against his fist again, the layer of energy absorbed the energy that was released from Dyson's attack, preventing the explosion that had blown Leon away earlier.

Dyson's eyes widened slightly and Leon laughed out loud.

"Haha! Are you surprised that it didn't work the second time?" Leon laughed as he caught Dyson's fist and pulled him close. He pulled back his free hand and opened his palm, revealing a small black orb the size of an eyeball. "Have a taste of this!" He punched forward and slammed it into Dyson's chest before tossing him away.

Everyone who was watching wondered what Leon had done, but they did not have to wait long to find out. In the next moment, the sound of the wind howling and screeching rang through the ears of everyone present. A black hole appeared from Dyson's chest, growing and swelling until it had consumed his entire body.

The island down below was also affected as chunks of rocks and trees began to get pulled into the growing black hole.

"DYSON!" Hannah and Dean were shocked, Hannah especially. She wanted to rush forward to intervene when Kaladin and Nero appeared in front of her and Dean.

"Wait, be patient. The Master would not go as far as killing him." Kaladin said and folded his arms before turning around to watch the fight.

Hannah bit her lips and shared a look with Dean who just simply shrugged and decided to believe in Kaladin's words.

The black hole remained for the next thirty seconds before slowly calming down. After that, it blinked out of existence, revealing the injured form of Dyson.

"Hmm, you are in much better state that I expected. I guess I shouldn't have underestimated you and left my Gravity Bomb going for much longer." Leon commented.

"I... I admit my loss." Dyson struggled to say the words, but when he did, he felt as if a large weight had been lifted off his shoulders.

"I accept your admission of defeat. I have to say, you are pretty resilient, though. But you are too proud." Leon responded. "Don't get me wrong, your pride is a good thing. However, it also blinds you to the gap between you and others. Learn to gauge your opponent and pick battles you can win." Leon imparted some words of wisdom on the more junior God.

Then he snapped his fingers and teleported everyone present back to his God Kingdom, including his summons that had come out to watch him fight.

The four Ace Candidates reappeared in the room that they had been in and Dyson immediately fell into his seat. Hannah went over to him to check him over.

"Here, have this. It will boost your recovery speed." Leon snapped his fingers again and a small cup of a green liquid appeared in front of Dyson. It was a recovery boosting potion that had some effect on Minor Gods. He figured it would help Dyson recover from his battle injuries at a faster pace.
