The Black Necromancer

Chapter 457 Gaining The Sea God's Cooperation

Leon spent some time explaining his purpose for being here to the ancient Sea God. He did his best to give the powerful old God a rundown of things while keeping them short and straight to the point.

"I see... So you all need me to help you in this war..." The ancient Sea God, Corrun, as he had introduced himself, hummed and rubbed his chin in thought. His body had shrunken to a more reasonable size and now stood at about four meters in height.

"That's right." Leon nodded.

"Very well, then. I guess this is something exciting enough." The Sea God announced and nodded his head. "Go ahead with the revival. I shall cooperate as best as I can."

"Okay, I'll get to it." Leon nodded and turned his attention away from the Sea God. The Sea God also relaxed to see how things would proceed. But in the next moment, he was stunned as he felt a terrifying Divine Might rise up from Leon's body. It was not as if this Divine Might was greater than his, but he had not expected something like this to come from a God who had supposedly only ascended just recently. This was something that he expected to come from a centuries old God instead.

The skies of the world above them darkened quickly with dark clouds appearing from nowhere. A drizzle started up moments later with black drops of water falling from the clouds, which soon picked up into a heavy storm. None of the drops bothered Leon or Corrun, but it certainly did affect the sea around them.

The deep blue sea had begun to take on a hint of black, as if it was being corrupted by Leon's power. The black color eventually also spread to Corrun's body, slowly changing the color of the water that made his body.

"I guess this should be it, huh? See you on the other side, then." Corrun nodded his head at Leon before the water that made up his body fell apart and returned to the sea. Leon also nodded his head and pulled back his mind from the Divine Spark.

When he returned to reality, he found that the bright blue Divine Spark had turned into a dark purple color and radiated a mixed aura of Leon and Corrun at the same time. He studied it for a while before determining that a few hours would be needed before the transformation process would be completed. Only then would he finally absorb most of the power within the Divine Spark, while also bringing back Corrun.

It was a win-win situation, in that he gained more strength and got closer to advancing to Major God, while also bringing back a major powerhouse to join in on the coming battle.

He got up and left the room, going to the next one. This time, it was not the Divine Spark of a God, but rather, the Divine Fragment that held the soul of an immensely powerful celestial beast. This celestial creature was of similar rarity as the Ripple Deer, but its powers were more inclined toward pure destruction, rather than the mystical abilities of the Ripple Deer.

Somonax was the name that it had claimed for itself as it rose to prominence. It was a powerful creature that had carved a portion of the celestial realm for itself to rule in the days of the Era of Gods. However, because of its inclination toward destruction and chaos, it had to be put down and sealed away.

Somonax was a gigantic four-armed, black skinned humanoid with four eyes and a bone structure on its head that resembled a crown. It was suffice to say that it would have passed as the Demon God had it managed to grow to Godhood.

Unfortunately for Somonax, the catalyst it needed to complete its growth was far too rare, the Divine Spark of a God. And a God that aligned with its main Domains, Fire and War. However, such Gods were far too powerful for it to deal with, considering that most of the Gods with such Domains were Major Gods, and the few Minor Gods that possessed such Domains were rare, and it was unlikely for them to have that as a main Domain.

Leon opened the door and walked over to the Divine Fragment that bathed the room in an eerie red glow. He cracked his knuckled and sat down in front of it, before allowing his mind to sink into the Divine Fragment. Unlike Umbra, because of how long Somonax had been dead, with his soul sealed, he could not instantly turn him into a summon, but had to do it just like he did with Corrun.

The moment Leon's mind descended into the space within the Divine Fragment, he was surrounded by flames.

"WHO DARES INTRUDE?!" A powerful voice boomed and Leon looked around. The flames died, allowing him to clearly see his surroundings.

The sky was covered with dark clouds and ash rained down. Volcanoes dotted the landscape, releasing a constant haze of black smoke into the sky. Lakes of lava lined the earth for the entirety of Leon's vision, and the earth was blackened.

BOOM!

A giant being landed some distance from Leon, causing the volcano behind him to spew out hot magma. The earth shattered and lava from the lakes of lava was thrown into the air as well.

Leon took in the four armed giant with a look of intrigue. He could feel the powerful aura radiating off Somonax. He was leagues stronger than Umbra. The gap between them was like the earth and the sky. Leon was sure that even his summons would lose in a one on one against the four armed giant.

"Who are you? Puny skeleton?" Somonax's voice boomed as he tilted his head and looked down at Leon. "Leave this instant or face my wrath."

"I am here to discuss some things with you. It would be nice if you did not try to chase me off immediately." Leon said calmly.
