The Black Necromancer

Chapter 276 [Bonus Chapter] Divine Power

Crack!

The sound was very crisp and clear despite the loud roar of hundreds of spells of various strengths being hurled through the air.

Crack!

Garrix hurled his hand out and flung away the Infinity Cube just before the cracks around its surface lit up with golden-white light.

Bang!

An explosion of immense proportions shook the earth as all the spells that had been hurled out by Garrix's secret army finally hit their marks, slamming into the defenses erected by Leonidas and the others.

A hazy cloud of smoke and other dangerous substances, that had been released by the spells of the Demons and Undead, hung in the air. But Garrix was less focused on that at the moment. His focus was on the floating Infinity Cube which glowed brightly with a cracked filled exterior.

Bang!

Another loud explosion shook the surrounding area as the Infinity Cube was forced to release Leon, or else it would have been destroyed. It quickly shrunk down and retreated into Garrix's open hand, where he stashed it away.

"I didn't expect you to break out from something even Peak A ranks struggle to resist." Garrix said in a muted tone, as he had been humbled by Leon's feats on multiple occasions.

"You should not be surprised at this point. With my track record, you should always expect the best from me." Leon replied as he emerged from the cloud of mana charged smoke that his escape had created.

When he emerged from the cloud of smoke, everyone was taken aback. He was clad in his usual black armor, but a white light shone out of the black armor, giving him a somewhat glamorous effect.

The air around Leon was literally burning as a foreign power surged through his core and all of the invisible mana channels that had been carved through his bones over his extensive usage of mana.

Leon held up his fist and clenched it, surprised at what he was feeling. Before he had been able to escape, he had tried to use Holy energy to fight against his bindings, but suddenly, an old Title that had been mostly useless to him ever since he got it had suddenly activated.

[Your Title, <God's Disciple>, is in effect!]

The line of information was simple, but the effects that the Title granted him were so exaggerated that even he struggled to believe it. He had gone from using Holy energy to using Divinity in one fell swoop, something he had never been able to achieve outside of Michael's temple!

"Argh..." Garrix felt a wave of Divinity pulse around Leon, and even though this Divinity was still far from him, he was barely able to stand it. He could feel his bones begin to corrode as it withstood the powerful energy that Leon was emanating.

'This... This is not Holy energy! It is much worse!' Garrix belatedly realized and ordered his troops to retreat. He also turned around and prepared to flee, but Leon was not going to give him that chance.

The world seemed to slow in Leon's perception as he reached into his core and felt the Divinity swirling within it. As much as it was just one, it was also not one. It was as if white and black were swirling together, so different, yet so similar at the same time.

Leon took hold of that swirling Divinity and pulled it out of his core. It was only just a little bit, but that little bit was so overwhelmingly powerful that the very space around Leon was instantly shattered by that superior power.

The mana in the surrounding area reacted to Leon's Divinity, urged by his desire to wipe out this army and make sure that no news of what had happened here got out. The space itself was set on fire, blazing with white flames as it cut off any path of escape from the Demons and Undead beings that served Garrix.

"No!" Garrix felt a life threatening power rise from Leon, and his instincts immediately screamed for him to flee. However, he was not able to flee, so the next best thing was to muster up his power to stand against Leon. "I do not believe that you are able to kill me so easily!"

Garrix exploded with all his power, creating a haze of darkness around him. A black fire lit up underneath his armor, mixing with the explosive red that was always there. He reached his arm forward as he launched his strongest attack. This time, he did not summon his blade, for he did not need one this time.

A blade formed from his pure willpower and mana was formed, giant and huge, hanging in the air. Its pit was shining with black and red light as it was charged full of Garrix's mana.

"EAT MY BLADES!!!" He roared and a thousand more sword of all sizes and shapes appeared around the first one, before they all shot forward at once, tearing through space like it was nothing, and appearing in front of Leon.

However, Leon stood, like a God, staring at the attack like it was nothing more than the buzz of a fly, and raised his hand. The world moved according to his will, and the mana that made up Garrix's attack was snuffed out like a candle flame by a gust of wind.

The imposing attack that could surely wipe out a small city like Fort White with ease, was completely snuffed out, with not even a tiny trace of it left. The sight froze up Garrix as he stared in horror.

'Th-this is what my master wanted me to capture? I see... He must have lost all use for me and sent me to my death... There is no way...' Garrix's aura shook wildly as his confidence in himself was crumbled and scattered in the wind by Leon's overwhelming power.

The flames in his skull blazed one last time before Leon waved his arm, and everything in his path was erased, like someone wiping water from a window.
