387 “How about we become friends?”
Zi Han honestly thought it would be very easy to escape this place but he was very wrong. It seemed this so-called great auntie of his made sure her bar only had one entrance and one exit which wasn’t up to code in case of fire emergencies.
Zi Han stood on top of the toilet and looked outside but the window was too small even for him. It looked like the only person who might fit would be a toddler.
“Damnit,” he swore before getting down. He push the stall door open and said, “Iggy, how am I supposed to get out of here?”
“Through the front door,” said Igneous and Zi Han replied,
“I wish it was that simple.”
Zi Han reached the booth Raya was sitting at and sat down in a careless manner as he sighed. He took a casual glance at secretary K and saw that he was sitting in one of the booths his expression gloomy like he had withstood a great tribulation. That’s because his perfect hair was being butchered by the butcher. As expected this woman’s license was probably bought or something because she couldn’t cut hair even if it was to save her life.
Zi Han stuck out his tongue at Secretary K but the man didn’t react at all. He remained gloomy with a thick grey cloud hovering above his head clearly expressing his mood.
Zi Han heard the person sitting next to him chuckle. “You are so cute,” said Raya and Zi Han’s eyes widened.
“I am not cute. Cute is for puppies,” he said with a humph.
.....
Raya laughed and said, “You are so funny. I can’t even tell you are the same person who put those people in their place. You are as cute as a button and deadly at the same time. So cool.”
Zi Han, “...”
“You can say that but I still won’t be interested,” said Zi Han and Raya was a little surprised.
“What do you mean? You aren’t interested in being my friend?” he asked and Zi Han narrowed his eyes a little puzzled. Wait did he know this was like a blind date? From the looks of it, he might not know.
“You do realise this was meant to be a blind date, right?” he asked and Raya’s eyes widened. He couldn’t believe it.
He had no idea this was a setup but in truth, he did find Zi Han very attractive. He was an entire package. Tall, handsome with eyes so enchanting they could snatch someone’s soul. His voice, his humour, his everything was to Raya’s liking. He thought knowing this icon wouldn’t be so bad but it turns out this was a blind date.
Raya rested his chin on his elbow while looking at Zi Han and said, “Really? How fascinating. It seems your mother is as controlling as mine.”
Zi Han who did think his mother had gone too far still couldn’t trash talk her behind her back thus he said, “It’s not like that. She is just looking out for me.”
Raya leaned back and said, “They say that but it’s still messed up. My mother set me with a girl despite me telling her my preferences. At least your mother listens to you. She at least got the gender right.”
“Well, she did... but,” he said only to stop talking when his light brain buzzed. Zi Han took a look and when he saw the images Yi Chen sent to him he pressed his lips into a thin line suppressing a smile.
“What? Is it something good?” asked Raya noticing that smile he was trying to conceal from the world. This was the second time he had seen that smile.
“It’s nothing. Just my friend sending a couple of pictures,” said Zi Han while typing a response.
Unknown2: Give me twenty more minutes and I will slip away.
Unknown2: The windows are too small and there is only one entrance.
Zi Han finished typing and glanced at secretary K. Twenty minutes was too long for him. He just wanted to leave now. He had been waiting so long to see his angel with wings.
Unknown: The food will get cold.
Unknown: What are you doing there anyway?
Zi Han was about to respond when Raya asked, “You seem to have friends already. I mean each time you look at your light brain you seem so happy.”
Zi Han who was indeed happy said, “I did have a lot of friends but after the whole incident I didn’t dare link up with them because I don’t want them to get into trouble. But I kept one friend and I am trying to meet up with him.”
Raya shrugged his lips but he felt a little stuffy inside. Even if this was nothing like a blind date he thought Zi Han would at least give him some attention and give them the opportunity to develop some sort of friendship considering that they would be interacting more than he interacts with his old friends.
Raya’s smile was a little stiff as he responded, “I can help you slip away. If that’s what you want.”
Zi Han’s eyes beamed. He asked, “Really? Then will you tell my mother that we hung out the entire time and that you don’t like me?”
Raya licked his lips as he leaned back in his chair. He suggested it but he didn’t really think Zi Han would take him up on that offer. “What about Secretary K? Won’t he tattle on you?” he asked but Zi Han smirked while glancing at Secretary K.
“Oh, he won’t say shit,” he said while glancing at that butchered head of hair.
Secretary K felt shivers down his spine when he met those eyes. How can he be terrified of a little man half his age?
Zi Han was so frightening. “I can tell her that under one condition,” said Raya and Zi Han glanced at him wondering what he could possibly ask for in return.
“Which is?” he asked and Raya tapped his chin as though thinking.
“How about we become friends? Today’s mission was amazing and I would love to do more of those with you,” he said and his words were spoken from the heart. From this little interaction, he knew that he wanted to hang out more with this icon. Who knows, maybe they could become friends, really nice friends.
