Tales Of The Mighty Dragonair
Chapter 8 - Moving Towards The Forest To TrainRon said,"girl," in a suggestive tone to indicate another meaning. Arthur wasn't a young man that was too shy to speak about or with women. Arthur had a long intense history with them.
He knew Madly's personality from first glance and managed to see through her like translucent glass with no impurities.
He knew that Madly would grow to be a fine lady with a fiery temper that he himself would hesitate to make her angry.
Everyone would think twice before they considered crossing her as her death glares made Arthur shiver in anticipation.
Madly was the type of girl that was simply a nightmare to any man, and it would be better to let her go and avoid getting near her if possible.
However Arthur knew that this type of girl was one of his weaknesses, which were mostly focused around women.
Madly only lacked a taste of elegance, if she had this touch then he would instantly fall for her as nothing would stop him seducing her.
Although this small and minimal detail made all the difference, so he replied at once,"she is just one of my crew."
"And what is this crew exactly?" Ron asked again as he felt his best friend was trying to evade the most important question.
"My crew will just be the beginning of what I have planned," Arthur vaguely replied.
"Beginning for what? And how can this be the answer?! I want an explanation! I demand one!" Ron was getting impatient with the new temper and manners of his best friend.
Arthur sensed his impatience and felt his worry and concern over him, so he leaned towards him as he whispered,"I can't say much as we haven't crossed the forest yet.
All I can tell you is what I'm planning to do is something massive, life changing, and like anything of that caliber and scale, the less people that know my plan the better, right?"
Ron looked deeply into Arthur's eyes before he settled his troubled mind and shaked his head as he muttered,"I don't know friend, was this disease a blessing for you or a curse?"
Arthur sat straight again,Ron was not aware that he had been poisoned and he didn't want to tell as it could put him in danger.
For some time Arthur watched Regil collect more arrows with some strange energy vibrating on his old body.
Arthur decided to try and give Ron some peace of mind as he mumbled, "I don't know friend, I hope it's a blessing and not heaven's revenge."
There was a slam, Regil didn't notice as he was focused on arranging the arrows, Madly slammed the door with her five gang friends behind her. As the land belonged to a non mage family it was to spot those who have the talent, like Ron and Madly.
However right now there were five more, which made the number of the little crew jump from three to eight, Arthur concluded.
"Seven accomplices, seven is a great number, I'm feeling good regarding this," Arthur muttered when he saw the new faces who were curious to see the man who asked to meet them.
"Listen, as I told you I have lost a bet with this idiot here and so I have to work for him for a while. If you don't want to follow us, then it's alright, no one will blame you," Madly loudly said, addressing her little gang.
"A bet or a fight?" one of the five said with a teasing sneer that made Madly's face change and turn bright red from embarrassment.
The gang knew that when Madly's face ever turned a shade of red then it meant that the person who pissed her off could be dead in seconds.
The little boy that annoyed Madly knew this so he sprinted to hide behind the bigger boy next to him. He hoped that he could use him as a shield of protection.
The boy he hid behind was tall with large muscles and his bushy hair gave the impression that he was a young man.
Though he looked older than Arthur he felt that they were the same age because of the side effects of the powers that the boy had.
"Hold it Madly, I believe they already watched the fight, right?" Arthur said as he stood up from his seat and moved towards the newcomers.
"If we follow you will we be able to learn what you did to beat Madly?" The shortest and with the weakest body out of them spoke with great enthusiasm. His body was slim and he looked in better shape than Arthur.
"No problem, just follow me and you won't regret it. May you introduce yourselves first? My name is Ar…..Willy, your Golden Lion young master, and here is my best friend Ron. What about you?"
Arthur was about to make a mistake when saying his real name, but he hurriedly corrected that mistake which was unnoticed to everyone, except for Ron. However Ron didn't speak up or even glance at Arthur with any doubt, he decided to wait and judge later.
"Good, I'm Drago and I'm not from here," the shortest one said.
"I'm lily, and I love to use bows," the one who spoke first and escaped to hide behind that big guy was actually a girl. Arthur didn't care if they were boys or girls because he knew what mattered was only strength.
"I'm Tarry," another guy said with a harsh tone and thick accent.
"Don't mind him, he isn't actually from around here at all. Sometimes I doubt he is a human like us. Sorry, I didn't introduce myself to you, I'm…" said a handsome looking boy. Arhur got the impression that he loved to talk much and his friends knew this about him, so the last one pushed him to the side as he was the tallest one there.
"He is Ouly, our philosopher and dark assassin fighter, as for me I'm a swordsman and my name is Edwar."
Arthur smiled to all of them before saying:
"It's my pleasure to meet you, and now," he then moved towards Regil who was still collecting nearly all the arrows in his shop, "we have to go, we spent much time here."
Regil stopped what he was doing as he sighed, he hoped he could bring enough arrows to this young master to use. Arthur felt his desire for help, and it was sincere so he patted his shoulder as he said,"don't worry, I will look after her."
Regil smiled as tears began to build up in his eyes while he was watching the eight people leave his shop and disappear behind other shops. He left the market place to watch them walk into the forest until they vanished from his eyesight.
Regil was starting to feel worried as he felt that over two thousand arrows would not be enough. All he could do was hope that travel would go by unnoticed and that they would not get themselves in severe danger.
He didn't know what this young master wanted to do, but he was sure whatever it was it must be something big.
Regil hoped his granddaughter would be patient and stick with Willy to the end of the road, as it would be regrettable to let this chance slip by.
