Supreme Couple In Apocalypse: Undead King & Demonic Queen

Chapter 58 Delirious Dungeon (3/3), Otherworldly Phenomenon

58 Delirious Dungeon (3/3), Otherworldly Phenomenon

After entering the following passage quickly, the mist slowly dispersed and revealed a garden with a small pond in the center.

However, the strange thing was that there was only a single passage leading further in this section, while the passage they came from was buried by the mystical grass maze wall like usual.

That single passage was strange because it looked similar to the entrance of the dungeon, meaning that it was likely an exit.

The trio felt foreboding in this closed garden's silent and reinvigorated yet bizarre atmosphere, but it was natural. Fear of the unknown was always present in everyone, but for Rin and Erix, such a foreboding didn't last long.

Both Rin and Erix curiously looked at the pond.

Isabella put her hand on her heart and took a deep breath. "Am I the only one feeling palpitation?"

"We really entered one hell of a dungeon," Erix wryly smiled as he approached the pond.

Rin and Isabella also followed.

"An exit may not be an end, but the end might bring you a surprise, and surprise is all you need," Rin repeated the tip texts they saw when they arrived in the dungeon.

"So it says we need a surprise, but... do we really need it?" Isabella said as she saw her reflection in the pond after leaning forward.

Suddenly that reflection transformed into a creepy red-skinned demoness with an ugly, rotten face that resembled hers!

Isabella was startled as she screamed and backed away.

"What happened?" Rin and Erix were startled.

"My reflection…" Isabella took a deep breath to calm her already fast-beating heart that sped due to that incident. "My reflection transformed into something scary, sigh… sorry for the scream."

"It's fine. Anyway, what I am sure is that we shouldn't enter that passage that looks like an exit," Erix pointed at the passage.

"Then where do we go?" Isabella asked.

"Hey, look!" Rin called the other two upon seeing changes in the pond.

The still water in the pond was a mixed shining silver aura shaping into texts.

[ Take a leap of faith or exit the maze by entering the last passage. ]

"Leap of faith? Does it mean we jump in this pond?" Isabella muttered. "No way, right?"

"I like leaps of faith," Erix calmly said as his lips curved into a smile. "If this is a choice, I want to choose it."

In the first place, Erix wanted to jump on the pond when they arrived here because it was the only thing that mattered in this garden. As for the exit passage, he didn't even consider it because of the Tip text.

"Isabella-sis," Rin turned to Isabella. "How about taking the leap with us?"

Isabella looked at Erix and Rin, but her inner turmoil didn't last long as she released a long sigh and helplessly smiled, "It's insane, but…I strangely have lots of fun with you two."

Rin and Erix smiled.

The things Isabella had done so far after the calamity occurred were more than she had ever done in her entire life, which was mostly spent staying holed up in the village.

After meeting Rin and Erix, she always wanted to stay and adventure with them because staying with them caused her to feel the excitement, thrill, and exhilaration she never felt before. She also trusted them as they became closest to her because everyone she knew died in the village.

Even though she had fear mixed within her feelings, she still wanted to experience a new life with them.

They were like bright lights to her eyes, and she couldn't help but get attracted to them!

"I want you two to know that whatever happens in the future, I'll never regret meeting with you two," Isabella smiled and grabbed their hands.

"So, I am also ready to take this leap of faith."

All her fear vanished at this moment, and a bright smile shaped on her beautiful face.

Erix laughed and said, "Well then, let's jump on the count of three."

"Three."

"Two."

"One."

*Splash!*

When their feet touched the water, a strange force pulled them with irresistible power, and darkness overwhelmed their vision.

Their mind went blank shortly before they found themselves in a new world.

A world of an endless and beautiful sea, yet lively and full of life. Flying above the uncountable islands and myriad creatures, they experienced bliss and exhilaration as an otherwordly comfort overtook their mind and body.

They could only passively experience this new world while their body moved independently.

They saw humans living on the islands; they saw exotic flying creatures, sea beasts, dragons, phoenixes,... All sorts of creatures they heard about, and even those they couldn't have imagined if they didn't see them.

But this was only the start of their otherwordly journey.

In the same forest was a mountain range at the end where a long black haired captivating woman wearing a layered black dress with exquisite dark blue and dark orange embroidery design sat on a rock atop the tallest mountain's peak, exuding a carefree and peaceful aura around her.

Her gaze was in the same direction where the Maze of Grand Weed was located as her lips shaped into a small smile.

"Tenebria, that's unfair and overboard. You shouldn't create a dungeon in the first place, but you even put your faction's journey pond in there."

A voice rang around her, but no being was visible anywhere on that mountain peak.

"Don't tell me what to do and what not to. If you want to complain, go ahead."

"You know it's up to them if they want to join your faction WHEN the time comes. I'm afraid they won't be impressed."

Tenebria just smiled in response.

Her silence seems to have triggered the other person into throwing another mockery.

"It appears your desperation stems from your faction's last-place ranking. A sore point, isn't it?"

"Whatever you say," Tenebria uncaringly uttered, a peaceful smile still on her face.

"Well then, suit yourself because I have better candidates than you. You didn't even roam this world to look at others and just decided on these three. Heh, no wonder your faction is dying. How many are even left there?"

"That's why I kicked you out," Tenebria rolled her eyes. "I like surprises, unlike you. I coincidentally noticed them because I arrived here first, and I like them. Simple as that."

"I still don't know why you suddenly changed that day and expelled me, but I've grown beyond caring about it. Wait for the penalty because it's coming soon."

"Your predictability is underwhelming," Tenebria quipped, her expression unchanged.
