Chapter 477: Chapter 471: Going Home

To put it bluntly, it’s about laying things out in the open to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.

“No, you don’t understand what this type of chip means to us. We, of course, have to take it very seriously. Also, there’s one more thing: make up your mind as soon as possible. You should know that the higher-ups have been shouldering a lot for you lately. If not, there would have been countless leaders from various provinces seeking you out,” Jack Lewis said.

“Alright, I understand. I’ve made up my mind. I want to build the factory in the Manchester area,” Finn Lewis immediately replied.

“The Manchester area?” Jack Lewis repeated, sounding a bit surprised. From any perspective, choosing the Manchester area is not exactly an ideal choice.

“Yes, I plan to fly there tomorrow and select the site for the factory,” Finn said.

Such matters should also be decided as soon as possible: the sooner they act, the sooner they can start.

“Alright then, I will inform the folks in Inner Mongolia. That’s it then. If there is nothing else, I will hang up,” Jack Lewis said.

What else could Finn have to deal with? After hanging up, he returned to the living room. The press conference had also ended. The impacts of this press conference would be revealed in due course. However, Finn currently had one thing on his plate to handle, and that was about the chip factory.

“So, are you busy tomorrow?” Finn sat down in the living room and asked his companion, Kay Lee.

“Nothing special. Why do you ask? Need me to accompany you somewhere?” Kay shook her head.

“Yes, come with me to Inner Mongolia tomorrow. We need to choose the site for the Galaxy Chip Factory,” Finn said with a smile.

“Ah,” Kay was taken aback. She then stood up, looking nervous and uneasy, and said, “Um, is that a good idea?”

“What’s wrong with it?” Finn was puzzled by Kay’s reaction and asked, somewhat confused.

“Well… If we’re going there, you will surely visit your family, won’t you?” Kay watched Finn carefully while saying so.

Finn immediately laughed upon realizing the reason for Kay’s nervousness. Smiling, he took her hand, stroked her head, and said, “Of course we will visit my family. The ‘ugly bride’ has to meet her in-laws eventually. Are you telling me you will never meet them?”

“But… But… I’m not ready yet… Wait, who are you calling ugly?” Kay swung a fist at Finn once she realized what he had just said.

“Ha-ha! If the shoe fits… How dare you counter attack me! See, I’m going to tickle you now,” Finn immediately reached out to tickle Kay under her arm.

“Stop… Haha… Please, no. I’m ticklish,” Kay started giggling and twisting her body as soon as Finn touched her, her hands pushing against Finn’s.

“Hey, hey, hey! You two, enough!” Sarah sat on the side watching this, her mouth agape. “Can’t you see there’s someone else here too? You should pick an appropriate time and place to express your affection!”

At Sarah’s words, Finn’s face turned red. He had completely forgotten about her, engrossed in teasing Kay. However, thinking about Sarah, Finn felt somewhat depressed. When would she finally leave? Suddenly, he felt like making Sarah Kay’s agent was his biggest mistake.

This is not an agent, but a gigantic light bulb hovering overhead!

“I’m telling you, as someone from a decorated military family, do you feel it’s appropriate to act as Kay’s agent?” Finn asked Sarah.

“What do you mean by that?” Sarah gave Finn a fierce look.

“Never mind. Can’t you see it? Why don’t you go home now and give us some space?” Finn felt rather irritated.

“Dream on. I know exactly what you’re up to. I won’t give you a chance! Let’s go, Kay. Time to head home,” Sarah stood up, took Kay’s hand, and declared.

Kay was too shy to refute Sarah and could only follow her lead.

Seeing the two of them leaving his house, Finn could only look towards the sky and sigh. He couldn’t possibly say outright, “I want some intimate moments with Kay, so stop messing around!” Not to mention Sarah, even Kay wouldn’t agree if he said that.

“What’s with your resentful face?” Sarah blurted out after they had left Finn’s villa and entered the small space between their respective villas. Kay was clearly not too happy, and this irritated Sarah.

“Well, what do you think? What are we going back to the villa for? There’s nothing to do, and it’s still morning,” Kay said resignedly.

“Who said there’s nothing to do, sweetheart? There are lots of things for you to do. Tomorrow you’re going to meet his parents. Are you planning to bring a gift? Let’s go shopping for gifts later. Even though his family certainly doesn’t lack anything, the gift would symbolize our intentions,” Sarah quickly said.

When the topic of gifts was brought up, Kay immediately tensed up. “You’re right. But what should I get? Health products?”

“Health products? Look at where we are, in the Moon of West Lake! Do you really think his parents need anything? And they certainly don’t need health products. A selection of tea leaves will do. Why not buy clothes, or even jewelry?” Sarah suggested after thinking for a moment.

“Uh-huh, let’s get ready and head out,” Kay quickly agreed.

“Now do you still resent me for dragging you out?” Sarah said in a teasing voice, looking at Kay.

“You’re annoying!” Kay’s face turned slightly red, and she playfully pushed Sarah aside.

“Alright, silly girl, hurry up and get your things. We are heading out. This is one of the most significant moments in your life,” Sarah said while tidying Kay’s hair with a laugh.

Finn had no idea what Kay and Sarah were planning to buy. Still, Kay did ask him about his family and their relatives, and for some pictures, which Finn did not deny. For Kay’s first visit, bringing gifts was typical even if the family didn’t need anything. Otherwise, Kay would probably be too scared to even go.

These were trivial matters and Finn didn’t mind. He told Kay everything she asked. As for concerns about the private jet, he wasn’t worried – a phone call could sort that out. The contract with Spring and Autumn Airlines was nearly finalized, which probably had a lot to do with Finn’s exposure. Their negotiations had been slow before.

The next morning, Finn, Kay, and two others headed to the airport to catch a private jet. As for why there were four people, well, Fishy Wells certainly needed to come. Even though she was currently serving as Finn’s personal assistant, she had started handling some work-related matters. Fishy helped Finn with many work-related chores, for instance, dealing with some issues between Jason Wells’ trading company and other domestic firms that required Finn’s attention. Finn would usually pass all these matters to Fishy.
