Chapter 573: Divine Weapon Crafting
There was no doubt that merging together too many different objects was dangerous. An exotic beast of the Demon Race, the Blood Crystal from the Assassin Sect, the Zerohammer of a nameless Celestial Artificer, and the mysterious law energy within the Zerohammer.
What would the Blood Crystal become once these four elements were brought together? Perhaps only the gods would know.
Xia Fei smiled. “There’s no need to think about it. Let’s get started. I’m looking forward to seeing what the result of bringing together all these things will be.”
Oro nodded. “Not just you; I’m also rather excited. I’ve lived for so long, but I’ve never tried such an insane combination to create a weapon. Interesting. Truly interesting.”
There was a switch on the back of the Celestial Zerohammer. Xia Fei followed Oro’s instructions and stood there. Above his head was something that looked like a transparent umbrella with some unknown functions.
“Listen closely. Once the Zerohammer activates, don’t panic no matter what happens around you. The spatial protection system over your head will protect you. It can guarantee that the operator of the Zerohammer will be completely unharmed. Once it’s done crafting, the weapon will be sent through a special passage into your hand. Once you have it, immediately press that red button. The entire space will collapse, and you will be sent back to where you come from,” Oro said.
Xia Fei frowned. “This space will collapse?”
“Of course! This dimension was built for the sake of the Zerohammer’s frenzied strike, for the purpose of building a supreme weapon. All of this was built for the sake of a single weapon. When your weapon is crafted, all of it will disappear, dust to dust and dirt to dirt.”
Xia Fei found it hard to describe in words his excitement. This mysterious dimension and this incredibly powerful Zerohammer had probably taken up more than half the life of that unknown Celestial Artificer. A master Celestial Artificer had lived his entire life seeking to build a weapon, but now, that opportunity was Xia Fei’s! Just this thought left Xia Fei feeling incredibly excited.
Taking one last glance at this vast hidden dimension, Oro sternly said, “If not for that strange attack of yours, we would’ve never gotten the chance to witness the activation of a Celestial Zerohammer. Let alone you; even I haven’t seen one before. Please don’t turn off your spatial ring. I must witness what sort of awesome sight the activation of a Celestial Zerohammer creates!
“The only ones ever able to witness this scene are the Celestial Artificers. Xia Fei, this time, I’m the one benefitting from your presence.”
Xia Fei said nothing. Not even a Great Demon Overlord like Oro had seen the activation of a Celestial Zerohammer before? Besides excitement, Xia Fei also felt plenty of anxiety.
In front of him were two solid alloy handrails. In the middle was a red button and a green button. Oro explained, “Remember this: Green is activation; you can only press the red one once you have your weapon. If you press it too early, you’ll be sent out before you can get the final product.
“In addition, the vibrations will be very, very bad, because the Celestial Zerohammer will use this entire dimension as its energy starter. The scale of the energy is equivalent to ten thousand grade 4 Origin Crystals! No matter how difficult things get, you can’t let go, or else you’ll be tossed into a chaotic space!”
Xia Fei was stunned!
Utterly stunned!
Activating the Celestial Zerohammer required using the dimension as energy! The equivalent of ten thousand grade 4 crystals! This was such an enormous amount of energy that Xia Fei was momentarily unable to calculate it!
What a formidable Celestial Artificer! What a wondrous Zerohammer!
Suppressing his excitement, he stored Oro’s ice coffin in his ring, but he did not close the ring so that Oro could also bear witness to the wondrous sight of the Celestial Zerohammer activating.
The liquid war armor Silver Desert activated, and Xia Fei cautiously moved Furball under the protection of the armor.
Once all this was done, Xia Fei let out a breath. One hand grabbed a handrail while the other hand lightly pressed that green button.
*Pa!*
With a crisp click, the Celestial Zerohammer activated!
Green lightning began to orbit the giant hammer, making it appear as if it truly were the hammer of the thunder god!
On the giant anvil beneath the hammer was the Blood Crystal and the pink-white egg which was the offspring of the Empress Spider and the Pastel King Ice Spider.
Everything was ready. Once the hammer swung down, a divine weapon would be created!
The electricity surrounding the hammer grew stronger and stronger, becoming so bright that it was difficult to look at. After ten-some minutes of waiting, the light finally reached maximum brightness, and the hammer flew up in the air!
*Whoosh~*
As this heavy hammer flew higher and higher, Xia Fei could not help but grow afraid. If this sort of giant hammer smashed down, the impact would be impossible to describe with words! The damage would undoubtedly be devastating!
At a height of ten thousand meters above the surface, the Zerohammer finally stopped.
Suddenly—
The hammer began to accelerate toward the anvil on the ground!
It let out such a keening and savage howl that it could burst eardrums!
Suddenly, lightning flashed, thunder rumbled, and dark clouds gathered! Not even the end of the world could compare to this!
*Rumble!*
The Zerohammer plunged in a straight line. No, this was not a plunge but a smash, instead!
As if some giant being had gripped the hammer and then swung it on the ground, its momentum was enough to tear apart the skies!
A hurricane ripped through the hidden dimension, and Xia Fei held tightly onto the handrails, not daring to be careless.
With such a powerful strike, there was no telling if this dimension really might be smashed down into a pulp!
Just when the Zerohammer was about to land, the egg left behind by the Empress Spider and the Pastel Ice King Spider began to move!
The earth shuddered, and the pink-white egg trembled with it.
Xia Fei stared at the egg in shock. Had the imminent threat caused this strange demonic beast to hatch early?
If the monster in the egg hatched and managed to escape before the Zerohammer came down, all of Xia Fei’s efforts would be for naught!
Without a powerful exotic beast to serve as a primer, the Celestial Zerohammer would never be able to forge a supreme divine weapon!
On one hand, Xia Fei was worried that the demonic beast would run and ruin his plan to forge a divine weapon; on the other hand, Xia Fei was very curious to see what this demonic beast would look like; the offspring of two powerful Ice Spiders would be very strong, right?
As he was randomly thinking, cracks began to appear on the pink-white shell.
*Bang!*
The demonic beast pushed its head through the shell and shot Xia Fei a sinister gaze. It was still so small, but its eyes were already so sharp that Xia Fei felt like the death god was peering at him. His body shivered.
“Awooo!”
At this moment, Furball howled!
The demonic beast’s eyes had left Xia Fei dizzy, but Furball’s challenging howl pulled Xia Fei back!
Truly the holy beast Shatterstar!
Though this demonic beast was powerful, its gaze so sharp, Furball’s frenzied roar scared it straight! It immediately drew its head back into its shell!
Xia Fei was instantly brought to his senses by Furball’s heart-rending roar, and that demonic beast cowered in its shell out of fear and did not run away. At that moment, the giant Zerohammer fell!
*Rumble!*
There was a giant rush of air, and Xia Fei was blown off his feet as if he were standing behind a jet engine!
As the gale roared, a dazzling fire ignited!
A sea of gorgeous golden sparks engulfed the dimension!
Xia Fei tightly gripped the handrails, the Silver Desert armor protecting him. The situation was truly too terrifying. Even Furball, that heartless fellow, had stopped moving, curling up into a ball and nervously clinging onto Xia Fei.
The dimension began to become strange and twisted, the mountains ascended to the sky as the sky descended to his feet.
Xia Fei’s eyes widened in disbelief. The dimension had become numerous shards which were being stuffed into the Zerohammer like pieces of cloth.
This was the energy source for the Zerohammer. It was like a black hole, absorbing this entire dimension in order to perform the law infusion.
Suddenly, black smoke emerged from the bottom of the hammer. Even space was being drawn into the Zerohammer, yet this black smoke was drifting away. It did not make sense at all.
“What’s going on? Xia Fei, did you forget something? Is there something weird being mixed in?” Oro urgently called, his voice brimming with confusion.
Xia Fei was startled. He truly had forgotten something: the Blood Crystal had been modified by him using the Law of Primal Chaos!
The original Blood Crystal was only able to suck human blood; now, it could suck the blood of anyone, be it an ancient dragon or the master of the universe!
This abnormal black smoke gushing out, could it be the work of the Law of Primal Chaos?!
Xia Fei was rather shocked. The Law of Primal Chaos’s disruptive force was heaven-defying, and if it caused some twist in the crafting process, Xia Fei would not even know how to cry. After all, it was his Law of Primal Chaos that caused this development.
The situation continued to worsen, the hidden dimension seemingly arriving at its doomsday, lightning flashing and thunder rumbling as a deafening howl resounded in his ears!
Xia Fei had to use 120% of his strength to hold onto the handrails and ensure his survival in this chaotic dimension. Meanwhile, the spatial protection above him was slowly beginning to lose effect.
However, there was a limit to the energy. The Law of Primal Chaos complicated the crafting process to ten times more than Oro initially calculated!
If Xia Fei did not hold tightly onto the handrails, he would definitely be lost in this dimension and, thus, lose his life!
His fingers were working overtime, the heavy handrails deforming under his grip! The situation was dire! If Xia Fei lost his grip or the handrails broke, he would be doomed.
A normal person might have been unable to continue, but Xia Fei was not afraid, for he had one of the Thirty Immemorial Mystical Armaments, Peacock Blue!
*Whoosh~*
The world’s most tenacious and stubborn grass emerged, two giant blue grass blades tightly wrapping themselves around the sturdy metal pillars of the handrails, tying Xia Fei to them!
‘No matter the storm, I will stand tall!’
Let alone the destruction of this dimension, with Peacock Blue’s tenacity, he could withstand a disaster which was ten times worse without a problem. This was the power of Peacock Blue!
The crafting process took much longer than Oro anticipated. This was because Xia Fei had accidentally mixed in the Law of Primal Chaos, the unstable element of subversive power!
Xia Fei spent two hours within this chaotic dimension!
Two Beast Kings’ offspring of the Demon Race, a nameless Celestial Artificer’s Zerohammer, the Blood Crystal of the Assassin Sect, the high-ranking law which had torn this hidden dimension to shreds, and finally, the reversal energy of the Law of Primal Chaos. These five elements merging together had created a calamity!
What form would the weapon reborn in this calamity take? What abilities would it have?
The terrifying chaos finally subsided.
*THUD!* A weapon slid out from a hidden tunnel.
Xia Fei quickly grabbed it.
