Chapter 77 Certification

"Boss Chen, if you’re gonna bring this dagger around, it’s better to get an antique certification for it. You can then put it in your bag and get on a plane without any issue."

"Can I get the certification here?"

"I can’t do it, but I have connections to get it done, just that it won’t be authentic enough to dupe those antique dealers."

Chen Fan gave it a thought before saying, "Make it a Qing Dynasty one, a value of 20,000 RMB will do. No one will believe it if the amount is too high."

"Alright!" The plump owner took out a digital camera and placed the dagger on a piece of white paper before snapping two pictures. "One more thing, if you’re taking it on a plane, make sure you don’t leave the country, otherwise it will be confiscated by the security officers."

"Umm, when can you get it done?" Chen Fan nodded as a form of acknowledgment.

The owner laughed, "It’ll be ready tomorrow. I’ll get someone to send it over to you."

After promptly passing 8,000 RMB to the owner, Chen Fan walked out with the dagger feeling satisfied. It was better not to bring a gun around unless absolutely necessary, but it was different in the case of a dagger, especially one which had an antique certification as a cover-up. Even if it was discovered by the police, they could not confiscate it as they pleased.

After getting home, Chen Fan laid on the couch in his bedroom gazing at the dagger, and his thoughts started drifting. If someone was to say that the dagger was one of the top ten magical weapons in ancient times, the ’Kunwu Sword’ that Pangu’s spine turned into, only a lunatic would believe it. But if someone was to say that it was the ’Kunwu knife’ used by Emperor Mu of the Zhou Dynasty to cut jade, although Chen Fan would also scoff at it, he still had a tiny bit of wishful thinking deep down inside.

With today’s standard of forging, it was extremely difficult to cut jade as if it were clay, let alone make a sword using the smelting techniques during ancient times. However, this dagger greatly challenged Chen Fan’s cognitive view. It had been immersed in the corrosive seawater for close to two hundred years. Not only was it undamaged, even stabbing through a steel sheet did not leave any mark on it.

"Who cares?" The dagger was in his hands and there were plenty of chances for him to study this in the future. So be it if he couldn’t figure it out. Chen Fan sat in front of the computer and logged into level 80 of the game which he had just spent money to attain. At noon the next day, the owner called Chen Fan to inform him that the antique certification had been done and then asked him for a location for his worker to send it to. On the blue leather booklet were the words ’Certificate of Authenticity’ in large silver letters. In it was a clear picture of the Kunwu dagger, its specific measurements, and an appraisal by some ’expert’.

After getting home and storing the certification properly, Chen Fan was about to get Wang Bing to send him to the office when the doorbell on the white metal gate rang.

"Go get the door!" Chen Fan kicked Wang Bing in the butt. When Wang Bing opened the door, Chen Fan almost thought that there was something wrong with his eyes. The person pressing the doorbell was none other than Wu Ruoyu who said yesterday that she wanted to treat him to a meal.

"Hi, Chen Fan. Can I borrow your computer?" Wu Ruoyu said with her voice which was as sweet as Haagen-Dazs. "My computer broke down, but I have something very important this afternoon which requires the use of a computer. Can I borrow yours?"

"No problem!" Chen Fan stood up and tried to act gentlemanly. "My computer’s in the bedroom!"

"Oh, thank you!" Wu Ruoyu’s face showed gratitude toward Chen Fan as she smiled sweetly, revealing two dimples. After bringing Wu Ruoyu into the master bedroom, Chen Fan pointed at the two 24-inch LCD quad-core processor home computers with 4GB memory. "They’re connected with fiber optics, just download whatever you need."

"Umm, do you have the game ’Archlord’ on your computer? I’ve arranged with someone for a battle this afternoon," Wu Ruoyu turned and said to Chen Fan as she switched on the computer.

"Archlord..." That was too much of a coincidence. These two computers were made specially for playing Archlord. "Haha, I like playing that game too. Both computers have it."

Wu Ruoyu chirped, "Which district do you belong to?"

"Telecom second new district!"

"What a coincidence! Me too! I’m level 69 Trapper. What about you? Do you need my help to level up?" Wu Ruoyu was really confident of herself. The district had just started this month and the mainstream ranking was still hovering around fifteen. Its equipment was miserable, and many experts had to make do with low level equipment.

Chen Fan waved his hand and said, "Heh heh, I’m level 46 Beast Warrior, I cheated!"

"Haha, beast..." Wu Ruoyu covered her mouth and laughed, and then keyed in a string of account numbers to get into the game screen.

"Erm..." Chen Fan scratched his head. "You play first, I’ll go make some tea!"

After getting Wang Bing to make two cups of tea and then passing one to Wu Ruoyu, Chen Fan sat on the chair at the side and turned on the monitor. This computer had not been switched off for more than a week, paying to stay on the hook and helping him gain experience points. After switching off the cheat plug, Chen Fan added a few conditions to the orc before he wielded an axe and charged toward the Boss beside.

"Hey, you’re well-equipped. You can take on level 48 Boss by yourself?" Wu Ruoyu turned to look at Chen Fan’s little orc.

"Haha, these are all bought by money!" Chen Fan did not realize that Wu Ruoyu was the head of the union, though the members were not really up to standard.

"Wanna join my gang? We’re starting the battle in ten minutes." Wu Ruoyu cast out some bait, hoping to get Chen Fan under her.

"Umm, I’m called ’Xia Zhong Cang Jian’, just send me an invitation." Gaming was all about PK; Chen Fan naturally wouldn’t want to miss the upcoming PK war.

"Your name’s really unique..." Wu Ruoyu did not know whether to laugh or to cry as she set Chen Fan up as a member of the union.

Opening the RMB toolbar, Chen Fan clicked on the Beach teleporter and the ferocious-looking little orc switched to the human territory.

About a hundred members from both gangs all gathered in the main city of the Beach, waiting to fight when the system time came. "You’ll be in charge of attacking their wizard later!" Wu Ruoyun said as she controlled her ’cloud witch’ toward Chen Fan.

"Okay!" Five, four, three...

Looking at the countdown at the top of the screen, Chen Fan’s adrenaline started pumping. As the number on the screen became zero, some human shouted "Charge!!", and the screen suddenly showed a colorful array of skills.

The PK war in Archlord did not involve any technical skills at all. It was just a fight on RMB.

Chen Fan, who was hiding at one side, took a few RMB pills before quickly slipping into the human crowd.

"Hit the wizard, hit the wizard!" Wu Ruoyu said to Chen Fan anxiously.

Thump! Before Wu Ruoyu could say anything else, Chen Fan’s little orc was vstruck by the opponent’s senior rider.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh! Before the little orc regained his consciousness, the other party struck another three times.

"Ah!" The little orc let out a scream before falling onto the ground.
