503 Tiffi decides to try her best to survive

[First of all, Tiffi, I have a name. I am Kazumi.]

[Now, where was I... Ahh, yes. There is a person who blamed himself for his parent’s death. He pushed everyone away, but now he has changed his fate with his determination.]

“He is lucky...” Tiffi mumbled.

[Luckly? All he needed was a wake-up call, to be honest. Ohh, yes, and me as well.]

[The entire world brought him, and later it didn’t want him. Vincent finally realized how it took only one person to make him feel wanted. Why does one need the world to acknowledge him when he only ones the engagement of those who will share his life with?]

[Now Vincent is surrounded by people he can trust, and he is starting to overcome being summoned and unwanted...]

[Ahem, I mean, he is living a great life now.]

Tiffi wiped her tears and looked at Kazumi. “How can I escape from this hell? Can I do it too? Can I overcome this hellish prison made by the Sigil Mage class?” She asked.

[The key for all that is in your hands. However, the key needs guidance on how to work. That is why I am here to guide you on how to control your mana while my partner, Vincent Lionheart, is absorbing your mana right now.]

.....

[The less mana you have, the better it will become to control the mana in gathered and stagnated here. Believe in us, Tiffi, and you can return to your previous life with a twist of poverty.]

“But how can that be possible? It doesn’t make sense. No! You must be an evil spirit that is trying to trick me?” Tiffi became weary of Kazumi again. She waved her arms and continued, “Begon evil spirit. I will stay here instead of making my father suffer more.”

[Listen, you brat!] Kazumi angrily exclaimed.

Kazumi shone brightly for a moment like a flashbang and continued, [Your father agreed to become a loyal ally of the Lionheart family if we can save you. We asked for no other compensation other than that. I promise.]

Tiffi rubbed her eyes and looked at Kazumi as if she had heard something unbelievable. “Is my father willing to become the vassal of the Lionheart family to save my life?” She asked.

[Yes. That is how much your father loves you. So you better reciprocate the love by sitting with your legs crossed and start meditating.]

[Only by following my instructions can you control the red clouds of mana surrounding you.]

[Only then can you learn how to feel your mana enough to turn off the Flame Sigil and survive.]

“... I understand. ” Tiffi agreed in a wavering voice. She sounded like she was about to cry again.

[Do not be afraid.] Kazumi circled around Tiffi and later rested on her lap. [I, the lovably cute wisp Kazumi helped another Sigil Mage survive this problem. Do you want to know how she is living now?]

Tiffi nodded. She looked interested when the subject changed to Ester.

[Her name is Ester. Vincent tried his best to help her when she was sick from her Frost Sigil. Now she is happily living with Vincent as his wife.]

[Similarly, your father appears to have spent all his wealth to try to save your life. Now he is willing to serve the Lionheart family just to see you healthy again.]

“I know... my father is a little overprotective about me because I am a half-elf, and I don’t have a mother.” Tiffi gently placed her trembling hand on Kazumi and caressed her head to calm her nerves. “Can I meet Ester one day?”

[Of course. Ester is a kindhearted woman. She will surely teach you a thing or two about sigils.]

Tiffi gained a little bit of courage hearing this. She closed her eyes and started meditating. “Please tell me what to do next.” She requested.

[Okay.]

One hour later and one minute in the living world later...

The previous red chaotic currents became more stabilized, and they gathered to form visible mana lines now. Furthermore, the mana density was significantly decreased because of Vincent’s Overflow’s mana absorption.

Tiffi was becoming more proficient at absorbing and controlling her mana when she was asked a strange question.

[Would you hate your savior even if everyone called him a vicious criminal?]

“But is he that kind of person?” Asked Tiffi without losing her concentration.

[No. Vincent is a good and kind person. He asked me to save you because he does not want to see someone suffer as his wife Ester did.]

“Why do many see him as a bad person then?”

[You might find out one day if the situation arises, but please remember that we aren’t bad people.]

Tiffi asked a few more times, but Kazumi didn’t respond again. She focused on the mana around her and continued before Vincent absorbed it all.

*Living World – Viscount Aceon Ponalis House*

“Five minutes. That took long enough.” Said Vincent while placing Tiffi’s hand on the bed and letting it go.

Vincent stopped using Overheat and looked around. The temperature stopped becoming warmer, and the windows could not be opened as nothing else caught on fire. The Flame Sigil looked so weak that it wouldn’t burn the bedsheets anymore.

“Is... is it over?” Asked Aceon in a trembling voice. His face was pale from fear, and the warm room was taking his breath away. He looked like he was about to faint soon.

“Half the fight is over.” Vincent turned around and faced Aceon. “I have removed the excessive mana your daughter was suffering from. Now all that remains is for your daughter to control the remaining mana. That is the only way I know to turn off a Sigil.”

“Sofy, could you help the maid and tell us when the Flame Sigil disappears?” Vincent requested.

“Leave it to me.” Sofy accepted.

Vincent casually walked for the door. As his foot stepped out of the bedroom, the butler asked, “But the Flame Sigil is still on our young lady’s hand.”

“I have trust in this process. Bring your lord to take a seat and relax his mind. I will only act again if it takes more than half an hour for...”

“Vincent! The sigil disappeared!” Announced Sofy as she was giving the middle-aged maid a damp cloth.

Vincent checked Tiffi’s status window, and it didn’t look nice. Tiffi was exhausted, and she had suffered a lot from overusing her mana. Not to mention the potions and herbs she was given to sleep and keep the Flame Sigil deactivated as much as possible.

“Your daughter, Tiffi Ponalis, is very weak and is heavily suffering from mana fatigue. Do you have any remedies or potions to give her?” Vincent asked.

“How... how do you know my daughter’s name?” Aceon asked with a shocked expression. He had never introduced his daughter to Vincent.

“I have an ability similar to Marquis Darwin Griffionheart, but it is more basic than his. I always kept an eye on your daughter’s condition that way.”

Aceon felt terrible thinking Vincent was holding his daughter’s hand while using an ability he had never seen or heard of before for show.

Aceon was now confident the person he agreed to serve if his daughter’s life was saved might be a rough gem slowly becoming polished the more he lived.

Aceon looked at the butler and ordered him. “Go sell some of the emergency items I told you about and buy some potions.”

Vincent re-entered the bedroom, and green light flashed. On the nightstand were five potions.

“Here are one Minor Regen, Cleanse, Healing, Stamina, and Mana Regen Potions. I hope this will be enough for today. Staying with your daughter is also a good remedy, so do not rush and stay here.” Vincent warmly said.

Aceon couldn’t hold back his tears. He couldn’t believe there was such a kindhearted person alive. One who would help a stranger than bearly has anything to offer.

Vincent and Sofy went to the living room. They took a seat and wiped their sweat with clean fabrics Vincent summoned.

“Sofy. I never knew whips could be used like that.” Vincent complemented.

“I also didn’t think it would work. But I felt as if the water was looking at me.” Sofy rubbed her chin and continued, “Strange, right?”

“Did the water ask for a whipping?” Vincent joked.

“Maybe, hehe.”

Vincent and Sofy acted as if the previous critical situation didn’t happen. They spent a few minutes chatting alone before Aceon was escorted to his seat with a pair of red eyes from crying.

“Shall we sign...”

“You are not fit to write a contract right now. Come to my home on Sunday with your daughter. We can write the appropriate documents. Furthermore, do not let your daughter try using her Flame Sigil before meeting with my wife Ester, who is a Sigil Mage.”

“Thank you for your consideration.” Aceon looked anxiously at Vincent and asked, “Is your wife perhaps living without any problems now?”

“Yes. She is living without problems. However, my wife and your daughter have overcome this deadly problem differently.”

“Differently?” Aceon asked with a worried expression.

“I didn’t have these powers when my wife needed them the most. ” Vincent said while frowning. “I tried my best to keep her cold body warm while she toughed the pain out.”

Vincent raised his hand and looked at it. “On the other hand, I could now save your daughter by giving her an easy and less painful way out with the power I gained after saving my wife.”
