After Eisen grabbed all of the mushrooms and diced them up as small as he could to make the next steps more manageable, the old man brought the large bowl that he placed the cubes in out of the carriage in search for Bree, who he knew to have a dehydration spell. And it didn’t take that long for Eisen to find her, considering how her bright pink her stuck out like a sore thumb.
"Hey, Eisen! What’s all that?" Bree asked curiously, and Eisen grinned at her. "It’s just some mushrooms. But either way, could you maybe dehydrate them for me quickly? For your help, you’ll be one of the first people that I’ll show the new item to." He told her with a grin before Bree smiled brightly and nodded her head excitedly.
"Oooh! Of course!" She exclaimed before holding her hands over the bowl, and once a dim light lit it up, Eisen could already see that the mushroom-dice shrunk down considerably after losing their liquid. But so far, they were still pretty spongy and rubbery, so Eisen wouldn’t be able to grind them down easily, so he once more turned to Bree. "Is it possible to dry them out even more? To the point where they would almost fall to dust themselves." The old man inquired, and Bree thought about it before slowly nodding.
"Mhm! I haven’t used my Sorcery skill in a while, and I’m not too good at it, because most support skills are effective enough as is, but here I go!" She said as enthusiastically as ever, sticking her finger out before drawing something into the air directly above the bowl with mushrooms with her Sorcery Skill activated, meaning that Eisen, Kirisho, and Dien, who were the ones currently watching this happen, could see her draw the magic circle into the air.
And a little while later, the magic circle lit up and disappeared, while the mushrooms in the bowl shrunk down even further, already somewhat breaking apart just like Eisen wanted. "There you go!" Bree exclaimed and held her hands together behind her back with a broad, expecting smile, and the old man placed his hand onto her head for a moment, which seemed to satisfy the Fey-kin girl greatly.
"Thanks, Bree," Eisen said with a smile before he made his way back to the carriage with Kirisho still in tow.
"You and she are quite close, are you not?" Kirisho asked curiously, and Eisen immediately nodded his head. "Yeah, we are. She was one of my first companions here when I first I woke up in Melroe without my memories. She has helped me out quite a lot." Eisen explained as he sat down in front of his worktable and grabbed his pestle, before starting to grind the mushroom bits down to fine dust.
"Interesting..." Kirisho muttered out quietly, while Eisen continued grinding the mushrooms down. And a few minutes later, he managed to do so sufficiently. Then, in another bowl, Eisen ground down Flame of the Earth mana-crystals as well as the ’artificial soul’ and ’artificial mind’ crystals, also infused with his element, that he needed to make a golem core, adding them to the fine powder.
Once that was done, he added some water, mixed everything correctly, and poured it into a glass container, where he began to boil the water away. "What is it that you’re making now, Eisen? This is alchemy, isn’t it?" Kirisho asked, somewhat confused at why Eisen used all of the mushrooms before he nodded.
"It is alchemy, yeah. I’m making a few Golem Cores with special properties. These days, when I want to make golem cores, I combine them directly with transmutation, but I couldn’t combine the mushrooms with the crystals, you see? So I ground them down and mixed them in so that I could create golem cores with special properties." The old man explained, watching as the water began to bubble, while he already began preparing other things with other materials, including the leftover mushroom-powder.
"And why do you need golem cores with properties similar to yourself?" The Mist-Spirit asked, now actually slowly growing interested in why Eisen was doing what he was doing, and what kind of item he may be creating.
"Quite simply so that I can create tiny Craftsman Golems that can repair the small, everyday damages to the ship." He explained as he began to prepare the materials for the Golems’ bodies.
"Is that so?" Kirisho asked, impressed, while Eisen chuckled. "Yeah, it is. There are probably better systems I could create, but I feel like this is the most interesting." He explained, before he continued grinding down a few different materials for the bodies of the tiny golems.
He chose to go for a crystal-like body once more, created out of Flame-Of-The-Earth Mana-Crystals and Gems. After the crystal structures for the golem cores were finished, Eisen cleaned up and placed the next crystals into the flask to repeat the process for the body-material, while Eisen got to work on the Golem Cores. Eisen formed the raw crystal structure into a long, thin pole, which he then enchanted with the necessary enchantments to turn it into an actual golem core, before using his Transmutation-Enchanted sculpting tools to cut that large Golem core up into about a hundred tiny golem cores.
And while the rest of the water for the other crystals were boiling away, Eisen started on enchantment to create the bodies. He could make them all by hand, but that would take quite long for a total of 100 of these dolls.
So, the old man grabbed some mana crystals and formed them into a large sphere, where he would begin working on a complex enchantment to create the bodies. On the orb, which had a rough one-meter diameter, Eisen created a small cube opening where the bodies would later appear, each about twenty centimeters tall.
So the first thing that Eisen did was create the different spheres he needed, although the ’element’ spheres were each another 3D enchantment, each one used to create one part of the mannequin-like body. It took a little while to make it, and the crystals were already long finished, but Eisen wanted to finish this large enchantment before doing anything else.
He could have also just made a regular 2D enchantment, but these 3D enchantments not only gave him proficiency in Enchanting but also in Alchemy, as he was, at least currently, creating them with transmutation. So he was killing two birds with one stone!
And Eisen beat the shit out of both of those birds, using both abilities to the max, attempting to be as detailed as possible with everything. And the old man even added a few things that he wasn’t necessarily planning before. Such as giving the ’mannequin’ a total of four arms as well as one large eye, made of the Crystal Eye that Eisen still had a few of, in the center of their head so that they could adequately look for any broken parts on the ship.
On the outside of the sphere, Eisen also created a small flat area at the top where he would then place the materials that would be absorbed and changed into their new form, which Eisen would then only need to enchant a little bit further. He also described all the conditions accurately on the outside with runic carvings, before creating the final image in the center of the sphere, which was just a representation of the final body.
And so, Eisen managed to finish the enchantment after about an hour or two.
[Four-Armed Crystal Cyclops Doll Construction Enchantment]
[Quality - Highest][Rank - 3]
[Description] A Complex 3D enchantment created by the Omni-Craftsmaster Eisen. Each sub-enchantment creates its own ’body’ part, and the outer enchantment that controls the whole process absorbs materials, distributes them to the sub-enchantments, and then sets the body together.
[Effect] Four-Armed Crystal Cyclops Doll Construction
[Requirements] Currently 250 MP (required to activate enchantment); 100 INT, 100 WIS
Slowly, Eisen nodded in satisfaction, albeit a little annoyed that the quality was only ’Highest’ and not ’Perfect,’ before finally grabbing some crystals from inside of the flask.
With transmutation, he smoothed them out a little bit and combined them with the rest of the materials. The base-body would get a crystal combination of the Flame-Of-The-Earth Mana-Crystals and both the fire and earth gems infused with Eisen’s element. The two upper arms would get a combination of the elemental Mana-Crystals and Fire-type gems infused with Eisen’s element, while the lower arms would get a similar combination, only with infused Earth-Type gems instead, so that the upper arms could move swiftly, and the lower arms had more strength. And of course, all of these were also combined with the mushroom-powder.
And then there were, of course, the crystal eyes, which Eisen also placed into the infuser a while ago to give them unique properties with his element.
Eisen did all of this to make sure the bodies of the small golems were perfectly attuned toward being able to fix the minor damages the ship would receive over time. With a grin, Eisen then poured his mana into the activation-place for the enchantment and watched as a small portion of the materials were absorbed. Only a few moments later, the Golems’ Body was constructed in the area it was meant to be, and Eisen could grab the four-armed crystal cyclops doll, which was a quite unhandy name.
"And that is meant to be the body?" Kirisho asked curiously, and Eisen nodded his head with a grin on his face. "Mhm, it is. Now I only need to enchant them a little bit more." Eisen explained as he grabbed some enchanting marbles and quickly enchanted the body with ’Woodworking.’ Out of the total 100 Dolls, he would create about ten that were enchanted with ’Drawing’ instead, just so that they could paint over the areas that were fixed by the ’Woodworking’ dolls.
And as he wouldn’t be creating all 100 of these dolls today anyway, and only about ten as a test run, he didn’t need those yet, and would prefer waiting until he could create some dolls with Evalia’s element instead. Considering that Eisen didn’t specify which types of materials should be used in the constructions of the dolls in the enchantment, and simply created a few different ’areas’ where each material for each body-part needed to be placed.
After a little while, Eisen finished the ten test-dolls and slowly set the golem cores into the spot in their back, where he had planned on placing them from the start. And then, the old man simply poured his mana into all ten of those, activating the golems.
One after another, the small dolls began to move, and Eisen looked at them with a grin on his face. Kirisho was looking at them as well, and although she wasn’t necessarily as excited as Eisen was, she was happy that Eisen was so enthusiastic about them. "And these will now be able to repair small damages?" The Mist-Spirit asked, before Eisen nodded his head.
"Mhm, I hope so at least. The main bodies are enchanted with Woodworking now, but their hands, as they are technically split off from the main body, are now enchanted with Transmutation. So they are going to be able to grab some wood from a storage place somewhere and properly smooth and scratches or nooks over. We’ll see how well it works, but it shouldn’t be too big a deal." Eisen pointed out before he picked all ten of these dolls up and stepped out of the carriage while increasing his size again.
He already showed the workers that he could change from Demonic to natural form a little while ago, so Eisen didn’t need to continually be in that form, although he still didn’t explain to them why he could do that and who he was. The Demonic transformation was just a little bit annoying to walk around with due to his wings, so he preferred not to have that form for now at least continually.
And now, Eisen chose to make his way over to Bree, who he promised to show the finished Golems to first.
