[Correction.]

[The drone was destroyed by Gilgamar’s unintentional release of the energy stored within it.]

[The sword techniques you executed earlier were merely non-energy generating movements.]

He had a lot of experience in taming beasts, and if taming Sentient Weapons was anything like it, he had the utmost confidence that he would be able to “tame” the sword too.

[Affirmative. However, because it is not a beast, please note that you will not gain any XP from taming it.]

“Good. Not a problem at all. How do I wake it up?” Elliot asked.

[Repair the sword, and it will automatically awaken.]

“Repair the sword? How the heck… Ah. Wait. I have the [Forbidden Box]!” Elliot’s heart suddenly jolted with joy as he remembered the wondrous [Forbidden Box] which had the ability to raise the Grade of items to the Ancestral Level!

He quickly took out the [Forbidden Box] and placed Gilgamar in the box.

[Ding! Broken Sentient Weapon detected.]

[Would you like to repair the Broken Sentient Weapon?]

“Yes. Repair it please.” Elliot ordered with slightly bated breath.

[Please place the following items into the box.]

[One Mythical Grade Item.]

[One Mythical Grade Energy Core.]

Elliot’s eyes gleamed in excitement as he realized that he had both the required items!

Elliot quickly took out the ring he got earlier, [Left Eye of the Elemental Heretic], as well as the Mythical Grade Beast Core and placed them into the box.

“Please work. Please work. Please work.” Elliot whispered softly.

The [Forbidden Box] shined brightly for a full thirty seconds before finally returning to its original state.

[Sentient Weapon repaired.]

“YES!!!” Elliot whooped for joy when he received the notification in his mind!

He quickly took Gilgamar out of the [Forbidden Box] and held it reverently with both hands.

“Hello?” He greeted it cautiously.

Nothing happened.

“Hawk? It’s not responding.”

[Please place a few drops of your blood on the Sentient Weapon.]

“Ahh. Damn. You’re right.” Elliot laughed sheepishly at himself. He was so excited that he actually forgot he needed blood to trigger the Mindspace!

When his blood connected with Gilgamar, a strangely rigid mindspace descended upon him.

“Hello?”

“Who are you?” A powerful but flat voice sounded in Elliot’s mind.

“My name is Elliot. I am the one who repaired you and woke you up.” Elliot introduced himself.

“Repaired me…? Ah. Yes. I was grievously wounded in that final battle. And…

… …

Tyrius is gone.” The powerful voice trembled lightly at its final word.

Elliot merely kept quiet and gave it a little bit of time to come to terms with the new reality.

A few long minutes passed, and Elliot merely stood there patiently.

He glanced at the two girls who had retreated a full hundred meters away from him.

“I’m alright now! Sorry for that! I lost control of the sword a little bit. Stay there! I’ll come to you once I’m done!” Elliot shouted to them.

They obediently stayed put where they were and waited for Elliot.

“You guys ok?” Elliot asked his beasts.

“All good little Master, don’t worry.” Brock replied for them.

“Good. stand guard for me.” Elliot ordered them and promptly sat down. He placed Gilgamar on his lap, and continued to wait patiently.

His beasts had killed every beast worth killing in the vicinity and Elliot wasn’t expecting any trouble. But it never hurts to be careful.

And also because there were no beasts nearby to hunt, Elliot didn’t really have anywhere urgent to go. So he decided to stay put and sort out his ever-growing to-do list first.

And it was a pretty long list.

“Let’s see. Let’s use the Urgent and Important quadrants.

Top of the list – Extremely Urgent and Extremely important.

I have to power up and save Jennifer.

And in order to power up, I have to do a few things.

I have to tame Gilgamar. That would give me a powerful weapon to use.

I have to master the Astral Canvas system and the Rune Drawing.

I have to find more of the Red Dragon Blood Essence to advance my transformation.

I have to send out the Apostles to found their own clans and give me more strength.

Next on the list – Extremely important but not urgent.

I have to debrief the Dark Brainwyrms and get to the bottom of the mystery.

I have to find that unique substance they are searching for.

I have to get Red to upgrade my SSS Beast Apostle System. Oh, and forge armor for all of us.

I have to get Frosty to devour a useful and hopefully OP skill too.

Next on the list – Urgent but not important.

I have to get to the Bugatti Jirzon and other powerful cars.

I have to build a team around me. I am responsible for nine people now, and the number will only grow in the future. So I will need a system to handle them.

Actually, these are pretty important as well. But compared to the items above, they are slightly less important. They’ll stay in the quadrant for now.

Next on the list – Not urgent and not important.

Uhh… Let’s leave it blank for the moment.”

Elliot looked at the list he made with mild satisfaction. Now that he had gotten his to-do list clearly spelled out and sorted, he felt much more confident that he would be able to spend the next few days productively and efficiently.

“Let’s focus on the current task at hand. Taming Gilgamar. Hawk, please display Gilgamar’s new stats in the usual beast display format.” Elliot ordered his AI.

Life Form: Sentient Sword

Name: Gilgamar

Grade: Mythical

Skills:

[Supreme Elemental Resistance]

[Advanced Elemental Boost]

[Advanced Armor Piercing]

[Advanced Life Steal]

[Unknown]

“Where are the statistics for the skills?” Elliot asked Hawk with a frown.

[Unable to accurately quantify statistics – Not enough data.]

[Please release a few full powered attacks with Gilgamar for a more accurate initial reading.]

[Full details will be compiled after a few battles.]

“Gah. Alright. Tell me a little bit more about Gilgamar and Tyrius. I think I have a little bit of time to spare.” Elliot instructed Hawk.
