Slumrat Rising

I’m taking down Vol. 2 at 10 PM eastern time. It will be available on kindle, KU, Audible and paperback on March 5. Thank you all for your support, I really couldn’t do it without you. I have had an absolute ball writing Slumrat, and I am looking forward to all the exciting things to come this year.

I mean… have you HEARD Todd’s reading on these books? I’m not even an audiobook guy and I think it’s fire. Work on my currently-patreon-exclusive side project Starling will finally, FINALLY, get dragged across the finish line into completion. (No false advertising- I put up a quarter of the book on Patreon as part of a special promotion. It’s not being regularly released on there or anything. Writing that book has been a surprisingly heavy lift.)

One of my fellow RR authors put a completely insane idea in my head, and now I’m putting some work into what has to be the single most braindead thing I have ever written, including the authors notes where I just repeated the word “Potato” over and over. Just… pure brain poison. I think every individual letter I write for that is reducing the global literacy rate. Yet I’m still writing it. God help me.

My planned vacation WAS going to be this week, but I’m shifting it to the 17th. Just a ton of irons in the fire. I’ll be off for about a week. I’ve started work on Vol. 4, but there is some brainwork yet to do there. I’m not big on plotting every little thing, but I do like to have the goals set in advance, so I have a place to write towards. I know where the book starts and ends. It’s just all the bits in the middle I have to sort out.
