As time went by, Corey, Divine, and the taxi driver kept on walking. Surprisingly, neither Corey nor Divine complained about the distance they had trekked or the time they had spent walking.

They were both occupied with their own thoughts and amazingly, they also felt a sort of… peace.

It was bizarre and absurd to be feeling peace in an underground sewer. But that was the case for both Corey and Divine.

Their noses had adapted to the horrible stench of the sewer, and the lack of noise and the soft sound of rushing waters was soothing to the duo.

Approximately thirteen minutes later, both Corey and Divine had a slight change in their expressions, and they pushed their thoughts to the back of their minds.

"Seems it's not only your boss we're going to be meeting."

Divine calmly spoke, and the taxi driver flashed a light smile while shrugging nonchalantly.

"Tch."

Divine clicked his tongue, and with folded arms, he looked at the walls around them. Corey also looked at the walls, and his eyes contained a tinge of curiosity.

Three seconds passed, and four human-sized holes appeared on the walls. Emerging from these human-sized holes were four people who wore cloaks that were usually worn by assassins.

"Would you look at that. Your boss and organization are related to the Assassin group."

Divine scoffed the instant he saw the four people who wore assassin cloaks, and Corey was slightly intrigued.

This was the first time he encountered somebody related to the elusive Assassin group. Despite the money, connection, and fame he possessed, he rarely heard anything about the Assassin group, nor had he encountered a member of the Assassin group.

Now, people related to the Assassin group stood before him, and the first thing he did was observe them.

His eyes first landed on the individual who stood in front of the group. Surprisingly, the individual was a female, and her tall and lithe figure gave the female a sort of deadly charm. The female's midnight-black cloak billowed behind her as she stood with her arms folded. Corey glanced at her wrist, and there he saw the tattoo of a crescent moon, a well-known mark of the Assassin group.

The female gave a signal to the remaining four individuals, and they surrounded Corey, Divine, and the taxi driver in the blink of an eye.

The taxi driver had a smug smile, Divine indifferently raised his brows, and Corey nonchalantly continued his observation.

The second person Corey observed was a male. Clad in sleek, black, and form-fitting leather armor, his previous movement was like the fluidity of a shadow. His body blended seamlessly into his surroundings, and if not because of Corey's unique eyes, he was absolutely sure he would not have seen the man.

Corey's gaze shifted to a silver pendant in the shape of a crescent moon that hung from his neck, a symbol of his unwavering commitment to the assassin's code of honor.

'Worthy of being an assassin I guess.'

Corey thought, then he shifted his gaze to the next individual who grabbed his attention.

A woman.

With a piercing gaze and flowing ebony hair, the female exuded an air of mystery and danger. She wore a cloak adorned with intricate patterns of swirling smoke, the fabric seemingly shifting and changing with every movement. A delicate silver ring engraved with the emblem of a crescent moon adorned her finger.

'That's not a normal ring.'

Corey thought as he subtly gazed at the ring. He looked at the female once again for a few seconds, and then he shifted his gaze to the last individual.

A man.

The first thing that came to Corey's mind when he saw the man was, A master of disguise.

Corey did not know why, but the longer he looked at the man, the more Corey felt like the man would be able to assume any identity with ease and vanish without a trace.

His visage was neither handsome nor ugly, and was it neither average. It was just better than average. The man's appearance was one which could be easily forgotten and at the same time, easily remembered.

It was an extremely contradicting feeling, and Corey was baffled and intrigued by this.

The man's attire was as versatile as his skills, consisting of a black tailored suit that allowed him to blend seamlessly into high society or slip unnoticed through the shadows of the underworld. A silver cufflink in the shape of a stylized P and an image of a crescent moon adorned his sleeve, a discreet nod to his affiliation with the assassin group.

'He's the most dangerous individual in terms of versatility, adaptability, and concealment. I'm sure he'd be able to enter any place or join most organizations with ease.'

Corey thought, then he released a soft sigh while rubbing the middle of his brows.

'Mystic beings.'

'They're all tier 4s…' Corey subtly glanced at the first woman he observed. 'And they're not weak.'

Corey's brows furrowed, and he caught Divine giving him a subtle glance.

Corey raised his brows.

"I didn't expect such a reception when I was told we were meant to make a deal."

Divine calmly spoke to the woman with a crescent moon tattoo, and the female smiled.

"I apologize."

To Corey and Divine's surprise, the woman bowed.

"Are you not the leader?"

Divine asked. His expression was one of bafflement and slight intrigue as he gazed at the woman who exuded the aura and temperament of a leader.

The woman smiled, and then she placed her right hand on her chest.

"I think we should introduce ourselves first."

Corey and Divine furrowed his brows, and the woman gestured to herself.

"I go by Ariana… Ariana, the Shadowblade."

Ariana said, and Divine's expression experienced a subtle shift. A shift that was not noticed by Corey since his mind was on something else entirely.

"That is Erik… Erik, the Silent Striker."

Ariana gestured to the man who wore leather armor, and then her hand moved, gesturing to the woman with the silver ring and ebony hair.

"That is Luna… Luna, the Nightshade."

Ariana's introduction was brief as usual, and without wasting time, she introduced the man who Corey believed to be a master of disguise.

"That is Raphael… Raphael, the Phantom."

Ariana lowered her hand, and with a light smile, she spoke once again:

"Now that the introductions are out of the way. Let us commence with the trade."
