The only option left for Klautz was to go all out albeit with some conditions of decency. No blood must be shed on such a stage.

'I wonder how long he will last.'

If Klautz was going to go all out. Why not bag that 2500 gold as well?

Of course, Klautz still chose to fight with his [Star Dagger] instead of his usual weapons.

*Swoosh*

Klautz traveled at full speed as he assaulted Colt.

"What the...?" Colt's incoherence in speech was brought about by the bulging of his eyes and his inability to blink.

Colt was alarmed as he did his best to block the coming onslaught knowing that dodging it would be futile. This was also one of the attributes of his fighting style that Klautz had noticed during their last battle.

'His body dodges every attack normally but not when he is caught off guard and the situation isn't in his favor. He chooses to block them instead.'

There were only two times that Klautz was able to catch Colt off guard in the last battle. One of them was at the very beginning when Colt had charged towards him. At that time Colt had chosen to block his dagger with his fingers instead of dodging them. And the second time when Klautz had attacked from his blind spot. At that time his enchanted armor had blasted off instead.

Otherwise, throughout the rest of the battle Colt had only dodged. A deep analysis brought about by the keenest eye of Kishiogakure.

'Thus the key to defeat him is to catch him off guard. And my position as the newbie challenger is the best for that.'

*Slash*

Klautz dagger went straight as it pierced through Colt's hands that tried to block the oncoming piercing.

*Drip* *Drip*

Blood tickled as Klautz's attack had pierced through his defences stabbing his hands. His earlier resolve to not spill blood was eating dust.

'What another speed boost?'

Colt's eyes stared in shock as he glanced upon his own state. The moment of shock had caused him to forget all pain. The nerves in his body had as if stop responding altogether as the world around him seemed to be moving in slow motion.

"No that can't be… it should have never breached my defences."

Colt froze at his place as the land below his feet seemed to collapse into nothingness. Having high speed was a different thing but to breach his defences now as well? He should have got a scratch at most.

Even the infamous Berserker class could only boost their stats by 1.5 times. And Klautz hadn't even used any Berserk mode in the first place! How could a newbie reach such a strength to have countered him?

With no movement and no words, Colt stood in his place staring at his injured hand. Klautz could have made use of this to get another surprise attack on him but he chose to take different measures instead. After all, it wasn't a battle of life and death.

He lent forward towards him as he spoke.

"It's true that I am not a challenger. I accept that I don't represent the newbies. But the same isn't true for you, isn't it? Aren't you a a challenger despite everything?"

Klautz lips arched into a smile.

Truth being told, unlike Gozoto, there was no means that he could use to force Colt into a battle. His position as a challenger only fortified this very fact.

But was that all? Klautz words were an attack to his very ego. It was a challenge for him to accept defeat and run with his tails in between his legs.

"So make sure you use the right to forfeit when you feel danger otherwise don't blame me for what happens next."

Klautz smirked as he pulled away. After all, Klautz had to clear the air. He didn't want to be blamed even if he makes a mistake on purpose, does he?

"How…"

Colt's eyes rippled reflecting his bloodied hand as Klautz words made him twitch. It was a fact… a rule of such a match that he had never even considered before and he was sure that none of the others had. If at all, they had considered such a rule as a nuisance that allowed the newbies to run away with their tails in between their legs.

But now? He was no longer sure. The words of Klautz were so confident that it was almost scary.

Colt wasn't the only one who was shocked. Klautz was loud enough to make everyone hear it.

After all, Klautz objective here was to clear the air. He wanted everyone to know that if Colt gets injured in the match due to his resilience or arrogance, it would be his own fault and not his.

But Gozoto raised his brows.

"Color me surprised. Never thought the events would turn into something like this."

"You …," Colt glared at Klautz.

Putting facts aside, how could Colt let himself be insulted by an earthling in such a manner? It was supposed to be an exchange of pointers but how could Colt quell his anger after being provoked to such a degree?

Klautz might be stronger and much more confident than he had expected. But who was he? He had his own backing and his own cards. Not to mention he had a respectable position in society. How could he let that respect eat dust in such a manner? How would he be able to return back to his guild if he did?

*swish*

Cott had got desperate, Acknowledging Klautz's strength aside he could not let himself be defeated here.

'Those old fogies would never care about my circumstances. All they care about are results!'

Driven to a corner, Colt could only use desperate measures. He felt more fear from those members of his guild than from the impending enemy in front of him.
