Chapter 440: Who’s More Suitable Now?

Chapter 440: Who’s More Suitable Now?

That was what inside his mind? In her heart, Fan Ling understood that not only no one would look down on them, they would be trying to curry favor with them to the best of their abilities to make sure that they would be able to stay alive and well.

Those who dared to offend the one who obtained the Emperor’s Inheritance in Sun Kingdom will receive the wrath of everyone around them. Everyone loved their kingdom and naturally they wished that their kingdom would be able to prosper. Because of that, they would want to protect the one with Emperor’s Inheritance.

Any enemies will be killed immediately.

"How did you get so big?" Lin Xiao mumbled when he saw Lin Hu getting so much bigger.

’I’m already at Golden Core Stage 3, which meant that I have recovered my original size.’ Lin Hu moved his body slightly to stretch out. But in the eyes of others, he looked so threatening that no one dared to breath without permission.

Lin Xiao shook his head and then looked at the figure on top of the stairs, who were still staring at Lin Hu with a dumb expression. Without the headband, the crown mark on his forehead was printed clearly and no one would dare to say otherwise.

At that moment, everyone knew.

Lin Xiao is an Emperor chosen by the Heaven.

"Lies!" Prince Lin Bo Wang screamed. "That’s not possible! How come you’re the one who’s selected by the Heaven!"

Lin Xiao shrugged. He actually wanted to ask the same question when he first got the inheritance because it was so bizarre in his eyes. For someone like him, who felt that it he was not supposed to get it, it was quite a nice surprise.

"I got it, didn’t I?" Lin Xiao replied back.

Prince Lin Bo Wang knew that with the appearance of the dragon, it was clear that those who chose to side with him would die. After all, no one could ignore the appearance of the legend that hadn’t appeared in their kingdom for a long time.

This was their chance to become even more powerful so that they would be able to rise.

But how could Prince Lin Bo Wang give up everything? He had already sacrificed so many things in order to be able to become the Emperor from when he was young. And now that someone else took it and he couldn’t do anything, could he accept it?

Besides, Prince Lin Bo Wang knew that even if he gave up, Lin Xiao might not necessarily spare him.

Swish!

Using his Qi, Prince Lin Bo Wang appeared before Lin Xiao. Lightning cracked on the air as he slammed his sword towards Lin Xiao.

Clang!

Ice began to form as Lin Xiao raised his hand that was holding the sword. He blocked the attack from Prince Lin Bo Wang with a sneer. "Do you really think that you can defeat me with just that?"

"Kill him!" Prince Lin Bo Wang shouted desperately.

Some of those who followed him had fallen to the knees, feeling immensely regretful. Only a few of them were still wielding weapon and reacted to the word that Prince Lin Bo Wang uttered.

As they rushed over, Elder Wang raised his hand to stop the youngsters. "It’s already over. You don’t need to worry about him."

"Why?"

"He can’t fight alone."

"He’s not alone." Elder Wang smiled. He had seen the power of that dragon with his own eyes in the past. It was so powerful that no one should ever hope to ever contend with it unless they were more powerful than it.

Roar!

The dragon roared angrily and the shockwave sent all of those who followed Prince Lin Bo Wang back. They spat blood as their insides were completely churned with just one powerful attack from the dragon.

"No!" Prince Lin Bo Wang swung his sword and retreated a few steps. He looked up and noticed Yu Shi, who was staring back at him with pity. At this moment, he finally realized what it meant to truly have nothing.

The temperature was still dropping as Lin Xiao waved the sword near him.

"The throne is never yours, Lin Bo Wang." Lin Xiao looked at the prince with a faint smile without mirth in his eyes. If he had never appeared, of course the one who would become the Emperor would be Prince Lin Bo Wang. However, by some kind of fate, he got the inheritance.

From that moment on, it was already destined that Prince Lin Bo Wang will never be able to hold the throne.

"I’ll never give it to you!"

Swish! Clang!

The fight continued to rage on while at the top, the people who were no longer willing to fight had already dropped their weapon. Some of them gave up immediately, some fainted, and Lin Xiao’s group members were all cheering for him.

Wang Jun looked at Yu Shi. "Now you know."

Yu Shi nodded dumbly. He was already in his middle age and also quite powerful himself, but this was the first time he felt that he received news that’s out of his scope of knowledge. "You know about this?"

"I found him when I’m in that backwater village." Elder Wang laughed. The image of Lin Xiao running around in the village to escape beating flashed within his mind. "I have seen him even before he got the inheritance and he’s quite a remarkable youngster if I had to say."

The most remarkable thing would be his ability to attract trouble, but Elder Wang would never say this out loudly. He didn’t want to get a beating for spreading some kind of news around. Even if Lin Xiao is a troublemaker, they could simply associate it with him being young.

Yu Shi nodded. "I see. Do you think he’ll forgive me?"

"I’m sure he will. Many of you are only following Lin Bo Wang because you thought that he’s the right one. However, in front of the one chosen by the Heaven... no one could possibly contend with him."

"Yes."
