145 Jeremy Mccall

“Jeremy Mccall,” Bane sneered.

“Or should I say copycat, Jeremy?”

Camille shook her head, seeing the look on Bane and Aiden’s faces.

“The both of you are not helping in any way. Raphael, you know what, I will tell you everything you need to know about that scumbag.” Camille said.

A nod came from Raphael, after which Camille spoke.

“You already know that asshole is a student of the murderer division, number two on the most valuable students list, and his power is called power replication.”

The power to replicate the powers of others.

“But, what you don’t know is Jeremy’s ability doesn’t just lay in power replication alone.”

“He can also duplicate any object, be it weapons, gadgets, tools whatever it, Jeremy can produce it with a flick of the hand,” Camille said.

.....

Jeremy had picked Raphael’s interest when he saw how he copied his opponent’s power, and then made the copied power much stronger than the original power.

As Jeremy hadn’t copied any gadget in the tournament, Raphael wasn’t aware that his powers were at this stage, not until Camille informed him about it.

And this made Raphael take him more seriously.

A metahuman who was able to replicate the powers of others, and also any tools that were thrown at him, was to be wary of.

“As cool as his powers might seem, he is nothing but a jerk. A scumbag!” Bane blurted.

Raphael raised an eyebrow, “Why is there so much hatred between the four of you toward him?”

“Did he perhaps hurt any one of you?” Raphael inquired.

Devon, Bane, Aiden, and Camille glanced at one another as they heard Raphael.

A second after and the four of them burst into laughter.

“Hahaha!!!”

Bane held his stomach as he laughed hard.

However, seeing the look on Raphael’s face, the four of them became quiet.

“Raphael, it’s not just the four of us who hate Jeremy, everyone in the academy does,” Camille stated.

“Including his own division.” Bane continued.

There were question marks written all over Raphael’s face as he heard Bane and Camille.

What made Raphael more intrigued about Jeremy was that he had so many people who wanted his life, yet he was still very much alive.

There were just expressing their hatred towards him, none of them seemed to be bold enough to make a move against him.

“Then why is he still alive?”

“If the seven division dislikes him that much, why haven’t they done anything about him,” Raphael asked.

Camille sighed deeply, “It’s not as easy as you think.”

“The division going after Jeremy is exactly what he wants. It would only make him stronger, and that’s why we have held back from doing anything to him.” She said.

A nod came from Devon, Aiden, and Bane’s faces after Camille spoke.

“Jeremy’s power goes way beyond copying powers, he is also able to merge separate powers into a single whole.”

When Raphael heard Camille, he readjusted his position on the couch, and as Camille continued, his mouth opened slightly.

“The ability can make him merge or combine powers to create combos and even new force.”

“There are all sorts of powers that can be produced through Jeremy’s power mixture, and it isn’t something that the division wants to be up against,” Camille said.

“Jeremy’s action of making everyone in the academy hates him is deliberate. He wants us to come at him, so he would be able to use the power mixture and wipe us all out.”

It was Bane’s voice that rang out.

Raphael placed his hand on his chin and pondered deeply.

Seeing the expression on Raphael’s face, Aiden spoke.

“Raphael, I must warn you, Jeremy is going to come after you during the tournament. But, regardless of what he does, do not make a move on the bastard.” Aiden exclaimed.

It wasn’t even up to a second after Aiden spoke, and Bane said, “Yes, Raphael. As much as I hate that asshole, I have to admit that, he isn’t someone to be messed with.”

“We will deal with him, but not now,” Bane stated.

A sneer was, however on Camille’s face as Bane and Aiden, she spoke.

She started at the both of them with ridicule evident in her eyes, and after a few seconds, she spoke.

“So, you’re insisting that Raphael should ignore whatever Jeremy does because he shouldn’t be messed with.”

“The rest of us might be cowards to do anything to Jeremy, but when as anyone on the top list gave a shit about him.” Camille blurted.

“Raphael, I say you repay evil with evil.”

Camille’s hands were clenched into a tight fists as she spoke.

Suddenly, a chuckle escaped Raphael’s lips.

“I certainly will.” He said with a smile on his face.

As Gus, who was on his shoulder, saw that look and smile, its eyes lit up.

Gus let out a hiss that then brought the smile on Raphael’s face to widen.

“Yes, Gus. But, I do hope, he doesn’t disappoint.”

The four in the room didn’t have any idea what Raphael meant, they glanced at themselves with confusion evident in their gaze, before one of them said.

“As long as I don’t encounter those most valuable students, I should be able to make it to the top fifty comfortably.” Bane said with a smile on his face.

None of the people in the room doubted what Bane had just said, as even though Bane was very mischievous, he was one of the strongest metahumans in the elite division.

“What about you, Aiden?”

Camille asked.

Aiden was about to speak when he suddenly paused.

He stared at Camille for a brief moment before saying, “My goal is top twenty.”

As Camille heard Aiden, a light smile appeared on her face and she nodded her head.

“Nominal student, not so bad, Devon. With your abilities, you would be able to redeem yourself and become a core student in the second year.”

Camille’s voice rang out as soon as she moved her gaze to Devon.

As a nominal student, Devon could be said to be on probation.

There were three options for nominal students in the academy, he could either choose to leave the academy with his memories all wiped clean.

Death!

And lastly, he could redeem himself.

The discussion soon changed and as the topic wasn’t intriguing nor satisfying, Raphael stood from the couch.

He was about to head towards his room when Camille spoke.

“Raphael, don’t just focus your attention on Jeremy since he seemed to be the most interesting, they are also other metahuman you need to take seriously.”

“There’s Marcel and Teresa from the murderer division. Alphonso, Enzo, and Hilario from the bandit’s division, Orson from the research and support, Aurora from the tech division, and Nevaeh from the norms division.”

“And many more,” Camille said.

“You’re the fourth most valuable student in the first year, I can assure you they are plenty of students who are looking into you.”

Raphael flashed a smile at Camille and said, “I will be waiting for them.”

With that said, and, Raphael left the living room.

Bane shrugged his shoulder as they all shifted their gaze to him after Raphael went into his room.

Meanwhile, as Raphael went into his room, he immediately headed to the construction table.

He placed the black book on the table and began to write into it.

Even though Raphael was informed of some new details about the other details, it still didn’t affect any of the plans he had already made.

“Marcel Bler,” He muttered.

Marcel was mentioned by Camille earlier in the room, but before she gave the name, he was already one of the people on Raphael’s list.

.....

Possessing the power to split his own body into pieces, and control the pieces anyhow he wished, Marcel wasn’t to be underestimated.

He is immune to cutting and being slashed, as he could easily pull his body back together.

Marcel could also remove his heart or any organs in his body without dying or even bleeding to death.

A bone-chilling smile however appeared on Raphael’s face, as below Marcel’s abilities were his limitation and weakness.

“There are really bringing out the best in me,” Raphael said.

There was a nod from Gus, who was at the table.

If there was one thing Raphael enjoyed about the tournament was that it tested his skills and imagination.

In a world where superpowers were everything, it was fun to create gadgets that could take down a human with these so-called superpowers.

“Teresa Hayes.”

Another name was mentioned by Camille.

If there was an aspect that the students in the academy agreed to about Teresa apart from being beautiful, then it was the quote said by the merchant of vernace.

All that glitters isn’t gold.

Teresa possessed a striking appearance that could leave both men and women dumbfounded, and just as her appearance was striking, the power she possessed was startling.

The ability to cause anything or anyone to explode upon touch.

The young lady could rank among the top fifteen most valuable students because of her power and critical thinking skill.

....

Time passed very quickly, blood covered the ground of the first-year block, and as the day went by, it was once again, the moment for the first-year tournament.
