Sassy followed Nero out of the hall and nothing seemed different about the environment outside the room which made it seem like no one had heard or known of what had happened in the hall.

Nero definitely did not act as though anything special had gone on in the hall as he had a calm expression on his face while he fanned himself.

"I just realized I never asked what you think of our Dragon Clan" Nero suddenly said.

Sassy narrowed her eyes at what she felt was an obvious attempt at trying to make things more normal and natural so she approached it with an 'Okay I'll bite' attitude.

"I think it's all a bit much," she said with a smile to match Nero's but treading into the obnoxious category.

"Oh really? Why do you think so?" Nero asked and Sassy shrugged,

"Well, it's grand and powerful," she said.

"And that's bad?" Nero asked.

"Well not bad but as I said, it's a bit much. Your clan is not the sole ruler of the continent. You share that power with three other clans/tribes with territories equally divided among yourselves" Sassy said and Nero paused which caused Sassy to stop moving as well.

Nero turned around to look at her with a raised brow,

"Are you trying to get me angry?" he asked.

"Why would I do that?" Sassy asked with a shocked expression that was immediately tagged as fake.

Neto shook his head and turned back around to continue walking while he said,

"Who knows? As for what you said, well, indeed we do share this continent but surely, that does not and should not mean that we do not stay true to the nature of our great clan"

"Oh" was all Sassy said but Nero took that word as an invitation to say more which he can't be blamed for as Sassy sounded a bit condescending.

"Our great Dystopian Dragon clan is only a subset of a Dragon god living in paradise and that dragon God is still only a small being compared to his progenitor, the Cosmic Dragon King. A great Primeval god revered as the greatest progenitor of the greatest of beasts.

We are innate to be proud and it is instilled in our very nature to let that pride be seen and heard" Nero said and he said those words with relish.

All he said, Sassy already knew.

Apart from being Hal's familiar and having access to a lot of direct teachings from him, she was also able to access the Codex of Infinity. In fact, her access was greater than anyone else in Hal's forces including his women.

Sassy's place was higher to Hal than any of his women, excluding Melinda, and that had been the case from the moment she became his Familiar. The moment Hal tied their souls to one another to form the Master-Familiar bond.

Anyway, Sassy was not new to all that Nero was saying and that was especially why she saw his words as normal and was not mystified despite the grandeur with which they were spoken.

"If all you say is true, then should it not also be your nature to fight to be the best? Your Dragon clan has been in this competitive government with others for even longer than the Harons have ruled the human continent.

I mean, your clan has a more direct claim to a Primeval God than the serpent tribe and yet they hold territory equal to yours."

Serpents are not represented in the lineup of Primevals and are a subset of beastly reptilian creations of the Primeval Dragon King.

Nero chuckled with the clear indication that he knew exactly what Sassy was driving at.

"Haha, we are nothing compared to the Primeval Dragon King. He likely cares nothing about our existence. Yes, the drive to be the best is within us but there also needs to be moments of careful reflection and compromise."

"Screw compromise! That's the same as not trying and just giving up to outside pressure. As dragons, should you all not be roaring and shaking the continent while forcing the others to bow?" Sassy asked.

"Compromise is important when one is in the sort of situations our clan is in. We are not the only powerful forces on the continent and we understand that and have made peace with it.

Even the Primeval Dragon King is in cooperation with the other Primevals" Nero said and Sassy shook her head.

"Not really no. The Primevals hate each other. They hardly ever have a common goal they fight toward and so they wage war often to capture more territories in Paradise. The Cosmic Dragon King is still striving to be supreme." Sassy said and Nero was shocked at how much she appeared to know.

"And you know this how?" he asked.

Sassy grinned,

"I read," she said.

"Read what?" Nero asked.

"Are you showing interest?" Sassy asked.

Her tone was chilling. Not in the 'I'll kill You' sort of way but in an ensnaring sort of way. It was chilling and sweet. Nero was immediately interested in the idea of knowledge... Of knowing more.

He came back to his senses when he thought there was nothing confirming anything she had said to be true.

"Not really, I'm just curious," Nero said.

"If you ever want to learn, let me know. It will cost you though.

Now, back to the topic, it is innate within you all to rule supreme and you are suppressing all that just to be cooperative." Sassy said.

"Just because we have been quiet does not mean we are not roaring," Nero said.

"That makes zero sense," Sassy said.

She knew Nero was trying to speak in a proverb and hinting at the obvious plot for power that the Dystopian Dragon Clan was dabbling in but she did not care.

"Maybe," Nero said.

"Even now, you turn your attention to the Haron continent but when it has been captured, what then? Another equal division among the Dystopian rulers?

That would just return things to how they were in the first place except now you have more territory.

To your Dragon pride, you should not be satisfied until you have it all. But that is just what I think" Sassy said.

She ended her words with a humble smile.

"And here I thought you were here to promote unity on the Dystopian Continent against the Human Continent," Nero said with a chuckle and they were finally arriving at the actual meeting where important members of the clan await.

"Unity comes in more than one cooperative form. The Haron Continent being supremely ruled by a singular family is an example of the sort of unity I would expect the dragon clan to be aggressively fighting for but once again, that l's just what I think" Sassy said.

Nero just smiled as he had Sassy's arrival announced which prompted an exaggerated opening of large double doors into the Dragon clan throne room.

The doors opened just in enough time for Sassy to hear the loud booming repetition of the announcement that Nero had said out to the Throne room.

"... Lady Sassy, Representative Of The Sapphirine Prince"

The throne room was magnificent just like every other part of the Palace and just as Sassy had described the Palace to Nero, it was a little much.

The throne itself was a giant rock shaped into a large throne and with no visible part of it smoothened out. It was jagged and looked very comfortable to seat on and yet that was the point... Sort of.

The skin of any Dystopian Dragon King to seat on the throne must have already gone through enough tempering and advancement to not be bothered by its jaggedness and so, said jaggedness was more for show.

It was to represent just how much responsibility was demanded to seat on that throne with it it also being a very coveted place to seat.

It was to represent the toughness of their draconic character and scales.

Anyway, the rock throne was beautiful for what it was and what it represented but it was magnificent for the power it held.

Those in the throne room were on their knees but with their asses resting on their ankles as was the position mandated in the Dragon clan as a further show of power for the Dystopian Dragon King. Everything in the throne room was all about catering to the king's authority.

The seating position, of course, was hardly a bother for anyone of those in the throne room as they were all cultivation experts to some degree. Plus, it was not too comfortable a position in the first place.

The internals of the throne room was decked in gold and black colors to even better fit the tone of the throne.

The rock throne itself was resting on a solid gold platform that was marked with Runes that Sassy was not bothering to decipher. At least not at the moment.

Nero urged her to move beside him and together, they approached the throne where Sassy cast her eyes around and recognized a few people in the hall through the memories and knowledge Hal had shared with her one way or another.

One of them was Reyna Gord, and another was Addilyn Gord, who had been the general in the only Haron-Dystopian war Hal had actively been involved in so far.

"Your Majesty" Nero said with a bow and if anyone expected Sassy to follow his example, they were in for a disappointment as Sassy simply raised a hand and said,

"Hi"
