Sapphire City...
The twenty men and women with cultivation ranging from a peak of the Semi-Saint realm to one-star saints had made their way to the root of the Sapphirine Cult with the ability to fly once they had arrived at the Kirsten Barony.
With the use of a teleportation circle, their journey to the Kirsten barony had only been a few hours and while they made their way to Sapphire city soon after, they still took their time... Especially when they came upon the battlefield that had seen the death of Commander Ghan and his men.
Seeing the body littered and blood-stained ground had annoyed Adrien Silva to no end and he was quite determined to raze the cult capital and the sentiment was shared by the others.
Adrien had felt they had all that they needed to accomplish their mission, so Why?
Why?
Why was he the only survivor?
When they arrived in the City, all twenty of them had let out the absolute height of their cultivation pressure to terrify all who felt it.
They did not attempt diplomacy, the time for that had passed, and the blood-stained battlefield that was seen as a challenge to the Silva Family's authority and such disrespect deserved to be punished.
They all charged attacks and sent them towards the city but all attacks were canceled out in mid-air before they could hit their targets.
The ones who had been the case of the canceling attacks made themselves known immediately after... They were all ladies dressed in ethereal silver robes.
Those residing in Sapphire city, the most powerful of whom were Hal's women themselves, were nowhere near the level of the twenty attacking experts.
Should Melinda truly exhaust all of her means, she would still not be able to scale up to the level of peak Semi-saint or one-star saint and neither could the likes of Rita and Karmen.
Anyway, reinforcements were needed and the best candidates were the Semi-Saints of the Silver moon sect.
The next attack that was sent out was swallowed by a black hole created by the daughter of the Silver moon sect head, Corrina, who was happy to be called on.
Just like every other member of the Silver moon sect, Corrina could access the Harem space and through Hal, she could converse with any other member of Hal's Harem to answer a call.
"Oh you cannot imagine just how much I love being here," she said and spared the city a look of awe seeing as it was her first time visiting the root of Hal's spreading faith.
The experts of Sapphire City were able to take a backseat and just watch the battle go on in the air.
Corrina faced Adrien Silva on her own and while the Silva man was surprised to see Melinda and was realizing that there was so much more to this cult than he and many others had previously thought, he had to quickly rally and focus on Corrina.
Adrian, being a genius worthy of being proudly proclaimed by his father as the next head of the clan, had gained insight into an Elemental Ordinance but that was hardly useful in his battle with Corrina.
Corrina had advanced her Void Ordinance to harnessing Level long ago and for every Ordinance use Adrien made, she had a counter that rendered it useless.
As evidenced by her wings, she was at the peak of the semi-saint realm but of course, her battle prowess was much greater than this which was expected of her as someone who practiced a derivation of Hal's cultivation technique.
Adrien never had a chance... He just did not realize early enough just how out of the depths he was.
Good news though, Corrina knocked that into his head soon enough.
Adrian was wielding the Ax cosmic armament that was the preferred weapon of choice for the Silva family she armed with his ordinance, he slashed the ax diagonally and sent a cosmic attack imbued with semi-saint energy at Corrina.
Corrina opened a portal and it sent the attack in a different direction just as she vanished only appear above him and slammed him with a large construct she made of cosmic energy.
Adrien reacted fast enough to defend against the hit but the force behind it still sent him hurtling downward and the moment he managed to stop his descent, he was met with another punch by Corrina which sent him toward a building in Sapphire city.
Corrina did not allow him to make contact with the building though as it was a definite requirement that the city did not suffer any damage from the attacks... They were to know of it (seeing as it was in their city skies) but were not to be involved.
She opened a portal and it swallowed Adrien only to spit him out in the sky where she flew to meet him with another blow.
This time though, Adrien was prepared with his hand closed around an Orb-like artifact.
The moment Corrina got close, there was a flash of light with no sound and to any onlooker that was all there was to it but behind that flash of light was a mighty force equivalent to getting hit by the attack of a One-star saint.
The orb was a Semi-saint grade Artifact that Adrien was granted and allowed to wield as the future head of the Silva family and this was one of the rare occasions that he ever had to make use of it.
Alas, as sure that he was that he had timed the use well and given Corrina no hope of escaping or surviving, he was wrong.
Corrina got hit by his attack but endured the initial hit of the attack long enough to escape through a portal and avoid the brunt of it.
She then stepped out of another portal behind Adrien and made use of a cosmic skill in form of a long silver spike which she proceeded to stab into Adrien's side.
All this happened in seconds and from his use of the Artifact to getting stabbed, Adrien had not even had the time to breathe or better process things.
The stab was not life-threatening though because of all the Semi-saints that had been called as reinforcements, Corrina was the only one with limitation as Adrien was the only one Melinda had requested to be left alive... There had to be someone to tell the tale and what better someone than the Duke's son?
As the battle heated up, the destruction of Sapphire city took a back seat on the list of priorities of the twenty sent by the Silva Duke, and the longer it went on, the more survival became the goal to aim for.
Once the realization began to set in that victory was unlikely, these fellows had the good sense to attempt to escape but they were never able to.
Any attempt to make use of portable teleportation scrolls was dashed under the barrage of attacks from their opponents and their manner of escape was seized before they were killed.
Their deaths were quite gory and the higher-ups in the Blood Knights were quick to make their way to their bodies to reap as much blood essence as they could.
Adrien got chucked full of demonic energy that made him docile and bound his body so that he could only gawk at the temple dedicated to the Sapphirine Prince... The temple he was now made to kneel in front of... At the mercy of the very cultists, he had been sent to destroy.
'What will Father think?' he thought... It was a bit ironic that he was having this thought as at that very moment, his father and the rest of the Silva Elders were putting the finishing touches to Hal's plan.
"I'll call that a job well done, wouldn't you?" Corrina said to Melinda.
Melinda smiled and nodded,
"Perfect," she said before grabbing the front of Adrien's robes and dragging him along as she prepared to open the portal to the Harem space.
"Thank you," Rita said but Corrina waved off the appreciation,
"There's surely no need to thank me. We are one and the same are we not?" she asked.
"Of course we are. Which is why you don't have to be in such a hurry to leave. Stay for the celebrations" Rita said.
"You will celebrate such a small win?" Cortina asked in confusion.
"Every step forward for the cult is worthy of celebrations. Plus, you can consider it more as us being hospitable to you as our guests" Rita said.
"Oh. We will be honored" she said just as Melinda opened a portal into the Harem space and walked through it, dragging Adrien along.
Immediately she was inside the Harem space, Hal had a portal opened and ready to let her out in the Silva Family territory.
The sight of the state of the Silva Duchy palace caused Adrien's eyes (the only form of expression he had at the moment) to widen in shock.
'What the hell happened here?' he thought.
"Welcome," Hal told Melinda and he had just spoken when figures began to land.
"Melinda?" Devon said as he saw his daughter with her hand still grabbing onto Adrien's clothes.
Hal, whose appearance was back to what it normally was, seized control of the Silva man's weakness and Vulnerability to tie him to Infinity as he had done with every other member of the Silva Family.
