The Array was a brute meant to smackdown at the enemies and it did just that.
The impact was incredible and the way it pressed the targets against the ground was wonderful to all members of the Sapphirine Guild present.
Many of them looked back at Hal but the blue-eyed Devil was already harnessing more Astral energy for the drawing of more Rune circles.
Meanwhile, quite a number of enemies that had been smacked by Hal's descending Array were still on their feet and still looking ready to fight.
They had protected themselves enough with cosmic energy to not be too affected by the Array.
Sassy wasted no time dashing towards one of them though and sinking her fist into his stomach with a smile before then following up with an uppercut that rocked the young man to the very core of his being.
Once he was down, Sassy turned her eyes at any of the other potential targets on whom she could let loose a year of pent-up punching energy.
As someone who had entered the Academy grounds as Hal's companion, there was no rule against Sassy's involvement in his battles.
The only prohibiting rule was in the bringing of more than one companion into the Academy and also no one was allowed to bring a companion whose cultivation surpassed the Mid-stage of the Cosmic Pagoda realm.
Even if they were granted special privilege to bring such a high-grade companion into the Academy, said person and their companion would be banned from the Guild war as long as their companion was with them.
That said, not many actually bring companions into the Academy to fight for or with them.
If this companion of theirs was not already a part of the Royal Academy which was a congregation of geniuses and the absolute best that the Haron Continent had to offer, then there was no point in that companion being involved in Academy battles.
Hal had no such mindset though and he had a feeling that he was not the only one who was thinking this way.
He would not put it past the Elders to provide companions for their disciples in regards to taking Hal and the Sapphirine guild down.
With Sassy beating down one of the weakened enemies while letting off the pressure of an Aurora realm expert, the other members of the Sapphirine guild jumped into action.
Apart from the weakened enemies, there were still those who had not been in the range of Hal's Array and with those were the two Guild leaders who looked at Hal with a frown.
Hal saw Leila forming rune circles which she used against the enemies and he nodded as though impressed before he clicked his fingers and formed multiple rune circles instantaneously.
Leila's eyes widened and she mumbled,
"Impossible"
Such ease with Rune drawing made no sense to her.
Hal simply smiled lightly before sending his circles to smack and stick against many of the already weakened enemies before exploding and sending them flying back to smack into a building or even into other members of their force.
Then Hal slammed his leg against the ground and spent the last bit of Astral energy he was willing to expend to create more Rune circles that went past all fighting enemies to target the two leaders.
The two leaped away before they could be hit by the circles and Hal nodded while feeling impressed but the circles he had created were not just going to vanish without doing something so he sent them after Guild members around the two leaders instead.
*Booom!!!*
At this point, no member of the enemy forces was idle and they all dashed to battle against the members of the Sapphirine Guild who, so far had no member incapacitated and were still fighting with their full numbers.
Nicole grinned and there was a bit of a violet tinge in her eyes as she gripped her cosmic Armament tightly and dashed forward to join the battle.
"Go get 'em" Hal told her with a grin.
Leila decided to no longer stare at Hal's rune casting abilities in awe as she summoned her cosmic Armament to fight the enemies with physicality along with Suri Hander.
Hal and Melinda were now side-by-side and had both summoned their Cosmic Armaments as they shared a look before walking forward to join the battle with their main targets being the two leaders of the enemy Guilds.
As they made their way toward the Guild leaders, both Hal and Melinda made sure to take an active part in the large-sized battle by taking down more than a few enemies.
But it was always with a nonchalance and a clear expression that this was only a side quest on the road to their targets.
The Officials present for the battle looked at Melinda and Hal with wide eyes.
Especially Hal and the ability he had so far showcased while looking like they had cost him nothing.
While Hal and Melinda made their way towards their targets, Valerie soon found herself fighting close to Sassy who used no Cosmic energy from start to finish and had only relied on her physical strength and flexibility.
And she really was flexible.
The emerald-eyed lady leaped about with such grace and hit so hard that the sounds of cracking bones could be heard.
Valerie was focused on fighting and would not allow her enemy to have an opportunity to take advantage but she could not help but spare Sassy a thought and marvel at the lady's abilities.
'Why does he just seem to always have women around him? Just how many does that bastard have?' she asked in her mind with a bit of a frown. The 'bastard' obviously referred to Hal.
In regards to Sassy's abilities though, Valerie was not the only one to notice.
Many members of the Sapphirine Guild had noticed the first to attack after Hal's Array and who was already establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with.
*Boomm!!!*
Melinda preceded her and Hal's arrival before the leaders of the opposing Guilds with a strike of crescent golden flames she sent their way with her white sword Cosmic armament.
Before the flames could make contact though, the two not only leaped away but also surrounded themselves with Cosmic energy while letting the pressures of their cultivation at the mid-stage of the Cosmic Pagoda realm explode out of them in a torrent.
Now that he was close enough to them, Hal could be bothered to look at what they had stamped on the left chest of their robes as the symbols of their respective Guilds but he did not care enough to actually repeat the Guild names.
These two were nothing but fodder... Whether they knew it or not...
"We are nothing like Gilbert Doe" Said one of them with confidence as he summoned a spear cosmic Armament and then retrieved a shield Artifact from his spatial ring.
"The name is Lan Akuile by the way. It is good to know the name of the one who will defeat you" he said as he got into position with his weapons facing Hal.
"And my name is Rowan Floone. Prepare to go down!" the other one said before summoning a large green scythe that he waved around a few times for intimidation.
Hal nodded at the introductions as he and Melinda let it happen without interrupting before they both looked at each other,
"Yeah, we don't care," They said in unison before dashing toward their opponents.
Melinda towards Rowan and Hal towards Lan who charged cosmic energy into his shield to release a blast of Cosmic energy that shot towards Hal and smiled when it hit...
The smile was wiped off his face though when the Hal he hit vanished like an afterimage and the real Hal appeared behind him to strike at his unprotected back with an enhancement of Cosmic energy coating his hand.
Lan's eyes widened in shock at such a display of speed but he showed himself to be the Mid-stage Cosmic Pagoda realm cultivator that he was and spun around faster than Hal could hit him.
*Clang*
Hal's sword was repelled by the shield and he slid a few steps back but Lan quickly pursued.
As he did, he charged a cosmic Aurora that was strengthened with the might of his cultivation and shot it through his shield at Hal.
*Booommmm!*
Hal met the Cosmic Aurora with one of his while he simultaneously let out his Sovereign Aura which reduced the force behind the Cosmic Aurora by inflicting his rule on the Cosmic energy within the Aurora.
Lan furrowed his brows in confusion as his Cosmic Aurora did not have the desired effect but he continued to move towards Hal regardless.
He was one foot away from Hal when he felt oppression that forced his speed to slow down and as it slowed, he looked up at Hal who suddenly had the presence of a monarch.
The effect of Hal's Aura on him went beyond just being slower as Lan suddenly had a strong desire to surrender and turn away from this fight.
He shook his head to get rid of the feeling but Hal took advantage of the lapse in concentration to go behind Lan and deliver a kick that had the Guild leader flying feet away from him.
"Damn it" Lan groaned but his troubles were nowhere near over as he smacked into a Rune circle that Hal just made appear.
The Rune Circle sent him flying back towards Hal who made a fist and prepared to deliver a crippling hit...
